Roxy Blue's 'Want Some' is fantastic! A unique sound and my favorite CD. Unfortunately, they aren't as well known as they deserve to be. They rock and roll harder & better than the majority of bands on the airwaves! Get the word out!!!!!!!!!!

From: Jon Date: March 13, 2001 at 23:55
Find this album and buy it! It's a swift kick in the ass that you will feel for a week. If I could only have 10 cds in my collection I would keep this one. A good 9.9

From: scott b. Date: March 21, 2001 at 14:49
ROXY BLUE coulda ruled the earth..damn good rock and roll

From: Nick Dagger Date: April 6, 2001 at 16:37
Great rock and the richard the third (bird) on the cover has got a great bottle and glass (ass)!!

From: jeff ( Buffalo) Date: October 23, 2001 at 20:49
UMMMMMMM S-M-O-K-I-N!!!!!! This rocks hard, great licks and vocals. Again to bad grunge screwed it all up!!!

From: Dragonfly Date: December 16, 2001 at 19:26
A great rock release thats right there with Hardline,Steelheart,DangerDanger & Lynch Mob. Hard rockin' and melodic from a band that trys hard and that big shot music label like to throw away for bands that have not even half of the talent.

From: Federico T Date: January 17, 2002 at 11:52
Very good album. If you like Heaven's Edge,Wild Side and Warrant don't miss this one. The songwriting is strong and the singer real good. If they came out three years before they could conquer the America's chart. This one is comparable to the first Skid Row or the second Winger. Where are they now?

From: cquicmoi Date: February 2, 2002 at 22:23
This CD rocks. They invented absolutely nothing and sometimes the licks aand riffs sounds like Eddie Van Halen's best guitar playing. The songs are catchy and it is flat-out rock and roll. It is actually too bad these guys never had the chance to release a seond album. The cover is excellent and so is the CD. I strongly suggest that you buy it if you find it. You might find it with another art cover. It is because the first cover's been banned...'cuz it was too hot to handle...or so they say!!

From: Tony Date: April 11, 2002 at 4:05
C'mon man this album is just great stupid fun. I admire these guys for not even trying to hide the Van Halen influences. If released 4 years earlier these guys would be in mansions right now. The question I have is how can a guitarist as great as this guy was just fall off the edge of the earth?? Any musician this gifted shouldn't be selling insurance or whatever he might be doing now.

From: Desslar Date: April 11, 2002 at 11:39
Fun, with some good ballads. The fast songs need a little work though.

From: Motley Date: May 27, 2002 at 17:31
I have this one on cd but with a total different cover showing the band jumping... Great rnr party cd I agree!!!

From: RichieRocker Date: June 27, 2002 at 22:49
These guys are pretty good. They impressed me with the great drums and guitars. The vocals were solid, and I would definatly try and get this on CD. Oh Yeah awesome album cover, it rocks.

From: aaron Date: June 28, 2002 at 23:33
these guys rock. i recently found out that scotty t has a new band that is coming out soon.

From: koogles Date: July 3, 2002 at 20:47
Mindless fun. 'Too Hot to Handle' is total Warrant. Good production and a better version of 'Squeeze Box' than you'll find on Poison's latest.

From: Chris B Date: July 16, 2002 at 13:09
want some is One of the best albums ever made. Guitar solo's are absolutly quality. ROCK ON !!!

From: STEVE S. Date: July 22, 2002 at 19:40
IT`S A GREAT ALBUM . I AGREE THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN BIGGER. TOO BAD IT`S THE ONLY ALBUM. AFTER HEARING THIS ONE FOR THE FIRST TIME I BAGAN TO SEARCH FOR MORE OF THEIR MUSIC

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: July 28, 2002 at 12:32
El tipico disco de Hard Rock que no soporto, medios tiempos de guitarras densas, exentas de melodia y ritmo,ni siquiera los estribillos son pegadizos.NO ME GUSTA.

From: JackAlack Date: August 7, 2002 at 9:47
I saw these guys in 1993...Really good band...it's a shame what happened to the music scene back then...things changed on dime...almost over night. Now rap is mainstream...I don't even turn on the radio anymore.

From: nitrodoll Date: August 7, 2002 at 18:14
isn't their some sort of connection between roxy blue and disturbance, another great act with only one album.? nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com

From: memphocat Date: August 13, 2002 at 14:11
i have an inside track on the band. do you think it help to have a home page set up? e-mail me with questions or comments at memphocat@aol.com. p.s. scotty does have a new band with cd to be released soon!

From: tonikki Date: August 17, 2002 at 17:15
the best onerecordhairband(with raquel).this album is a perfect combination of most of the greatest hair bands.one song is pure tesla.other is pure skid row, other pure warrant, other steelheart....why life is so unjustice.

From: Gar Date: August 20, 2002 at 22:50
I agree with all the other posts. Roxy Blue were miles ahead of most of the hair bands. Not a bad song on the disc. Highly recommended.

One of the best rock bands i've ever heard, with awesome CD

From: RichieRocker Date: September 19, 2002 at 20:22
The guitar player is heavily influenced bye Eddie Van Halen! He knows how to jam and This band can really kick ass.

From: HOTROD Date: October 14, 2002 at 2:43
Fun, catchy, and well played tunes. No doubt about the VH influence. Me and my brother wore this album out after it was released. Great times!!

From: Connaisseur Date: October 15, 2002 at 14:40
typical American meaningless fastfood rock. A waste of time and money...

Thank you all for remembering this album 10 years after his edition. It's a really special record.(9 champions vuelve a escucharlo, es uno de los mejores discos de Hard Rock americano que se han hecho)

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: October 16, 2002 at 13:37

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: October 16, 2002 at 13:38
ROXY BLUE.

where can i get this album since it is no longer in print. i saw this group on mtv a few years ago and ive been searching everywhere.

