I don't know if this is my favourite or the 1st Storm release. The pop sensibilities of the debut are toned down a little on this and in this respect it makes it a much "heavier" album, but there is still plenty of variation in style from the mid paced rock of Settle Down to the heads down no nonsense of Running From You (which has a similar feel to Machine Gun from the 1st release, to the gentle Come Home. My favourite track is Hand in Hand which is just amazing. The band also wear their heart

...(cont) on their collective sleeves somewhat with the song Pez the opening drumbeat being quite reminiscent of quite a big U.K. band (figure it out from the song title!). The demo's are pretty interesting and it's good to hear some different material but they are hardly essential, having said that well done to Rock Candy for making them available. Superb!

My love of this album holds no bounds, so when I heard this was getting a long overdue release on CD, you can imagine my reaction. I won't add a lot to Nick's comments, as they are spot on, although I definately prefer this one to the excellent debut as it has more consistency in the songs & as Nick says, is slightly less 'Quirky' & more balls out than the first one. As with Nick, my fave track is the magnificent 'Hand In Hand', but ALL the others are quite breath taking at times as well.

'Settle Down' is a fabulous opener whilst 'Runnin' From You' is 'Machine Gun' part 2, Storm at their Rollicking best, whilst the light and shade of the disc is added by 'Come Home' with it's almost 'Folky' feel. The most noticeable thing about this disc is the more Led Zep/Queen touch than on the debut, especially on tracks like 'Pez' & 'Anything For Your Love'. I shall say no more - Re-issue of the year! make that re-issue of the decade & one quite magnificent album from start to finish.

por fabor!! este es uno de los discos con femina a la voz mas gordos que a parido el aor,por cierto, imagino que esta gente escuchaba bastante a queen en el momento de componer este album "anything for your love" suena sospechosamente y descaradamente a una noche en la opera. 90/100

This album kills!!!..as simple as that!!!..great female fronted band (Jeanette Chase that strongly reminded me of Karla DeVitos who was Meat Loaf's backing singer) well Jeanette had the voice and the attitude needed in rock!!!...is a shame this act didn't break through the way they deserved it because talent and passion they had..."Settle Down" great, the best track!!! how much i love this track...,"Runnin' From You" rocks the house fine,"Come Home" solid powerful ballad,"Hand In Hand" could be easily labeled as another "best of",an excellent song indeed,"Anything For Your Love" is such an epic one,it has a great piano part courtesy of the vocalist Jeannete Chase,"Play With Me" is also a catchy rocking shot,"Pez" is a powerful semi instrumental one,"Take Me Away" is...AOR!!! & "So Long" ends the album (vinyl) great!!!...the re-edition on cd of this classic has some bonus tracks that might be appealing to listen as they are demos and rare stuff...try this album, you won't be dissapoint
