| This is their BEST CD to-date. It doesn't compare to their S/T release mostly because REV IT UP is comprised of their OWN songs. The first three songs are the best off the CD, I think. If you were, and still are, a fan of the band, check out Share's new project at www.planetbubble.com

| Their best cd by far and still listenable now years later. The songwriting is just outstanding and they do a great job on this album of wlaking that fine line between melody & heaviness. If you need to check out a Vixen album this is the one to get by far!!!

| they wanted to be a female hairband to compete with warrant, poison etc, but they worked closely with Richard Marx who is a pop icon not really a rocker. They had some good songs but they knew they were selling more than music - just look at them!

| Great melodic hard rock made by beautyful girls. What's wrong with this? Also male bands had a stong sexy immage (Poison,Aerosmith,Winger). I am a fan of this girls. Please bring them back together with Precious Metal, Lita Ford, Heart and Lee AAron. I don't know how they look now. Hope they look different from Ann Wilson (I still love her). This album gets a 10 out of ten.

You don't hear me saying 'She's so fat that she has her own gravitational pull.' OR 'To have sex with Ann Wilson you slap her thighs and ride the wave in.' OR 'She's so fat that she has her own zip code.' You shouldn't be so hard on her! It's bad enough that she has 3 chin's (in the back of her neck), she doesn't need you to remind everyone!

Back when this tape first came out I was just getting over a relationship that went bad and was hesitate to date anybody right away. That was until I met a girl and she knew my situation. She then gave me this tape and told me to listen to 'How much love' which got me to melt in her arms!! Needless to say she broke my heart too!! Listen to the song and you'll see why I gave in...those lyrics kick ass!! Needless to say I recently bought the Cd for memory sake!!

| This is 1 of my fave albums...over-produced, polished and everything but man those trax get stuck in your ear...Typical album made for the big bucks but I love it...Done the right way! My fave is STREETS IN PARADISE...reminds me of summertime, cruising down the street with the radio blastin' out loud...

| Love is a killer, and this album is also a killer!!! the songs are even more catchy than the debut and more melodic. Cant find which of the two is my favorite, I like the atmosphere and the energy of their debut but also the melodies and the more popish approach of ''Rev It Up''. Essential!

| One of the greatest albums in rock history....No weak song here.....First album was written outside the band.....here 10 songs was written by the band himself. People often exaggerate with word 'masterpiece' but this is really an huge album. If you ask me to name the band that is representative for hairmetal era i would say VIXEN!!!

Very very good album. I have to agree with the most of you about it (not about the behaviour towards Ann!). This album is within my top 20 of all times'. Only one good song is not on here but on the first one (on the best of is missing It wouldn't be love to make it a real gem of the gems): I WANT YOU TO ROCK ME --that's groovy

| The first 9 tracks kick ass. The last 2 are filler. More mature than their 1st CD. Solidifies them as the best all girl hard rock act and makes them 2nd only to Lita for best chick vocals, clearly better than Precious Metal/Lee Aaron/Girlschool/Rock Goddess/Private Life/Ransom/Arsenal/Madam X etc.... They sound like Blue Tears meets Lee Aaron but if you know who those artists are then you already know who Vixen is. Give it a chance, it is good fun stuff.

| Simply the best album of the greatest Rock'n'Roll band ever !!! Oh and about that selling more than music thing... How can you do that without showing some skin ? These girls were and still are all truly a class act both on and off stage, and they do deserve more credit ! However, it's good to know they can still intimidate so many people, which can only mean one thing... HELL YEAA, THEY ARE THAT DAMN GOOD !!!

| This was more like it! Heavier, much ballsier (?) and much better played. 'How much love' is commercial hard rock bliss, and once again we have an album of great commercial rockers mixed in with a filler or two. Overall, much better than the debut and a good hard rock CD.

| This record will always be among the best of my collection! The song REV IT UP is a hard rock anthem!!! Thatīs how a melodic rock song should sound like. I think Jan Kuehnemund could be a better guitar player. Although the record is packed with great songs i miss the guitar solos! But this is not enough to compromise the record!

| Some great songs on here, Much better than the debut(which wasn't bad). Rev It Up, How Much Love, Only A Heartbeat Away, You Wouldn't Know Love, Hard 16, & and a great ballad- Love Is A Killer. I recommend.

| It took me rather a long time to accept a female vocal on the hard n'heavy scene (except Heart). Actually, I don't know why, maybe I was too young, prejudiced or narrow-minded. How I was wrong! Fortunately, late 80s has changed my mind, also thanks to Vixen. Their arena heavy rock was similar to Lita Ford, Heart or Bon Jovi at that time being. Really nice to listen. 85/100.

| for me this jewel is the best record of a female hard fm band.it s simply a masterpiece with only killer songs.all songs are at a very very high level in quality."love is a killer" is an exceptional song ,a real hit which deserve to be played on radio night and day.the japan import is essential cause the cd is a picture disc and there is two bonus tracks live"edge of a broken heart" and "cruisin".

| A very good album by fine musicians, an album that deserved better I think. When a platinum seller like Jani Lane's Warrant sold 2 million and (acc. to Beau Hill) needed outside help/session musicians, these girls showed they were really competent players and the songs here are excellent. Production/sound is very good too, so I can see why the band was disappointed that Rev it Up did not sell gold etc. Vixen was every bit as good as many other solid bands of that era! The singles How Much Love, Love Is a Killer and Not a Minute Too Soon are all great catchy tracks so perhaps the label did not promote as well as they seemed to do with the debut.

| Not for nothin', but Vixen also had outside songwriting help, at least on their first album, at the label's insistence. What's more of a shame is that, to hear the band tell it, they were originally quite heavy, but were convinced to soften their sound to better fit what people expected or would accept from a bunch of rawker chicks. They were even marketed as "the female Bon Jovi" for a while. Still a decent band, but I would have liked to have heard their true sound.

| Very very good melodic rock album and the ladies play very well. This time a good focused producer that they wanted (not plenty studios like with the debut), and the mix by skilled Mike Shipley is just top notch. Debut sold gold, and this should have done too and then some, it's actually a little bit better. Consistent album throughout but the first four song opening is a perfect start! In 1990, Warrant, Winger, Slaughter, FireHouse all sold millions, and competition was very hard. Listening to them all now, I don't think Vixen was far behind. I think this album is rather genuine. Still a great listen and Jan Kuehnemund was a tasty guitarist, RIP.

| excellent release for VIXEN setting themselves one of the best hair bands with big songs like "how much love","rev it up","love is a killer"!the production is polished and the band achieves a solid commercial hard rock sound with many keys and fine melodic lines and choruses!i consider it a classic of the 90 s hard rock scene
