If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Lightspeed CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Lightspeed are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

It amazes me somewhat that this band seems to get overlooked as they provide prime slices of pomp with that style that only Canadian bands have. Aerial, Zon and even Mannequin spring to mind when I listen to their releases but that is not to say they are carbon copies in any way. BUT I should hold my head in shame as I only got into them maybe 18 months - 2 years ago, thus missing out seeing them in the U.K. This is a pretty superb album leading off with the anthemic Peak Fires with its soaring

(cont) chorus. The acoustic driven Young at Heart is another gem. Then comes the mini suite that is Waves of Emotion, which again is top notch. In fact that the album took so long to find release is a sad indication on where record label are at these days, well done Majestic for getting it out there. The bands previous 2 releases "So Exactly Where are We?" and "On Second Thought" are also worth digging out and grabbing up.

I will hold my head in shame even more, as I have only just got this a few weeks ago, although was aware of their name. Excellent review Nick, so I will say no more than to echo your comments of well done Majestic and go and buy it if your a fan of top notch 'Pomp material' - Nice to be able to say that of a new release in '07. On the strength of this, I will now go and check out the other 2!!!
