AN EXPLICIT EXAMPLE OF A SHITTY ALBUM OF THE 80'S METAL. TOKYO BLADE WAS NOTHING AND WILL REMAIN NOTHING IN MUSICAL LANDSCAPE. LISTEN TO BODINE INSTEAD !

simply superb . High energy , honesty and class abound . Worth £1,000 .How they never made it at home is beyond me . This set the stage for Black hearts and jaded spades to come .So buy both of them .. C shiels Ireland 2002

Excelent Album ,This is one of my favorite disc!

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 9, 2002 at 8:39
I rather preffer this one than their first release self-titled lp(which does not feature on this site). My real favourite one is "Black Hearts and Jadded Spades".Their third effort(also is not featured in this site).I also preffer Vic on vocals that the first singer Allan Marsh.I think he sounds like a beginer.Important yo say is that the release with the same title is the demos of this one recorded with Allan on vocals.More raw and a bit heavier. The production on this one is way better!

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 9, 2002 at 8:51
I also think that this effort can't be called hard rock. They were a nwobhm band,This record surely is HM only sometimes it flerts with some HR elements.Neat incisive guitars, clean, rebel, hard driven vocals and hard, heavy drumms.Melodic choruses and good looks!Another exelent band that did not have the proper respect! One curiosity is that recorded their 2 first efforts totaly live!Everybody playing toghether on the studio, because they did't have enougth money to spend on a decent recording!80/10

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 9, 2002 at 8:54
After this record their sound became hard rock instead of traditional heavy metal! But they still sounded very heavy!

i think that t.b. is a spirited 80´s nwobhm band, not my favourite band, but i enjoy it! rating: 7.5/10

UNO DE MIS DISCOS PREFERIDOS DE TODAS LAS EPOCAS. LA PERFECTA ARMONIA ENTRE FUERZA Y MELODIA. SONIDO TIPICAMENTE INLGES, EN ESPECIAL SUS GUITARRAS, CON ESE TOQUE "MAIDEN" QUE TANTO SE LES ACHACO EN SU MOMENTO. INCREIBLE QUE NO HAYAN LLEGADO MAS LEJOS EN SU MOMENTO, AUNQUE MAS ALLA QUE "BLACKHEARTS..." NO ES UN MAL DISCO, PARA ENTONCES SE HABIAN VOLCADO A LAS TENDENCIAS AMERICANAS DE LA EPOCA, TANTO EN LO MUSICAL COMO EN LO VISUAL, Y FUERON PERDIENDO VALIA. DE TODAS MANERAS ESTE DISCO ES LA GLORI

NO ENTIENDO CÓMO ESTE GRUPO Y ESTE DISCO EN CONCRETO NO ARRASÓ... ES DE LO MEJORCITO DE LA NWOBHM.DUROS Y ELEGANTES, BUENAS GUITARRAS, VOZ MELÓDICA Y BASTANTE CAÑA EN LA BATERÍA. DAN GANAS DE MOVER LA CABEZA Y APORREAR ESA GUITARRA IMAGINARIA QUE TODOS TENEMOS. LO DICHO,DE LO MEJORCITO

I discovered this album in '89 from a friend's boyfriend - and since then, I think I've met 3 other people who actually know about them! What can I say, South Florida isn't exactly a hotbed of rock fans. This album just blew me away, and I still give it a spin every so often.

This is the only Tokyo Blade album I've ever heard, but I love it. I got it back when first it came out, and never got why they weren't a little more successful. This IS a Heavy Metal album; not Hard Rock. I was listening to Maiden a lot then, and this fit right in. Honestly, one of the lost greats of the 80's.

I agree! A real SPETTACOLO! By thw way.. are you italian as I am?

From: TokyoBlade Date: March 5, 2004 at 13:54
Terrible. Night of the blade the night before is beter. Same songs, different vocals.

From: Dean Date: March 5, 2004 at 17:52
Totally disagree with the previous poster- i guess it's just a matter of personal taste because i think Vic Wright is a much better vocalist than Alan- the fact that they are singing the exact same songs makes it pretty easy to compare but i think Vic's vocals kick ass.

Dear Mr Marsh(or is that M & M)- Does *****@!#~$£^£! translate as "fucking awesome"? You are so right- I totally agree. I love it when people show total goodwill toward the people who REPLACED them. Cheers

No, it means that I was better and all the albums with me in were better. They brought me back later and they were better as well. Listen to Burning Down Paradise!

Hello all. I just though that I'd let you know that there is now a new TB forum up and running. http://cobranaconda.proboards32.com/index.cgi It has me as the admin and Chris Marsh (Alan's son) as a Global Mod. I hope that you all come and visit.

OF THE BLADE THERE´S NO ESCAPE!!!

The magic of the cd brings this jewel with tons of bonus tracks!!!.I bought the vinyl when it came out and i'm looking forward to get the cd.What can i say about this...FANTASTIC!!!.10/10

From: CS2007 Date: October 9, 2007 at 19:47
The second full length Tokyo Blade album. While Tokyo Blade's debut album was more consistent, the highlights on this album surpass those of the debut. "Warrior of the Rising Sun" is the best song Tokyo Blade ever recorded. The title track is also excellent. There are a few commercial sounding songs here, but a couple of them are quite good. "Lightning Strikes (Straight Through the Heart)" is the best of the more commercial sounding songs. A good album, but the later Tokyo Blade albums suck.

2nd step for TOKYO BLADE and surely a good one!high energy guitar driven heavy rock music all around with many good songs like "someone to love","love struck","dead of the night".the band sounds so alive and strong and it captures the spirit of the mid 80 s heavy scene.good release
