Years ago I purchased this CD just from the bands appearance on the cover, never heard a tune. After years of listening, I'm very glad I made the buy. One of the most underrated and deserving bands of the early 90's. Very good blues based rock 'n roll.

Good bluesy rock with Black Crowes style vocals. Songs are consistantly strong throughout. REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin guests on a couple of tracks. Solid release well worth checking out.

I think the singer sounds more like Johnny Gioeli (Hardline) or Steve Lee (Gotthard). Music is not too far off either...a little more bluesier sound.

Very good bluesy 80's rock feel. I need it Bad is a stellar tune. Worth the price of admission to this cd alone. The entire cd is not as good though. I would have loved to have heard the second cd if they would have made one. They seemed to only be warming up.

TOTALLY worth more than the $2.28 I paid for it on eBay. This cd has such a mixture of sounds and I really like the tune "Carry Me" and "Rosie Jones" has a real nice bluesy sound I like. Overall, it is a very nice realese, one of my fav's, so far.

Wow, I'm amazed at the good reviews here. Obviously doing something I missed. To me, this was very boring and dreary bluesy rock. Not awful, I guess, just did absolutely nothing for me at all. Very ordinary. 2.5/10

pretty good debut for SOUL KITCHEN with an excellent production and a nice guitar driven bluesy hard rock sound that reminds me of COMPANY OF WOLVES but without their strong hooks!there a fine laid back vibe all over but the songs & the choruses arent that strong and i cant find any big songs that could do something commercially and as a result this fine act disbanded without any buzz!"one way ticket man",'carry","backdoor heaven " and "rosie jones" are the highlights!good stuff
