From: Juan Date: February 26, 2002 at 7:36

From: Tony_072 Date: March 6, 2002 at 6:04

From: Kim Date: May 29, 2002 at 1:23
................Im soooo dissapointed about this cd. This used to be one of my favorite bands, but this is NOT good.

From: MelodicBoy Date: June 6, 2002 at 22:20
I think I like this a bit more than Kim did. Good, but not as cool as the first two. A few too many fillers, but some keepers as well. Still willing to buy #4 when it comes out.

From: Kim Date: June 7, 2002 at 16:51
I will give it another try. The reason why I dont like this release so much, might be because the first two releases really knocked me over. They were fantastic.

From: Brigitta Date: June 11, 2002 at 2:49
Great release, especially track 8!! Oh Yeah!!!!!

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: July 19, 2002 at 19:03
Are you saving up some money??? Because Giant's new album "Official Bootleg/Live & Acoustic" will be coming out on Nov. 11th. I really don't give a rats ass, myself.

From: koogles Date: July 20, 2002 at 13:58
Good disc by 2001 standards, average disc by Giant and 1991 standards. "Don't Leave Me in Love" is as good as anything that fell out of Foreigner's ass cheeks though.

From: freddy de keyze Date: October 3, 2002 at 7:57
Fantastic return by these Giants ! A perfect mix between their first two records. And I even believe it's their best, better than even the fantastic debut ! I only miss mr. Pasqua and his keys, he's a genius. The best release of 2001 and Koogles, you have a point, the seventies and eigties were better, but this is a Great Album. Don't miss it and I'm waiting for album number 4 !!!

From: dave carr Date: November 8, 2002 at 6:02
anything by giant is pure genius.

From: jsmnavarro Date: November 12, 2002 at 14:31
Don´t leave me in love... ´nuff said!!

From: L.J. Date: December 25, 2002 at 18:35
Maestro.

From: Great Dane Date: January 16, 2003 at 0:24
Any fan of Giant (HUFF) should try to get a copy of an old ´Rick Springfield cd called Rock Of Life. Dan Huff produced it, and played guitar on it as well. It also features Alan Pasqua, and Randy Jackson. Cool album, which is out of print.

From: Great Dane Date: February 24, 2003 at 15:14
Just picked up a cd by Giant, which has just been released. Its called Live And Acoustic, The Official Bootleg. Damn good stuff. It has 13 fantastic tracks, which shows how good these guys were/are. I also picked up a cd by a guy called Joe Bonamassa. Damn can he play some good Rock'n Blues. THe disc I bought comes with a free DVD. Really good stuff too.

From: Rocknroll Date: March 31, 2003 at 13:14
Thank you Giant for your return, and thank you for your music that amaze us all

From: Larry Date: April 1, 2003 at 6:13
This comeback is a awesome comeback indeed! Much better than the Hardline comeback album.

From: GlenRavine Date: April 2, 2003 at 20:26
Just amazing - these guys know how to deliever. Tunes are catchy - the melodies are fine tuned and the musicianship between these three guys is great. 'Oh Yeah' - is fantastic - great hook - highly recommended - if your a fan - a must - if not - grab it to discover what AOR is all about.

From: Chris Date: May 30, 2003 at 21:54
This is NOT a comeback album, and neither is 'Live and acoustic'. This album is from start to finish made up of previously unreleased demo's that the band had stashed away for years. Don't get your hopes up about the band getting back together, as it just aint gonna happen.

From: brent Date: June 14, 2003 at 4:28
As Chris said not much at all was written especially for this album........although not in the class of their first two studio albums, how many people have songs of this class sitting around to release as "rejects". Amazing. Fingers crossed for some genuinely new songs. Brent.

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 14, 2003 at 10:00
It is true : we'll probably never gonna hear from Giant again, but III is for me their best, because their debut was good but too U2-ish ! and their second was not varied enough and I missed the keys on that one. This one is a mix of both and their best !

