yeah! Now you're talking.I'm hooked...litterally,ever since I layed my hands on this ultra rare AOR gem.And i had to submit it here.Let me get it straight. If you like BLVD, and David Forbes vocals, you gotta try to haunt this album down.Chris Irvine, whoever he might be, has got a voice almost identical to David Forbes. The album itself is a cross between BLVD,Tim Feehan,Go west and Jimmy Martin.A lot of keys, nice guitars, great vocals, memorable melodies. FROOOZEN RIVERSSSS.... / 10/10 |

Chris is from Belfast Northern Ireland. He worked with the same production team that dealt with the band Colorhaus. Chris also happens to be the biggest fan of the eighties duo Go West, and on this album, you hear their influences, as well as the BLVD sound as peterpoland so rightly mentioned. Pretty rare disc, but is hi-tech stuff with a pop/aor sheen. |

Rafo is right here,it’s one of the finest English artists I do have ven if I am not a big fan of singer’s releases.Fantastic keys work, clean and good voice around a very good production. Not a single filler here.I think in the artwork he seams the Italian football player Fabio Cannavaro,or he’s him???ahahahaha |
From: newscandi | Date: October 17, 2006 at 13:59 |
Fabio Cannavaro??? You mean him as he was in Parma, don't you? Anyways, lucky to beat us.. --But however, very surprisingy good album here! 'In need of an angel' (wonderful hi-tech ballad) or 'Really need to know' (interesting & inovative chorus section IMO --But I'm no musician) are two songs of a great set. This album really needs to be reissued |

Well, let´s do it in the new way. Beautiful AOR album and i´m going to remind you what 9 CHAMPIONS A 2 said about this album a few years ago (same comment that was erased . One of the best solo AOR albums and maybe one of the best Lite AOR albums because it has it all! great songs like the astonishing "Frozen Rivers", "Never Listen To Rumors" and "Can You See Me Now"; Chris Irvine´s voice in a David Forbes(BLVD)style; Great musicianship and the sounding of this album... |
From: PODEROSO YIRO | Date: February 3, 2008 at 14:33 |
i would say that goes in the direction of BLVD( beacuse of the voice), GLASS TIGER a little bit, but the biggest influence here is GO WEST. It seems like CHRIS IRVINE is a huuge fan of Peter Cox and Co. and i remember i saw Chris performing GO WEST´s "We Close Our Eyes" in a Australian TV Show i think. Even, Chris Irvine has performed "Frozen Rivers" with his friends from GO WEST in the Background vocals! |

Brilliant album!!!..loved it in its all!!!..AOR with touches of Pop(adult Pop)...if you like Go West, then you will love this release(in fact i agree with Podero Yiro about the so "close" relation between the guys of Go West and the man himself, they seem to be very good friends as Chris has performed in some concerts of the aforementioned band)..."Frozen Rivers" is not very common in a band or artist(unless you are Michael Bolton)to start an album with a ballad but my God,what a ballad!!!,killer in its all sense, definetely the best track of the album and is a...ballad!..other goodies are "Vital Signs" nice one,"Hypnotise" ,"In Need Of An Angel" another power ballad,"Really Need To Know" a highlight,"Can You See Me Now" excellent smooth mid tempo track & "Get A Grip" catchy...wonderful release, get it!.92/100 |
