Average release by Mariah. This is more AOR Rock than Melodic Hard Rock. There are too many ballads and slow songs here. Best songs Knocked Down, Jaime and Heaven Cries Down On Me. I seen this band live when they were Pretty Boy and they were a little more rockier early Bon Jovi Sounding band.Worth checking out though. Rated 7/10. |

Average? Oh, I don't think so! Yes, it's more AOR than melodic rock, but which is the problem? It's only a matter of personal taste... For me, this is another lost gem from early '90s, a great example of music plenty of great melodies, keyboards and guitars... Highly recommended! Rated 9/10. |

The best album with Mariah. Much better than the second one. |

Bought this album on cassette when it first came out in 1990. Thought the sound was really, really bad - maybe it was my cassette? Managed to DL it (from a cd), still the same p*ss-poor production. The songs and the musicianship are great. Tyketto would be a reference point for this one. My fav song on this is the awesome 'You should know by now'. |

A shame that bands like this one dis not have success.I hear in these guys the same beauty of Tyketto or Julliet, great vox and fine melodies, too. Both cds’are very good,I like them in the same way. |

Wow!Simply awesome. After a more attented listening I can say it's one of the best obscured releases ever heard.A sort of pomp hard/aor of high quality, great musicians here, the samey shame this little gem came out on cd after 15 years.....It's close to 10 for me. |

I just can't appreciate music with such a bad sound/production. Don't know if this comes from the rip I downloaded (doubt so), but I just can tell that some songs sound very melodic, other than that, it hurts my ears. |
From: Dr_Funk | Date: February 10, 2008 at 12:44 |
The sound is not that bad - not enough to hurt the ears. It just sounds like it's coming through the radio. I love this album - this band, actually. I've got all three Mariah albums and this one is the best, even with the poor sound quality. If you want a better sounding copy, get it from Retrospect Records. I've got a downloaded version and a bought copy and I never noticed the difference until I saw all these comments about hurting ears and shit. It's sounds much, much cleaner. So put down 15 |

bucks and if you don't like it sell it on eBay for 5 and charge the guy 10 bucks in shipping. But I gaurantee you'll keep it. Everyone talks about how Tyketto's Don't Come Easy is one of the best MHR albums ever produced, and if that's true you ahould be obliged to, at the least, listen to this one. I'm not saying it's on par with Don't Come Easy, but it's good nonetheless. Sorry for my rant. |

a must have?absoluty NO.it is a very very average record.the best songs are 1,7 some others greats songs tracks 6,9.but the rest is a poor classic a o r with no inspiration not an inche of class.this cd is boring the songs are too long they never ending.too many ballads ,an a o r very light.i am a fan of a o r (i love roxette for exemple).why roxette is not on this site?the ballads playing by mariah are a pity!it is easy to understand why this band don t find a deal in 1990. |

I prefer their 'Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth' than this one, good Melodic HardRock CD. 100/100 wow no hay que hacer que eres un payaso sin infancia, te falta madurar y salir al aire libre, mal figurita. 8.8/10 |