From: Patrick Date: June 14, 2003 at 13:48
What ? the Giant debut album is... "too U2-ish" ????? OMG... don't know if you mean it, but you're too freakin' funny

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 14, 2003 at 20:10
Yes, dear Patrick, I mean it ! Listen to the guitarwork from Dan, it's like you hear The Egde (or how is that U2 guitarist called ?). Listen carefully and you will hear what I mean. It's not a bad record, but the U2 influences are there. A pity !

From: Great Dane Date: June 14, 2003 at 21:36
Freddy for god sakes, Just because there is a riff(or even less) that sounds like something you´ve heard before, doesnt have to mean that its a ripp off. Its not like hearing The Edge. I like U2, but Dan is way ahead of him. So fckin what if 10 secs in a song sounds like U2. How much can U do on a 6 string guitar, that havent been played before. The genre we're discussing isnt really ' changing the world' is it. Talking 'down' to other users of heavyharmonies like you do *Dear Patrick*

From: Great Dane Date: June 14, 2003 at 21:39
Makes you sound like a clown. Like youre a hard rock oracle or something. Change The Batteries in your Hearing Aid if you think that Giant sounds like U2.

From: Rycheage Date: June 15, 2003 at 2:34
Essential. No question about it. There isn't a filler or a below average track amongst this lot. It's a tribute to the band that there was no room for songs of this quality on their original two studio albums. The songs themselves run together beautifully and have been organized into a perfect running order.

From: motley Date: June 16, 2003 at 22:57
That freddy de kreuze dude really got some weirds points. Check Accept for example. Calling Balls to the walls an AOR song with horns (or what it missed)

From: John Date: August 13, 2003 at 15:26
Giant's throwaways are better than 95% of every other band. I can see why these got left off the other two albums, but it's not like they're bad songs. Just not as good as the material that made it to the first two albums.

From: JarWi Date: August 24, 2003 at 10:08
good to know that there are still bands who stick to their roots. i hear no difference between this record and the 2 previous ones - hard rock in its best form: simply great.

From: Tony BCN Date: October 26, 2003 at 20:22

From: vandervelde Date: November 17, 2003 at 16:26
Excellent comeback from excellent band. This is a classic no doubt about it. I place this on third position just because two previous records are perfect....this is very close to perfection. 9,5/10 o yeah!!!!!

From: Harvey Date: November 26, 2003 at 19:46
Not bad, but nowhere near as good as either of the 1st 2 albums. Alot of it sounds like outtakes and, in fact, that's basically what it consists of. Buy with caution, cos the critics have over rated it!

From: AOR freaky Date: December 1, 2003 at 4:46
Once again I have to disagree with Harvey ! Man, this is the best Giant ! It's a mix of their first releases. O.K., I think it's older stuff, but is it bad ? NO WAY ! It's great ! I only wish there were more acts like the mighty Giant ! The music world would be a better place to live !

From: Kryiis Karl Date: January 10, 2004 at 9:00
Quite weak to my opinion, especially compared to the 2 first releases. What's the use of putting these boring ballads. Way too predictable stuff in this. Huff is a very talented guitarist, for sure. Very disappointed by III.

From: Pete Humbert Date: March 15, 2004 at 6:34
Giant rock. I've waited too long for III. Glad to add this piece of gold to my collection!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 13, 2004 at 1:27
Giant sure left a legacy. It's not often that melodic rock fans get excited for an album of leftovers, but when it is Giant, can any song really be a leftover? Some of these tracks are better than the songs that made albums "You Will Be Mine" and "Over You". But you also do see why some were leftover "Bad Case Of Loving You". 7/10

From: TIM (2) Date: July 6, 2004 at 7:00
Apparently "Don't Leave me in Love" was very close to making the 2nd release, but was pulled last minute as it didn't quite fit the style (which is true enough). As much as I love Mark Spiro's solo albums ("Dont Leave me in Love" was on "Devotion") he just can't sing it as well as Huff can. I liked "Its Not the End of the World" and "Can't Let Go" off this, but probably not enough to have put them on one of the first 2 classic albums.

