Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

This is a bit mroe southern-sounding than the debut, and again, they try to play the classic-rock card, but this would still fit right in on "active-rock" radio. They want to sound like BLS, but end up sounding more like an electrified Days Of The New. The good songs are "Blind Man," "Please Come In," "Soul Creek," "Long Sleeves," and a really cool, almost bluegrass breakdown in "The Key." "Sunrise" is left over from their self-released Rock n' Roll Tape, and should've stayed there. |

Absolutely love this & it's got to be one of the best albums I've heard in a while. From the opening track "Blind man" I was hooked & continued to be for the rest of the album. Strong production from Bob Marlette (This guy is always involved with quality releases) gives the songs an added power & mixed with some great choruses which should allow this to appeal to the masses. Other highlight are "Reverend wrinkle", "Ghost of Floyd Collins", "Things my father said", "Long sleeves", "Devil's queen" & "The key" although any of the tracks would be a highlight on most other albums. BRILLIANT !!!!!!!!!! |
