This album is a perfect example of excelent Hard Rock works of 80's. Perfect sound, melody and brilliant voice of David Coverdale makes this album one of the best. I wish if they could keep a same trdition of sound. And thank you guys for this site. With my respects. Norik. L.A.

I'm with you on that one, I just forgot how good it was. I wore out the cassette in my car about 10 years ago. I'll have to find it again, it really blows away the commercial stuff, especially when it comes to feel. I remember thinking what a pile of crap the Vai stuff was when it came out. They destroyed Fool For Your Loving.

Ok. This is it. Songwise the best record Whitesnake ever made. Ok, the band is still alive, but it is NOT the same band anymore. Still a good band though. This is my Whitesnake, the way I like it. Bluesy, cocky and rocky. With Come an' Get It records production this would be 10. Now only 9.

I still, 24 years later, crank this one. The group came into perfection with this one. Heavy and bluesy, chopped my head off and kicked it down the gutter. I rest my case.

This album contains Coverdale's best lyrics Ever. I'm talking about Blindman... Hey, he CAN write for something other wxcept women sex and rock n roll!!! Ultimate Classic 100/10

Not sure it gets much bluesier than this, especially when Coverdale proclaims himself as a "Hoochie-Koochie man on track #7, "Love Man". Still nice to hear the early version of "Fool for your Lovin'" in it's raw glory. Whitesnake were by now coiled up snugly into the blues rock scene searching for an edge to make them extraordinary.

ANOTHER EXCELENT ALBUM. THIS FOOL FOR YOUR LOVING VERSION IS MORE HARD-ROCK THAN THE SLIP OF THE TONGUE VERSION, SWEET TALKER THAT KILLER RIFFS FROM MOODY-MARSDEN,READY AND WILLING IS GOOD,CARRY YOUR LOAD AMAZING PURPLE SOUND,THE DARKER BALLAD BLIND MAN RULES,ONE OF MY FAV'S AIN'T GONNA CRY NO MORE THAT SLIDE GUITARS AND ACOUSTICS GREAT,LOVE MAN GREAT TUNE,BLACK AND BLUE LET'S GET DRUNK WITH THE SNAKES,SHE'S A WOMEN PERFECT FINISH TO THIS ALBUM. LONG LIVE WHITESNAKE. LONG LIVE HARD-AOR.

For me this is easily Whitesnake's best album from their early years before they went the commercial route. All the songs are fantastic and it's one of the few discs I could leave in my cd player on a permanent basis.