From: MJ Date: August 20, 2004 at 15:56
Wow, this is a class band. I really like this album. Time to burn is still their finest album to date but this is quality too. Lets only hope they keep on writing! CLASS

From: rocketron Date: October 25, 2004 at 6:27
If you forget the first 2 classic albums and judge this release on its own merits, it really is a great album.

From: Mike Date: November 20, 2004 at 8:35
At last! One classic band, with a 100 points comeback album. God! Divine Giant feeling. Nothing like modern sounds, pure AOR!! THX GUYS!!!

From: Gaz Date: December 2, 2004 at 16:39
Giant III - On first listen i thought it just sounded like left over songs but it really grew on me. Maybe the production isn't quite as good as the other 2 albums which is why these songs don't quite have the wow factor but still a great collection of songs. Giant - Don't Leave us in Love!!!! Do another album and another and another....!! Everything Dann Huff does is amazing. I even listened to Lonestar because he produced it.

From: Geoff Date: February 15, 2005 at 19:51
A great release of wonderful tracks we may never have heard. For me there are quite a few fillers here, I guess needed to complete a full album, but the 4 gems are of outstanding quality. 'You Will Be Mine' is melodic hard rock brilliance - killer riff, massive chorus, 'Over You' is sensational - a commercial gem! 'Don't Leave Me in Love' was beautiful by Spiro, and just as good here. A superb track. And then 'Can't Let Go' might just be my fave Giant track - spine tingling and perfect! Love it.

From: z4roxx Date: February 19, 2005 at 21:03
Well,I must say I had listened this cd too bad in the past,it's indeed superb as the others 2(infact these tracks has been written after their second cd,I think around 1993/94,it's easy to understand this fact from style, sounds and production very close to the first 2).BTW this cd contains many great songs in the same awesome Giant style, the first track is indeed a killer even it's made of an easier tune with a very generic riff similar to other hundred bands. But it's another great cd from Giant

From: Swriter Date: February 20, 2005 at 13:08
where have I been, just picked this up a few months ago, did not even hear about it, well with the first Giant being permantly placed in front of me at all times(hahaha) I was so happy to see this one, not as strong as the first, but I enjoy this one better then Time to Burn, but who's comparing, all Giant is great, fantastic, and wonderful. So good to hear this one, very strong album and welcomed return of this band.

From: Harry Date: March 17, 2005 at 7:42
Far from being their best album, this is still a very good effort. Dan's singing and playing is better than ever and there's a lot of great tracks here. Combustion is a killer guitar solo, You Will Be Mine, The Sky Is The Limit and Oh Yeah are very good rockers, and then there's the beautiful ballads Don't Leave In Love, It's Not The End Of The World and Can't Let Go. I just don't understand why they had to include the cover Doctor, Doctor here - one of the most overrated songs ever IMO. 8/10

From: mauricio Date: October 18, 2005 at 13:44
hi from COSTARICA, solo quiero decir esto que es el mejor album de GIANT sin quitarle el respeto de the last of the runaways pero el III TIENE TEMAZOS y la produccion es de lujo un CHUZO ve a comprarlo yo os lo puedo conseguir en HOLANDA. 10/10 me encanta en especial You Will Be Mine que es la mia .(maujobarksott@costarricense.cr)

From: 80's Hard Rock Date: February 6, 2006 at 14:53
This is the band that hasn't changed its tunes since 1992, this is the same sound they had back then and that's something I LOVE about this band, I hope they release more albums in the future! Any AOR/Hard Rock fan should buy this album!!!

