A very nice surprise this one. The debut was pretty good all around, but this one is even better. Tracks 1-6 are new songs, 7-9 very good quality demos from 86-88 & 10 is a good quality live track. It takes a couple of tracks to fully get going, but once it does there are some fabulous tracks on this one. 'Joann', 'Innocence Of Yesterday' & the mega 'Lovers In The Shadow' for starters. This release covers most bases from MR,AOR and a bit of Pompy stuff aswell, so should satisfy most people here.

Finally a new Rox Diamond record, after all these years ! Don't think this one is better than the debut (which was more powerfull, better produced, more pompy . . .), but it's still a great record ! This one is more AOR-ish, certainly, but better ? Let's say it's recommended anyway !

I agree with Jez on this one, it beats the debut IMO purely on quality of songwriting - especially evident on the 3 excellent demos. The title-track is very average but it then gradually gets into gear before the excellent "Joann" starts a great mid-album run of tunes. Personal fave is "Innocence of Yesterday" which is magnificently written & one of more pure AOR tracks - with a huge chorus. Considering it's a mix of studio/demo/live tracks it flows seamlessly & is well worth getting IMO. 8/10.

Rox diamond are one of me all time faves. I got this CD this morning from the bands web site www.roxdiamond.com after hearing song samples. F*** me!"", THIS IS TREMENDOUS STUFF!!!. Absolutely brilliant. I love this kind of music and been a huge fan since I got the first album when that came out in the early 90s. I am so glad Paul and the band are back. Best news for years. No one at the moment writes such great songs and plays this kind of music as well as these guys A must have as well as the c

La produccion no es buena, los temas son de estudio, demos y la ultima canción en vivo. Regular album en todo caso. Es un AOR que suena a principios de los 80s. Me gustan los solos que hay en todas las canciones. Solo tengo 3 favoritas "joann" "innocence of yesterday" y "lovers in the shadows". La voz tambien es muy buena, a lo Newman. Un album Regular. 7/10

A couple of stellar songs on offer here w/the blissful 'Joann' and uptempo 'Lovers In The Shadow,' both straight out of 1987, easily stealing the show for me....A very good melodic rock album from start to finish and fantastic band....AND, according to Paul Daniels, lead singer, both he and the orig. guitar player have joined w/some additional session musicians to write and record a third Rox Diamond album, about halfway completed at this time. He further stated they have a deal w/Frontiers- which is OUTSTANDING news to me and I'm sure will be to other fans as well!!

AOR???...i agree more with jstoyz concept(melodic rock)...anyway talking about the tracks you have here plenty of goodies such as "Heartbeat Away","Joann","Rock Bottom","Lovers In The Shadow","Holdin' Out For Heaven"(catchy),"Thinkin'Bout Love"( ) & "You're Not The Only One"(badass bass & drums intro) in its live version...recommended...85/100

thanx to heavy harmonies i discover a second record from this excellent band.their first record is an absolute masterpiece, and others comments are very great.so i decide to find this raritie.finally i ve find it on amazon.hum even if track 4 "joann" is very great, even if the live version of "you re not the only one" (track 10)is excellent, this second realise is for me a big deception.track 3.6 and 9 are very very weak.the other songs are average and looks like often to artica"as it should be".this record is absoluty not at the same level than their first realise.
