THIS ALBUM IS THE WORST 80'S RECORD I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

From: Musicfan Date: September 12, 2001 at 9:13
Hey retardboy, what the hell are you talking about? This album kicks major ass! If you don't like this genre of music, go back to you 'NSync CDs.

HEY (BOY) THIS ALBUM ROCKS IT'S NOT THERE BEST BUT IT'S NOT THE WORST I GIVE IT A 8/10 AS EVERYONE ELSE WOULD AGREE

From: stayhungry Date: November 11, 2001 at 7:37
This is one of the BEST albums of ALL TIME! Vito Bratta's playing is some of the most beautiful I've ever heard. And boy, you obviously don't play an instrument because if you did you'd know true talent when you heard it. Maybe you should stick with manufactured pop like Britney Spears and N'Snyc. Leave the metal for those who live and breathe it.

From: marley's my son Date: February 18, 2002 at 19:53
A very dissapointing album from a very talented band. I bought this album the year it was released and was hoping to hear great solos and songs from Vito Bratta. There is this amazing solo in 'Little Fighter. Most of the songs are not that good.

From: dokken6008 Date: April 2, 2002 at 15:44
What can I say? White Lion IS a very good band, but they were never quite my cup of tea--that's it. This cd did very little for me. The two songs that are quite good are 'Cry For Freedom' (a very emotional song) and 'Little Fighter', but there isn't much else on the not so big 'Big Game' to keep me interested. As far as musicianship goes, Vito Bratta is THE MAN; his style is so unique. The vocals SUCK; I hate the guts out of Mike Tramp--I cannot believe he even made it to such a good band. 6/10.

From: TOBAH Date: July 18, 2002 at 1:14
One of my favorites cds, White Lion was a great band, I got this one in 1989 when it first came out and I still love it. By the way, What the hell happened to Vito, does anybody knows ?

From: Rockforever Date: July 24, 2002 at 13:07
The music here is better than most pop-metal bands of the era. I still think that if you're going to add White lion to your collection start with the Best Of, and then maybe buy the albums later. Mike Tramp is annoying (his hair-rock appearance in their videos didn't help the band as they were much better than Poison,Warrant etc.), but Vito Bratta's playing is tasteful and soulful, something you can't say about many guitarists of the era (all hairspray, pouting and flash, a la CC DeVille).

From: TOBAH Date: August 10, 2002 at 0:11
A friend saw Vitto working at Domino's, seems like music does not pay the bills...What happened to you Vitto you were one of the finest guitar player of the 80's era.

From: Baris Date: September 6, 2002 at 3:10
I remember Vito having a Lamborgini in the video of 'Radar Love'. This machine may be useful for him to make a quick pizza delivery. Think about it man!!!

From: Eirik-Norway Date: June 9, 2003 at 18:30
Ok, Vito Bratta did a good job with White Lion, but where is he now....? At least Mike Tramp is still out there making the best music ever. Check out all three solo records and Freak of Nature, superb.

Hey Eirik-Norway. Youre right. Mike is better than ever. 1-0 to Denmark. :-) Ha ha. Solskjaer rocks....

this was lil heavier side of white lion as apossed to Pride ... not many slow ones ... Little Fighter was a great song as well as the remake deal on Radar Love wich had an awesome guitar solo i think . but i really like If My Mind is evil and Stand Up and Cry for Freedom ... did any one notice that the opening to lets get crazy gets played in the live version of Lady Of the valley ?? well i did and i think its cool . goin home tonight and livin on the edge are great songs too ... great cd!!

From: Date: October 2, 2003 at 21:38
Vito Bratta is a fantastic guitarist, no doubt about it, but the rest are a classic metal cliche. The music on this album was really appauling. It was just regurgitated metal tripe. Mike Tramp was a try-hard wanna-bee...and he failed miserably. White Lion will not be remembered as a great or even good metal act...where are they now, and does anyone really give a shit?! Vito was a wasted talent in this mediocre outfit...give me pre '91 Metallica of Rush anyday!! 2.5/10

Although I loved PRIDE and FIGHT TO SURVIVE, this one didn't do as much for me. I liked 'Little Fighter' and the cover of 'Radar Love' kicks, but the rest kinda leaves me cold. Sorry folks, this one really isn't worth your time. Get the first two albums instead.

