When this came out all those years ago I absolutely loved it and have been waiting for ages for the CD release. Now it's here and I still love it!! It might not be to everyones taste as it is quite OTT but for me this is a killer (re)release. Imagine Queen meets a heavy Blondie..kind of. I can't list a fave track as they are all great but ones that may be a little more immediate to the uninitiated are..I Want You, Hyperdrive, Wake Up, Young Young and Machine Gun. From gentle ballads like (cont) |

You Pity Me to just out and out rockers like the previously mentioned Young Young, to total pop metal mayhem of What Do You Like .. "Well the boots and the chains and the whips are nice...but I'd rather have my sugar and spice". No bad tracks ...a Godsend of a CD release. Jeanette Chase is a great lung buster of a singer in the same class as Karen Lawrence (1994). Give it a try you just might like it. |

Nick says it all really and his comparisons of Queen meet a heavy Blondie are as good a description as you are gonna get with this,as it is quite ecclectic musically . One thing is for sure, it is a mighty disc with some incredible stuff on it. 'I Want You', 'Wake Up' and the thundering 'Machine Gune' are my picks. Watch out for the second album also titled 'Storm' to be re-issued in July, which IMO is even better than this. |

The second and the unreleased album are better by far, esta en algo este pero no se compara a los otros que tiene ese inedito es la pasada sin duda una de las mejores bandas liderada vor una voz femina, y ya se viene Brasil con toda su Magia igualito al Rock de lo 80's!!! |

Very good debut for STORM in the late 70 s with their sound have elements of bands like QUEEN,HEART,SWEET & ABBA!quite energetic and electric just after a few spins will get into you and you ll find the hooks you need!all the songs are interesting and especially "you pity me","machine fun" and "aint that the Way"! recommended |