From: JF Date: March 27, 2006 at 19:16

From: JF Date: March 27, 2006 at 19:18

From: ANR Date: March 6, 2007 at 8:59
Well, I'm expected a better album but it's OK anyway. "You Will Be Mine" is simple becoming one of my favourite songs of all time and of course "Don't Leave Me in Love" is a classic too. But the rest is "just" good for me. Which is actually not bad but talkin' about GIANT, you know... 8/10

From: lalorock Date: April 23, 2007 at 13:34
Buen album de Giant, pero a mi parecer el Time to burn es el mejor de ellos, aqui las canciones siguen su estilo similar al de los dos anteriores albumes, osea temas AOR y hard rockeros,me quedo con los temas en plan AOR como son You will be mine(gran comienzo, te deja petrificado!),Don´t leave me in love clásico sonido de ellos y uno de los mejores del album,la balada It´s not the end... excelente, Oh yeah otro temazo, Cán´t let go otra buena balada puro feeling, las demas como que bajan el album

From: Lovedrive Date: June 28, 2007 at 11:58

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: November 1, 2007 at 13:49

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: November 2, 2007 at 3:17
GOOD CD 89/100 GREAT AOR EVEN if i think the originals albums are better ,it's still good and worth buying for any true fan of the band or any AOR FOLLOWER out there buy or.....

From: BIG-TIME Date: May 22, 2008 at 11:16
Good CD not as good as the other 2 but this has a lot of catchy songs and its own style if you have the other 2 buy this and keep an open mind...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: WookieEnthal Date: July 10, 2009 at 3:52
Fantastic disc...hopefully they will give us more in the future. Just a great, great band.

From: schon Date: January 14, 2010 at 19:04

From: edwithmj Date: January 21, 2010 at 18:36
Great album. Dann's voice and playing sound top notch on each track.

From: edwithmj Date: January 23, 2010 at 20:16
My last comment didn't do this justice. After listening to this a bit more I've come to the conclusion that this is their most consistent album. The first album, while being my favourite, had a few filler tracks and the second album was half filler but every track on here is stand out. Dann's voice sounds even better than it's ever been. It's Not The End Of The World is my favourite track with You Will Be Mine, Oh Yeah and I Can't Let Go coming very close behind. They should've released another almost immediately after because this is quality hard rock at its best.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 15, 2010 at 18:52
Greatness a 100% in here!!!...Dan Huff apart from being an extraordinaire guitar player is also a good strong singer...opening track "Combustion" is a great example of how to play guitar with feeling then "You'll Be Mine" is just great,"Over You" follows it nicely "Don't Leave Me In Love"(soft and smooth song with a sing-a-long chorus),"The Sky Is The Limit"(wonderful) and "It's Not The End Of The World"(another goodie)and then to finish the album a great cover of Robert Palmer's song "Bad Case Of Loving You (Doctor Doctor)".Just Buy it 95/100

From: 123charpenay Date: November 7, 2013 at 11:46
fantastic come back from giant.exactly in the same vein than "last of the runaways"."combustion" the opener is the clone of the intro of "i m a believer".only killer songs in the typical giant s style.pleasure guaranted.track 9 "can t let go"is an extraordinary ballad.what a beautiful song.top class a o r.track 10 is a cover of the hit of moon martin.excellent and surprising idea to cover this song.the japan issue is highly recommanded cause there is four bonus tracks live.a wet dream for a o r lovers.

From: hair metal again Date: November 1, 2015 at 10:29
excellent comeback by the very fine GIANT!i m a fan of em since day 1 and i m telling you that i didnt expect that to be so good!my doubts were not about the songwriting and musicianship but about the production and the whole vibe!well well Dan Huff did it again and the production is like GIANT s first 2 releases and especially their debut s and the approach is similar too!"you will be mine","over you" and "can t let go" are great songs and overall a great step for GIANT!buy it without 2nd thoughts

From: titothetitan Date: August 16, 2018 at 14:32
I comeback album always leaves me cold, specially after hearing the horrendous 'Hollywood Trash' by King Kobra. But Giant stays true with their signature sound and delievers an album of top-notch melodic songs and excellent production. I heard that this album actually is a compilation on unreleased material.