From: Metal Pete Date: February 5, 2004 at 20:50
Freddy nailed it. Two great songs, and lots of forgettable filler. After the incredible 'Pride' I was highly disappointed. I remember returning this cassette and buying 'Mr.Big' debut.

From: Impaler Date: February 22, 2004 at 12:52
Not as good as 'Pride' but still some good tracks. This is another one you should get since you can likely pick it up for the price of a burger.

From: Lupe74 Date: February 28, 2004 at 4:28
This may not have been there best album, but it did have one of there best songs 'Little Fighter'. What can you say, they kick ass. And they only got better, to bad they broke up. Hope that Reunion Tour happens this year ''With Vitto Bratta'.

From: Tiffani Date: March 13, 2004 at 13:56
I love listening to this CD!! It takes me back to my teenage years, and Mike's voice is so soothing, while Vito's guitar is kick ass!!!! Won't ever stop listening to this one!!! I give it a 9.5/10!!!

From: red Date: April 3, 2004 at 1:08
Overall a decent album. Maybe a little too polished, but still a sharp sound. Lost some of the edge that was on Pride.

From: nugroho Date: April 18, 2004 at 10:26
vito is the best one of thousand world guitarist. he could play like ed van halen but i miss his new band can show his skills in melodies again. i hope he can come in indonesia like mike tramp ever did here. salute to you vito.....

From: Mike h Date: May 3, 2004 at 0:49
This was their third album and last good album. Usually when a band comes out with a third album it really sucks and you can tell they dont have it in them anymore. but not these guys. this album kicks ass and there is a great cover of RADAR LOVE. LITTLE FIGHTER is probably the best song on the cd that was originally written by them.

From: jack Date: May 19, 2004 at 6:30
Never know why i like this album when i hate warrant's first two album. Both are too 'pop' and 'light'. little fighter and radar love are two of my favourite songs.CRY FOR FREEDOM is also a good song.Dirty women and let's get crazy are two good rocking song, although thereare some cheesy tune.Rating:7/10

From: TIM (2) Date: June 2, 2004 at 9:08
Probably not their finest moment, but I think the criticism was a bit harsh. It seemed to be mainly focused on the fact that the guitars took a slight back seat, as you can hear from the first half of the album. I love 'Going Home Tonight', 'Little Fighter' and 'Cry for Freedom' particularly, but there's no disguising this as anything but a patchy effort. 'Mane Attraction' more than made up for any short-comings...

From: Rycheage Date: June 26, 2004 at 16:01
Barring a couple of tunes, this is not up to 'Pride' or even what was to come 'Mane Attraction'. 'Little Fighter' and 'If My Mind Is Evil' are good, strong pop metal but the gem of the CD is their cover of Golden Earring's 'Radar Love'. 'Cry For Freedom' is good but seemed too political for a pop metal band.

From: metal Jay Date: July 30, 2004 at 23:48
Little Fighter is a true classic. Very uplifting...This band tended to disapoint after Pride.

From: Uusiolli Date: August 5, 2004 at 19:40
A better album than Pride. For those who likes Radar Love, check out Omen's version, that rocks. I don't like Mike's voice and Vito is not so much rock, although very talented guitarplayer. 6/10

From: Geoff Date: August 5, 2004 at 20:39
Wow, people think this is better than 'Pride'?! I'm amazed! I'm not the hugest White Lion fan but I adore 'Mane attraction' and love 'Pride' too. This one however, bar the wonderful 'Little fighter' and brilliant 'Livin' on the edge' really does nothing for me. Very average and plain hard rock album. Bad, at times...

From: Big Mike Date: December 6, 2004 at 20:07
Don't listen to 'BOY' at the top. He's obviously a cock slapper. Most wouldn't agree but I think this is White Lions Best.... It just has a thicker sound than PRIDE. Songs are first class.

From: cock slapper Date: May 4, 2005 at 1:24
Great album, 'Little Fighter' is a great song. One of my all time favourites, especially the solo. Apparently Vito was told by a producer once to 'tone down' his playing- as in don't be so good- and Vito knew then it was time to hang up the guitar. A likely story considering the pathetic grunge tidal wave that washed all the decent players away. But, pizza shop??? Fuckin no way man, god i hope not.

From: Sven Pelz Date: May 29, 2005 at 6:49
What a gitarhero. Living on the edge is burning live. The songs are pretty cool but the best record from the band is definitly Mane attraction.

