Have only had this one for a week, but it is growing on me with every spin. After the recent spate of pretty average Scandie releases, this one definately ups the odds somewhat. The vocals take a bit of getting into, but musically wise this has all things present and correct with special note for some excellent song arrangements (with some terrific Keyboards in the mix) & a very nice warm rounded production. If 80'S AOR/Pomp is your thing, then this one comes very highly recommended from me.

From: AOR freaky Date: July 23, 2005 at 4:43
I can't be that enthusiastic about this release ! Musically, everything is fine, but the singer is very, very weak !!! And for an AOR act, the singer is crucial. Search another singer immediately, guys ! And dear Jez, pomp ? ! I don't hear it. O.K., lots of keys, but not pomp IMO. Decent but not spectacular and there are lots of better CD's out at the moment !

There is definately a Pomp edge to the arrangements to some of the songs on this.

From: Wotty Date: August 19, 2005 at 15:47
This is a comfortable slice of A.O.R.tinged with a bit of pomp, though not enough for people to criticise.Well put together and has a good sound, but unlike others,I have no misgivings over the vocalist.

Now on this one i totally agree ( as almost each time ) with Jezz. This album growns and growns on me with every spin. Be ordering the offical cd next week. Just have cdr now. Man this album is good. Way better then Northern Light or Sha Boom ( two scandi releases i also really liked tho). 8,6/10

From: AOR freaky Date: September 9, 2005 at 10:08
This very good ? Don't think so. Did the people who think this is very good, listen to the awful singer ! ? Boy, I repeat, the music is fine, but the singer is too bad for words ! The worst singer I've ever heard on an AOR album. Better than Northern Light, with lots of great singers ? Erik, you must be joking, my friend !

Think you wasting your breath again Freak - no one is listening. You seem to be in the minority (again) with this one as it is getting good, solid reviews in most places. As I said above, the vocals do take a bit of time, but certainly aren't as bad you are making out.

From: AOR freaky Date: September 10, 2005 at 5:00
At least you listened, Jez !! Ha ! Ha ! Solid reviews, don't think so, my friend. Or are you living on another planet (yeah, that's the explanation for your weird reactions ! HA ! HA !) ? Music is good, singer is awful !

Try Melodicrock.com, Rock Report, and a stunning review in Fireworks magazine for starters or can't you read English properly????

From: Erik Date: September 10, 2005 at 10:08
Freak you are sad. Just like your name. Well choosen indeed.

From: TIM (2) Date: September 30, 2005 at 7:01
Very similar to the House of Mirrors disc (but a little better IMO), this is classy pure AOR with some definite Pomp elements. Love the use of keys on this disc. It does sound a little thin, but - like the Greenhouze & House of Mirrors before it - that's just because the keys & guitar are higher in the mix than the rhythm section. "Anyone with a Broken Heart" is just awesome, but it's only really towards the end that this falls a little flat. Recommended. 8/10.

From: Delbert Date: October 11, 2005 at 20:24
Well, I picked up the Jap pressing on recommendation of a friend and have been listening to it constantly for about a month now. I have to say, this is one of the finest pieces released this year. It's hard to find good AOR (definitely radio ready sound) being released consistently of this quality. I love the tasty keys and just the right level of guitar in the mix. Vocals....hey, this singer has a quality that is unique and with the excellent harmonies, works to his advantage. A 9.0...

From: AOR freaky Date: October 14, 2005 at 3:20
Erik, you are mad, man. The singer on this platter sucks big time. Replace the poor guy !

From: Erik Date: October 14, 2005 at 11:14
Totally with you Delbert. A real grower this one. And the singer absolutely fits the music. Like staed before a 8,6/10 for me

This cd is a true gem to AOR fans like myself, the best AOR cd from last year acording to me. Keep up with the good work! A clear 10!

From: vandervelde Date: January 25, 2006 at 12:33
One of the best records of 2005 for sure...i agree that vocalist isn't their best asset but music here is just superb so much 80s, so full of hooks and melodies that you can easily take this band as a 80s band...best keys job in a long time...Anywhere With A Broekn Heart is my fave here, just listen to the opening hook ..wow!

From: patiscat Date: March 12, 2006 at 13:45
Very good CD !! I love it!! including the vocals :-)

From: lalorock Date: August 20, 2006 at 16:48
Fantastico album con canciones que rayan en melodías y ganchos guitarreros, empezando ya sabes de que va la cosa secrets of the night espectacular, i´ve been loving you llena de melodías y guitarras envolventes, road to freedom otro excelente tema con esas guitarras que te dejan asombrado, running wild... otro con esos coros maravillosos, mi favorita y una de las mejores canciones que he escuchado de aor anyone with a broken heart excelente!, las siguientes todas todas son excelentes sin rellenos

Have you heard that Prayer is coming out with a new cd probably before christmas? The cd:s name is: Get What We Came For, you can also listen to sound clips on melodicrock.com!

From: aTomiK Date: August 30, 2007 at 14:06
This is great aor album! You can hear that Tapani (the only songwriter) has listened classic 80´s aor albums a lot. Can´t believe that this band is from Oulu, Finland (just 200 km north where i live). Now, what happened with that 2nd cd?

From: johnk5150 Date: November 12, 2007 at 18:36
AOR Freaky is high on this gem. His voice is perfect for the material. Songs like Running Wild In The Night and End Of Time are instant AOR classics. Freaky, every band can't and doesn't want to sound like Journey or Valentine, but that doesn't make it bad. It makes it different. Variety in AOR has been sorely lacking in this genre and I welcome this new sound.

From: miguel400 Date: March 28, 2008 at 15:12
Was a surprise for me when heard about this about year and half ago. Singer used to have a band called "Tanna" in the 80s if I am not mistaken.. Not the best singer but pretty good songs and OK production too.. and yep I am from Oulu, Finland where this band is coming I guess -miguel-

From: barker Date: November 30, 2008 at 15:02
Brilliant AOR - vocals are OK to me - best keyboards I have heard in a long time - great songs - where is the second album please ?

From: z4roxx Date: August 9, 2009 at 11:06

From: erik Date: August 9, 2009 at 16:03
Grazi Andrea . Btw check out ARFM. Pretty good online radio station. Just heard them play Red Dawn, Red Fun, Skagarack so that aint bad for starters

From: happy2849 Date: November 10, 2010 at 15:49
Have to agree with both sides a little. This is some great melodic rock/AOE that a lot of collectors like. The only draw back is the lead singer. While he is not that bad, it could have been a lot better!

From: 123charpenay Date: March 23, 2012 at 11:46
ok the singer is not the best of the world.ok in the finnish bands it is an habit singers generally have not a fabulous voice.here he is decent not awful.musically this record is excellent a perfect mix between keyboards and guitars.a hard f m record with a very hight level!!!the japan import is recommanded cause the bonus track is beautiful.

From: Hair metal hero Date: May 27, 2012 at 16:47
