Déjà vu... Smashed Gladys vs. Slammin' Gladys. This sounds like a incestual hair band relationship. Who's the slammed and who's the slam-ee? Since Slammin' Gladys debut came out in (1992) and Smashed Gladys indie debut came out in (1985) that would give them the upper hand on originality for a band name. Slammin' Gladys released a song called 'Silicone Sally' on their (1992) debut. Coincidence, or a secret slamm? Singer Sally Cato died 4 years, so this album being released in (2022) is a collection of mostly older unreleased songs. Smashed Gladys were rubbing shoulders with other New York bands in the 80's era: Warrior Soul, Circus of Power, Princess Pang, and Cycle Sluts from Hell. Sally appeared in Motley Crue’s "Too Young To Fall In Love" video, i.e. the one where they do Kung Fu and Tommy "CHOP STIX" Lee eats rice. Ace Frehley was a fan and would jam with the band on stage playing Rip It Up or Cold Gin. https://sleazeroxx.com/r-i-p-smashed-gladys-lead-vocalist-sally-cato/