From: Adam Blackheart Date: August 19, 2005 at 12:55
Pride - Big Game - Mane Attraction - great trilogy. They made a lot of beautiful tunes on that three albums, where are they now (a broken heroes?). They are too good to play in the small clubs or... work in pizza shop. White Lion Rockzz, listen and learn!!!

From: themartin Date: July 20, 2006 at 10:17
weak Weak Weak, their worst effort. Just good songs: Cry For Freedom, Little Fighter & Radar Love though they ain't any wonder. The other songs are very lame, Aguante Argentina!!!

From: metalhead4life Date: August 22, 2006 at 19:26
Great band, decent album, not their best but worth buying. My favorite tracks from this one are Little Fighter (awesome song) and Don't Say It's Over. 7/10

From: BIG-TIME Date: November 18, 2006 at 20:38
I think this album is pant's not really into White Lion they have the odd good song and that's about it. I liked the Mane Atrraction album but I just dont get this album what is it supposed to be hard/soft rock, Metal. I pained my way through this hoping it would get good but it left me cold...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: Gaijn72 Date: March 15, 2007 at 16:58
Ive got this CD quite a while (since it came out) and i love it cry for freedom was even a top 10 hit single over here in Holland Mike is a great performer (i've seen him with freak of nature in Holland and he kicks ass on stage) A damn shame no label over here brings out any of his music and i've got to import it all But since his music is priceless ... you know!!!

From: Rambo Rockerman Date: January 20, 2008 at 11:47
This Cd was a disappointments compare to Pride, but still a good CD worth getting.Little Fighter and Cry For Freedom are two classic songs on it

I ain't gonna lie to ya and say I play this tape every week or even every month, but I've always liked it a lot better than Pride. Songs like "Dirty Woman" and "Let's Get Crazy" are uninspired and juvenile lyrically (and not the Van Halen worship on the latter), and Tramp's take on the breakdown of the nuclear family in "Broken Home" is laughably simplistic. But then there are other tunes that are just plain great, like the irresistible "Goin' Home Tonight," "Little Fighter," the surprisingly nasty "If My Mind Is Evil," and the excellent "Cry For Freedom," with that sucker-punch guitar part in the middle. I've always hated Golden Earring's original version of "Radar Love," but thought White Lion's kicked ass as well.

Probably a soft release if you compare it with the 2 previous ones but WL was never meant to be a heavy act,as simple as that...for me,a decent Record...1,3,4(nice),7, 10(Golden Earring cover)& 11(probably the best cut)are my faves...86/100

another masterpiece for WHITE LION and my fav of their catalogue as it was the first i bought of them when it was released and i was stunned by their quality ,musicianship and sound!Vito s performance is outstanding and every solo is a miracle!wow!all the songs are excellent and cant find anything missing with a big variety from mid tempos,to rockers ,ballads even some heavier riffs as well!Big Game surely is one of the albums that marked me as a hard rocker

I don't know how well this album performed sales or chartwise, but it seems like it had to have been something of a ouppointment. Pride was so slow to take off, but eventually spawned two top-ten hits in America. "Little Fighter" came out as a single in July of 1989, barely five months after "When The Children Cry" fell off the charts. And that song was on MTV a lot, and I think topped out in the 50's on the Billboard Hot 100 (in the same neighborhood as "Tell Me" a year earlier). Then came "Radar Love," which was on Dial-MTV every night for two months. I dunno, was it seen as too much of a novelty. You run that risk with a cover song, I guess. And I don't believe they released a follow-up single. Like they gave up on the album or something. And if Big Game did underwhelm at the label, you'd have to figure that would influence how hard they were willing to push Mane Attraction (which was not at all, as it turned out). I just wonder now how many people were really into White Lion back t

Now that I'm typing on an actual keyboard (moderators can feel free to clean up the mess I made) ... I wonder now if White Lion were really that big, despite two big hits. GUitar nerds loved Vito, and supposedly girls swooned over Mike, but maybe not in the way they did for Jon Bon Jovi or Sebastian Bach? It's too bad, because this is a better album than Pride, with less of that stereotypical '80's production. "Goin' Home Tonight," "Little Fighter," "Living On The Edge" and "Don't Say It's Over" are great pop-metal chestnuts. I hear "Cry For Freedom" on SiriusXM sometimes, and I wonder if that was the follow-up to "Radar Love." Regardless, by the time Mane Attraction came out, I really don't feel like too many people were exactly clamoring for it.
