This album is actually sleaze metal. It is considerabely harder than the 2nd album. If you lean toward the harder stuff- this album is for you. They are kind of like Sledgehammer Ledge or Skitzotik as far as aggressiveness and attitude are concerned. The 2nd album is less aggressive and shows more glam elements.

I love this record. I say record because thats what I have and I am looking for the cd. I did find some of the songs on audiogalaxy. It takes me back to Detroit and when I used to go see them play at Harpos. Its good metal.

From: Tommy Date: June 20, 2002 at 8:58
Chuck Burns (now in Speedball) has re-released the first Seduce record on CD. I've seen it in various indie record stores in and around Detroit, most recently at Rock of Ages in Garden City.

From: WEB Date: September 6, 2002 at 7:53
Great show at the Emerald..Even Deroits own Darren Macarty JAmmed on stage to the ACE OF SPADES. STill one of the greatest to come out of Detroit...Since I am not bias with an attitude like the other response. Peace and Love

I sense a little jealousy there from Mikey. The show was awesome, especially with Darren McCarty there with the Stanley Cup. HI to Wren and Richard!

From: DJ Date: October 11, 2002 at 15:14
Seduce?? Reunion show?? Damn, sucks living in Cali. HUGE!! HUGE!! Seduce fan here, would of given Mikey's left nut to see them, but, first guess Mikey would have to have nuts. Love this band, Anyone happen to have any video of them???

From: Date: October 22, 2002 at 12:05

From: Metal T Date: June 22, 2003 at 19:18
This is a killer dose of great 80's metal.Seduce kick some major tail on the song "Viper's Bite" and that vibe continues throughout the rest of this album.Comparable to their "Too Much Ain't Enough"disc, but quite heavier. This is yet another rare, underrated gem

From: kharma to burn Date: September 14, 2003 at 21:27
...too bad they steal logos and pictures from people they call pals. remember that edweird guy? yeah, the guy who actually drew the logo but his name is not on the album or the re-issued cd. the seduce boys are not very nice and as far as music they are great but they are terrible human beings. maybe that's why they never made it out of that shit hole detroit!

From: timpop Date: September 29, 2003 at 14:59
Not sure on the stealing logo's deal...But, I do know Chuck Burns and recently met David Black and I can honestly say they are great guys..and I met Mark Andrews years ago when I was a kid and he was awesome too...

From: SeducedByMetal Date: November 10, 2003 at 7:14
hey DJ..u oughta be be a mass seduce fan living in australia..it really sux...knowing u got no chance ever to see em...also knowing they will never come out here...

From: ChaosAD Date: December 14, 2003 at 4:05
I know David Black, and I always liked the band, before I got to know him. They were really good, and fairly ahead of their time by the second one. Anyone who says otherwise is just being a jerk.

From: Rene Date: December 14, 2003 at 8:28
Does anybody remember SEDUCE on the vhs video tape THE METAL YEARS, THE DECLINE OF... together with LIZZY BORDEN, ODIN, MEGADETH and more bands like one of my favorites LONDON????

From: Metal T Date: December 15, 2003 at 20:55
Yes,i remember it well, that flick had "Lizzy Borden" and "Seduce" in it.Two of the most underrated bands in metal. It also had "Odin", "London","Megadeth" etc as you said.I enjoyed "Metal Years" but, unfortunately the girl who made this documentery cut corners on the project and alot of the piece really makes a parody of the 80's metal scene. For example, the interviews with the everyday common losers making stupid comments tend to ruin it."Seduce" should of hit it big, they were one the better band

From: tomcat Date: December 26, 2003 at 23:20
still got it on vinyl, remember playing the hell out of songs like 'choppin' block (with that cool intro) and the melodic tune 'face to face'. excellent us metal

From: frazao Date: December 27, 2003 at 18:22
sou brasileiro e gosto muito desta banda! porra não consigo achar ums mp3 nem no Kazza é foda!

From: Blackstar Date: January 11, 2004 at 4:32
Good news here for you other Seduce fans. Check out www.motorcityrock.com It features tons of free MP3's as well as video. A great website all the way around. Enjoy.

Hey,anyone have any SEDUCE lyrics lying around? rockerrowan@sbcglobal.net

From: Lyndon Kidz Date: February 9, 2004 at 14:14
1st off Seduce invented BIG hair!I have no doubt about that.Carolyn! you out there? Man we had some fun! Thanks for always being kind to me! Only people from the HOOD really understood the band. David was always cool to everyone I've ever talked too about their band. Monica, Chris, Martine, Brett(My Boy),Janine,Patrick,Bojo, Eric, Matt, Jimmy C, Sam, James,Kelly,Gabby,Santoni. And?YOU GUYS ROCK! I love you and miss you!! David&Chris thanks for teaching me the GUITAR. Anyone remember Crystal's!

