2025 Heavy Harmonies Donation Drive Update
Nov. 24, 2025: Almost half way through the annual donation drive and we're
at almost 50% of the goal of covering site expenses for 2026. Most regulars
have already donated, so now it's up to everyone else. Costs
are up this year, no thanks to an unexpected forum move, which incurred additional expenses.
The drive will run through the end of the year, details over on the Heavy Harmonies Forum.
Every donation helps, no matter how small. If you can't afford $20 for the
year, give $10. If you can't afford $10, give $5. It's just once a year and
keeps the lights on.

| Decent Pop Rock album, "Desparate & Strange Animal" the best tracks "A Criminal Mind" mmm yes ok, the rest... not for me, 65/100.

Exactly Rafo!!!..Pop/Rock with some touches of Hi-Tech AOR...best songs for me were the catchy ones "Cosmetics","Desperate" & "Strange Animal" plus the nice ones "City Of The Angels" & "Burning Torches Of Hopes"...enjoyable...83/100

| Really different kind of pop. Apparently Gowan was quite successful in his native Canada. There are some proggish elements to this sound, a bit of pomp and AOR. Not much guitar. Strangely, the two standout tracks are at the back end of the album: Strange Animal and A Criminal Mind. Well, it is a fairly unique album, especially if you like more challenging pop music like Peter Gabriel. C+.
