Album number 6 from the monster guys (and gal) and as with past releases, liking this will depend heavily on weather you can get on with the vocals or not. Personally, Mr. Lordi's vocal style has always reminded me of Udo from Accept (not everyone's cup of tea vocally either I know), but coupled with their heavy but highly melodic style, razor sharp riffs and huge choruses, they have never failed to disappoint. 'To Beast Or Not To Beast' is no different. Same template as before, albeit a slightly heavier sound, aided by another massive Michael Wagener production job. The choruses are still there big time too 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' 'The Riff', 'Horrification', 'Candy For The Cannibal' and the mighty 'Hulking Dynamo' all hit the spot nicely thanks very much. Another great album and The Monster train rolls mightily on. \m/ |

Great stuff! The Arockalypse remains unbeatable but this is an excellent album from the finnish monstars. Highly recommended for all heavy metal/horror freaks out there! |
