This is another great record, from great vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. The openig track from this record is one of the best that i've heard. |

Jeff Scot Soto has been kissed by the Gods of AOR. His voice is stratospheric. This cd is a masterpiece, great melody and fantastic duels between keyboards and guitar. The new cd from this band(without Jeff)sounds softer than this. In the future I hope that Neal Grusky will come back to this powerful melodic AOR. |

Mr. JEFF SCOTT SOTO IS AN OUTSTANDING VOCALIST. HE REALLY KNOWS HOW TO GIVE EMOTION TO SONGS. THIS CD IS GREAT . A GEM OF HARD ROCK. |

This is the album that really made me appreciate Melodic Rock. Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen, Steel Dragon) Sang on this album and it came out totally awesome. Every song is very catchy and is instantly memorable. The guitars, drums and bass are all really well played. This is a very talented band. If you aren't really familiar with Melodic Rock I strongly suggest checking this album out! |

This is very much melodic hard rock by numbers, but with Soto at the front you know there's an air of class about it. The songs are all pretty good, if not the majority lacking a major spark, but my personal faves are 'Don't walk away' - melodic excellence, and the beautiful ballad 'Colors fade'. Aside from that, good solid melodic hard rock and my favourite Takara CD. Good stuff. |

For me this is VERY generic and just like a bit too cheezy, and to be honest boring! The production is awful either killing my speakers with bad bass, or too high. I just don't care for this type of rock... sounding abit like his days with Malmsteen, (nah not for me) or Talisman (yes I like)... Jeff is a gret singer but I don't think this works even with him at the helm... Oh! just thought it sounds like the Biker Mice from Mars tune (like said cheezy) so for me this is dull and forgetable... KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!! |

This album has songs that could have been melodic rock classics! Very nice song structures, perfect melodies etc. But wtf have they done with the sound?!?! Definitly one of the worst productions ever. |

Yet another very good hard rock release involving Jeff Scott Soto. Haven't played it for a while but I don't remember any duff tracks on the album & seem to recall liking "I Din't believe" as a favourite. |

their best record.superb work from jeff scott soto and his friends.this album is a classic.the ballads are simply fabulous.the others songs are splendids slices of hard fm.a must have.unfortunatelly no bonus tracks on the japan import |
From: rick kerch vzla | Date: July 7, 2012 at 17:45 |
So many bands, projects and records that Mr Soto has been involved with that for me this Takara debut is like "another one"..."Passions Of The Heart" is a highlight undoubtebly and obviously you have some others in the same league such as tracks 1,2,4,8 & 9...enjoyable rather than recommendable IMO...87/100 |
