This was voted in the top 100 rock albums of all time in Kerrang back in the 80's and whilst I wouldn't go quite that far, it is another strong album in their back catologue. Demon have always been noted for the strong Lyrical aspect to their music (The Plague, British Standard Approved especially) and this one carries on that tradition with 'England's Glory' & 'Through These Eyes'. Not their best, but definately worth checking out. |

Agree with my friend Rafo Phoenix and Jez...for me this album sounds like the type of music Uriah Heep did in mid 80's too...some British bands that mainly were Hard Rock/Metal did a change into a more mainstream direction(that included AOR too)and well Demon was not the exception...best shots are "Hurricane","Living In The Shadow","Standing In The Shadow"(this one strongly reminds me of Meat Loaf's type of songs ),"Big Chance"(excellent!)& "Finale"( an instrumental song that brings to memory the band Asia)...86/100 |

What an overlooked band they are..... One of their best releases, great melodic metal/hard rock release, better than many well known bands of their era. ++++++ |

very good release for DEMON back in 87 ,having keys in a strong dose in their sound and with the production being truly excellent!the band seems in good condition and the songwriting is in a satisfying level with songs like "life on the wire","breakout","through these eyes"!very pomp hard rock indeed |
