This is their BEST CD to-date. It doesn't compare to their S/T release mostly because REV IT UP is comprised of their OWN songs. The first three songs are the best off the CD, I think. If you were, and still are, a fan of the band, check out Share's new project at www.planetbubble.com

From: P.C. Date: September 27, 2001 at 14:37
Best female rock band of all time . Best VIXEN CD . All songs rock like a hell . Very melodic very good spirit . I play it every day . If I could turn back time .

From: Seabloom Date: December 27, 2001 at 12:46
This is by far their best record... Song like Not A Minute Too Soon rocks like fuck... I still play this record every know and then....

From: Tony Date: May 27, 2002 at 0:51
Their best cd by far and still listenable now years later. The songwriting is just outstanding and they do a great job on this album of wlaking that fine line between melody & heaviness. If you need to check out a Vixen album this is the one to get by far!!!

From: Desslar Date: May 28, 2002 at 16:16
Enjoyable and catchy, like a heavier Heart, but not really metal. Great for ballads, but it could use a little more rocking a la Smashed Gladys.

From: Kim Date: July 11, 2002 at 15:47
........Uhh I hated this band. Should I give it another try.??

From: booper71 Date: July 15, 2002 at 3:43
they wanted to be a female hairband to compete with warrant, poison etc, but they worked closely with Richard Marx who is a pop icon not really a rocker. They had some good songs but they knew they were selling more than music - just look at them!

From: Federico Date: July 15, 2002 at 14:44
Great melodic hard rock made by beautyful girls. What's wrong with this? Also male bands had a stong sexy immage (Poison,Aerosmith,Winger). I am a fan of this girls. Please bring them back together with Precious Metal, Lita Ford, Heart and Lee AAron. I don't know how they look now. Hope they look different from Ann Wilson (I still love her). This album gets a 10 out of ten.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: July 15, 2002 at 18:15
Federico, That wasn't very nice the way you cut Ann down like that! So what if she is as wide as she is tall, you don't have to tell everyone. You don't hear me saying 'She's so fat that she has her own gravitational pull.' OR 'To have sex with Ann Wilson you slap her thighs and ride the wave in.' OR 'She's so fat that she has her own zip code.' You shouldn't be so hard on her! It's bad enough that she has 3 chin's (in the back of her neck), she doesn't need you to remind everyone!

From: Reno Date: July 16, 2002 at 2:06
When she sits around the house, she really sits AROUND the house. To have sex with her, you'd have to file through the layers of fat until you find shit and then back up one layer. Damn jason...you're mean tonight.

From: Federico Date: July 16, 2002 at 9:52
AAAhhaa, very funny Jason and Reno. However reminding the time Ann was fucking sexy, I still remember her big tits in in that videos (Never and What about love), I will make her. Like Paul and Gene say the bigger the cushion the better the pushing. It don't mean spit to me. This time is maybe too much bigger but Who cares?

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: July 16, 2002 at 17:42
Reno, I'm not the one that is being mean. I was just telling Federico not to be so hard on Ann Wilson. He shouldn't say things like 'she's so fat that you can't tell where the tits end and her gut begins.' OR 'When she's on a street corner, cops come by and say HEY, BREAK IT UP!'

From: Zenari Date: September 29, 2002 at 14:03
PERFECT!! THIS is my sound! One of the best AOR/HardRock pieces ever.

From: Metal_Ed Date: December 28, 2002 at 6:28
Back when this tape first came out I was just getting over a relationship that went bad and was hesitate to date anybody right away. That was until I met a girl and she knew my situation. She then gave me this tape and told me to listen to 'How much love' which got me to melt in her arms!! Needless to say she broke my heart too!! Listen to the song and you'll see why I gave in...those lyrics kick ass!! Needless to say I recently bought the Cd for memory sake!!

From: Scandinavia Date: December 30, 2002 at 22:39
This is 1 of my fave albums...over-produced, polished and everything but man those trax get stuck in your ear...Typical album made for the big bucks but I love it...Done the right way! My fave is STREETS IN PARADISE...reminds me of summertime, cruising down the street with the radio blastin' out loud...

From: b casarin MEX Date: December 31, 2002 at 1:13
this is one of my all time best aor female albums: 1.- saraya - saraya 10/10 2.- quaterflash -back into blue 9.8/10 3.- vixen -rev it up 9.6/10 4.- heart -1985 9.4/10

From: manos Date: February 14, 2003 at 22:11
Love is a killer, and this album is also a killer!!! the songs are even more catchy than the debut and more melodic. Cant find which of the two is my favorite, I like the atmosphere and the energy of their debut but also the melodies and the more popish approach of ''Rev It Up''. Essential!

From: vandervelde Date: July 18, 2003 at 18:24
One of the greatest albums in rock history....No weak song here.....First album was written outside the band.....here 10 songs was written by the band himself. People often exaggerate with word 'masterpiece' but this is really an huge album. If you ask me to name the band that is representative for hairmetal era i would say VIXEN!!!

From: Scandinavia Date: September 18, 2003 at 17:46
One of few albums which really moves me emotionally...It's the nostalgia I think...I've got so many memories connected to this album...100/10...Hahaha

From: Scandi Date: September 25, 2003 at 20:41
Very very good album. I have to agree with the most of you about it (not about the behaviour towards Ann!). This album is within my top 20 of all times'. Only one good song is not on here but on the first one (on the best of is missing It wouldn't be love to make it a real gem of the gems): I WANT YOU TO ROCK ME --that's groovy

From: Alejandro Date: December 4, 2003 at 17:25
If someone has idea what is the e-mail of the drummer of this band, Roxy Petrucci, send it to me please. My e-mail is alejandropc29@hotmail.com

From: jason (FA-Q) Date: December 4, 2003 at 23:19
Did any of you guys want to bang Janet Gardner? That chick was sooooooooo fuckin' hot back then. I wonder how that tight little ass is lookin' these days?