From: Lyndon Kidz Date: February 9, 2004 at 14:34
Sorry!I forgot HUFF!Dude, you had the chops too! David, if you're out there, DUDE, drop a line: tmunn@street2nerz.com Anyone who was an original fan, drop some words off. Those Daze were the BEST.Detroit should be very, very happy on having such a great band to entertain them, I mean other than Sevendust, and a handful of others, the talent pool has shrunk to desperate levels these dayzzz Solos are forbiden anymore, for the simple fact that most guys couldn't play one to save their lives.

From: msujibboo Date: February 20, 2004 at 0:30
Do any of you Detroit 80's glam fiends out there remember The Almighty Strut? Are their any recordings?

From: msujibboo Date: February 20, 2004 at 0:37
I'll never forget all those Seduce shows at Harpo's. I have 2 shows on cassette, actually. I think I have a video from Blondies, maybe, too. Any interest? I'd have to dig them out, and convert them. Damn, how many steps did these guys downtune their guitars?! It sounds like the strings are DRIPPING off the neck!! I remember watching Dave's left hand, always with that LONG middle finger with black nail polish sticking straight up as he barred his chords.

From: daniel arg- Date: April 12, 2004 at 0:02
alguien sabe como se llama el tema que aparece creo yo en la pelicula the decline of western civilization de seduce

From: Chris Date: May 13, 2004 at 16:03

From: JULIO CESAR Date: July 7, 2004 at 21:44
BUENO ESTE ALBUN UNO DE LOS BUENISIMOS QUE HAYA EXISTIDO DENTRO DE LA ESCENA DEL METAL SEDUCE ES UNA BANDA UNICA EN EL MUNDO.HOY EN DIA NO HAY NINGUNA BANDA QUE QUE SUENE ASI EL QUE TENGA ESTE DISCO ES UN VERDADERO METATALERO QUE EL METAL EXISTA POR SIEMPRE DE AQUI ALA ETERNIDAD......LONG LIVE SLAM METAL......

msujibboo: I remember The Almighty Strut, I have records of them. Write me: jk_803@hotmail.com

From: Rene Date: January 14, 2005 at 15:47
Very good album in my opinion, specialy the song THE MIRROR. What a great power ballad with balls. Very good. Fans of glam metal will love this album.

From: ratt Date: February 10, 2005 at 9:44
with out micky st claire playing drums they were boreing, very cool band but when mickey ,who taught chuck how to play drums, they were special, the times were special, bu tmickey that guy was a show all himself, playing drums like j, bonham of zep, running around the bar naked, peeing in everyones beer, i might have made that up, but that was the cool seduce, long live mickey, that would be the real seduce gathering to have that guy back fo ra show, as well as chuck, detroit

From: poser disposer Date: March 1, 2006 at 6:19
yo detroiters... i remember them. and hi to edward... i am a seduce fan but i know you designed those guitars for pellerito and i know you designed the logo on the cover of the debut too... it's too bad they have good music and terrible morals... mark andrews, dave black and chuck burns from seduce you need to say your sorry and give (http://www.edwardprzydzial.com) credit for his artwork and designs or i will be forced to miss all future shows... trust me i will ask others to boycott seduce as

From: poser disposer Date: March 1, 2006 at 6:27
...go buy the sister morphine debut cd it has a message printed in the credits directed to all 3 members of seduce and it's pretty troubling...

From: 7Sinner Date: July 30, 2006 at 15:22
Decent stuff but nothing earthshaking. You can download all their music for free at http://www.motorcityrock.com/bands/seduce/seduce_discography.html.....Hard to beat at that price...

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 3, 2006 at 19:38
Si supieras todo lo que puedes encontrar de esta banda en motorcityrock mucha musica demos covers temas en vivo videos aunque no sea de gran calidad pero vale la pena para pasar un buen rato, entra y disfruta, bueno boys portense bien

From: shoemaker Date: February 10, 2008 at 9:43
Good band, but this is a bit raw.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 1, 2011 at 19:09
Wow!!!...i have this on vinyl ...well this is quite a pleasant album IMHO..."Viper's Bite","Streets","Chopping Block" & "Headbangers" are the best cuts for me...enjoyable but their next album is a bit better(well both ones are of similar characteristics to be honest)....let's leave it with "enjoyable"...84/100