From: cool rick Date: December 26, 2003 at 19:34
fucking hell vixen were hot in the 80s and i get an erection just saying their names fuck me janet gardner and co arock on dudes

From: Impaler Date: February 22, 2004 at 20:17
The first 9 tracks kick ass. The last 2 are filler. More mature than their 1st CD. Solidifies them as the best all girl hard rock act and makes them 2nd only to Lita for best chick vocals, clearly better than Precious Metal/Lee Aaron/Girlschool/Rock Goddess/Private Life/Ransom/Arsenal/Madam X etc.... They sound like Blue Tears meets Lee Aaron but if you know who those artists are then you already know who Vixen is. Give it a chance, it is good fun stuff.

From: MadTurk Date: July 27, 2004 at 17:50
Simply the best album of the greatest Rock'n'Roll band ever !!! Oh and about that selling more than music thing... How can you do that without showing some skin ? These girls were and still are all truly a class act both on and off stage, and they do deserve more credit ! However, it's good to know they can still intimidate so many people, which can only mean one thing... HELL YEAA, THEY ARE THAT DAMN GOOD !!!

From: Uusiolli Date: August 5, 2004 at 21:13
Better than their debut. Rockier, at least somewhere, but still too soft. I like women to be soft, but music hard. In Vixen's case it was kinda vice versa.

From: Geoff Date: August 26, 2004 at 7:49
This was more like it! Heavier, much ballsier (?) and much better played. 'How much love' is commercial hard rock bliss, and once again we have an album of great commercial rockers mixed in with a filler or two. Overall, much better than the debut and a good hard rock CD.

From: SUNSET STRIPPER Date: September 22, 2004 at 11:00
KILLLLERR BAND!!!! THE BEST FEMALE ROCK BAND!!! KICK ASS - PURE SUNSET STRIP EARLY 90S STYLE! GREAT TO EXCELENT ALBUM..TRY: REV IT UP / AND A BAND CALLED SARAYA! ANOTHER GREAT BAND BUT NOT LIKE VIXEN! LOVE IS A KILLER IS MY FAVORITE SONG, FROM THIS ALBUM CHECK ALSO: REV IT UP, HOW MUCH LOVE, NOT A MINUTE TOO SOON AND HARD 16. I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I SAW VIXEN ON MTV WAS THE PREMIERE OF 'LOVE MADE ME' - A KILLLERR PROMO!!! GREAT BAND DUDE!!!

From: Carmine Rose Date: October 10, 2004 at 9:15
Equally as good as the debut. The babes are just as hot here, and the music is excellent.

From: Carmine Rose Date: October 25, 2004 at 14:35
Hey, Roxy was in another band after Vixen broke up. They were called Hell's Belles. Does anyone know if they ever recorded anything?

From: Axe Machine Date: November 28, 2004 at 16:04
Better songs and better production than the debut album. By far Vixens best effort, and with women as good looking as these, who can blame them for selling a few records! The best female album, from the best female rock band. Essential.

From: Gabriel Alves Date: January 11, 2005 at 2:23
This record will always be among the best of my collection! The song REV IT UP is a hard rock anthem!!! Thatīs how a melodic rock song should sound like. I think Jan Kuehnemund could be a better guitar player. Although the record is packed with great songs i miss the guitar solos! But this is not enough to compromise the record!

From: jakki steal Date: April 12, 2005 at 18:46
'bad reputation' Is a killer song. reminds me of myself because it sounds slutty. vixen can rock with the best of them motley crue, poison, faster pussycat.vixen really knows how to party and rock and you can really hear it in the music!

From: edwithmj Date: February 20, 2011 at 19:53
Much better than the debut. My favourites are Not a Minute Too Soon, How Much Love and Fallen Hero. They should've released a follow up immediately after.

From: rockhardrock Date: April 16, 2011 at 6:39
I have heard only 2 albums by this female oriented band and this one wins over their debut. my faves here: love is a killer, how much love, rev it up, not a minute too soon, hard 16 and fallen hero. great pop metal album.

From: the rocker Date: January 4, 2012 at 20:57
Some great songs on here, Much better than the debut(which wasn't bad). Rev It Up, How Much Love, Only A Heartbeat Away, You Wouldn't Know Love, Hard 16, & and a great ballad- Love Is A Killer. I recommend.

From: Ydol eM Date: August 8, 2013 at 18:28
It took me rather a long time to accept a female vocal on the hard n'heavy scene (except Heart). Actually, I don't know why, maybe I was too young, prejudiced or narrow-minded. How I was wrong! Fortunately, late 80s has changed my mind, also thanks to Vixen. Their arena heavy rock was similar to Lita Ford, Heart or Bon Jovi at that time being. Really nice to listen. 85/100.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 23, 2018 at 13:38
for me this jewel is the best record of a female hard fm band.it s simply a masterpiece with only killer songs.all songs are at a very very high level in quality."love is a killer" is an exceptional song ,a real hit which deserve to be played on radio night and day.the japan import is essential cause the cd is a picture disc and there is two bonus tracks live"edge of a broken heart" and "cruisin".