From: HardRockR Date: October 17, 2002 at 14:44
If you get a chance to hear cd, do so. It rocks. It't got that good time feel. Rob the Cradle reminds me of the late 80's and being a teenager. Hell Yeah.

From: The Fizzy One Date: October 20, 2002 at 23:39
I find this one similar to Hair of the Dog's RISE album, not in sound, but in that for me, the first four tracks are rather boring, and the disc doesn't really hit its stride until #5, in this case, the single 'Rob the Cradle.' And damn! Picture L.A. GUns with an accentless Phil Lewis (or perhaps more polished Brian Jack) and the mutant hellspawn of Tracii Guns and Eddie Van Halen wielding the axe. I can only imagine the contortions this guy must've been going through while he played, holy shit!

From: Louis Date: November 12, 2002 at 17:31
I just heard about this band last week. I was looking for Trixter stuff on ebay and this popped up with it. People say RB sounds a bit like Trixter. If they do, they've got to be amazing. I want to get real bad. I like the cover with the band on it though..not uncle sam. Has anyone ever heard of Trixter or Britny Fox?

From: TIM Date: November 12, 2002 at 18:53
I like looking at the lady personally. I have Trixter and Britny Fox. I'm at rio1harris@aol.com if you want to chat.

From: The Fizzy One Date: November 13, 2002 at 0:24
Oh hell no, Louis, I don't really hear much similarity between Roxy Blue and Trixter. Roxy Blue's singer had a much deeper voice, a la Phil Lewis (L.A. GUns) without the British accent. THe guitarist is also MUCH flashier (and better) than Steve Brown of Trixter. All in all, Roxy BLue is a good deal harder-edged than Trixter, although they both had rather the same half-fun, half-cheesy lyrics and attitude.

From: Jason Date: December 29, 2002 at 23:14
Hey Louis...Yes, I am familiar with Trixter and Britny Fox. Both good bands. Britny Fox is back on tour with the line up from the Bite Down Hard album...Tommy Paris (their 2nd vocalist)is singing. They recently toured with Doro Pesch (the female vocalist from the 80s German Heavy Metal Band WARLOCK). Johnny Dee the drummer for Britny Fox is also the drummer for Doro. He has been with her band since 1993 (shortly after Britny Fox disbanded).

From: Louis Date: January 3, 2003 at 23:42
Wow Jason you sure know a lot about Britny Fox. Did ya ever check out the Scott Scaefer Britny Fox web site. It's great. How do you like Roxy Blue? I'm trying to get this album but I want the new style cover with the band on it. It seems more rare to me than the Uncle Sam one. I hope Britny Fox is going to be unique with their new album and go back to the HAIR METAL style. Don't you agree Jason?

From: firehouse Date: March 1, 2003 at 10:52
un buen grupo y buen cd. no sabreis que ha sido de los componentes? si han formado nuevas bandas.

From: JoeDolan Date: March 13, 2003 at 21:24
Just got this at a pawn shop for $2.oo. Now that's a good score. This is a keeper. Too bad they weren't 2 or 3 years earlier. Tastefully edited, nice clean recording, gutsy vocs and some great guitar work. Great cover of the Who's Squeeze Box. joe dolan find me at www.cdrtrader.cjb.net new trades all the time. out

From: joedolan Date: March 13, 2003 at 21:25
p.s. - hey hason ... when Doro toured here in Massachusetts last year, she had three guys from New jersey in her band. She opened for Dio and Yngwie, hung out backstage ... great girl. out

From: Lou's Father Date: March 21, 2003 at 13:06
I hate Britny Fox, Trixter and Roxy Blue. Nothing against the fans, except my son Louis Caruso.

From: matt Date: April 2, 2003 at 20:48
a great band that got left for dead because of grunge. too bad this is their only album because it kicks total ass. great vocals and great guitar work. i remember the songs rob the cradle and luv on me but the whole damn album is good. wish this website gave more info on the band slik toxik from canada.

From: robert Date: April 3, 2003 at 14:09
Para mi un disco bastante flojo, exceptuando algun gran tema en concreto, pero poco mas, para mi a a'os luz d bandazas como: Danger 2, Firehouse, Warrant... This is a great album. Love every song on it!!

From: kevin Date: April 7, 2003 at 16:26
just read Todd Poole interview at 'metalsludge.com'. He ended up being the drummer (!) for Saliva (!). Scotty T. (Todd Scott) ended up in the band 'Dust for Life'. crazy stuff!

From: Jason Date: April 25, 2003 at 12:07
Hey Louis. Yes I am familiar with most of the hair band era. I would love to go back to the 80s and live it all over again now. If only I could grow my hair back out again...lol As for the comment made above by Connaiseur, Roxy Blue is definately worth every penny. It's bands like Korn, Slipknot, etc that killed good, melodic rock n roll. THEY are a waste of time and money. Since RB is out of print people who want it should do what I did, find a download source and burn the songs onto cd.

From: Mattboy71 Date: May 19, 2003 at 19:22
Hi guys. Todd Poole has a new band, www.railband.com Also, check out The Wildhearts, a great UK band: www.thewildhearts.com

From: Louis Date: May 24, 2003 at 2:14
I bet Todd Poole's new band isn't any good. They're nothing compared to roxy blue. Unles Todd is sticking to his hair metal image....that band stinks.

From: King James Date: June 30, 2003 at 2:19
This is some good heavy metal. Get it if you can.

From: Metal T Date: November 10, 2003 at 19:03
Totally uninspired Van Halen' rip-offs!----however their version of Squeeze Box'is pretty nice .

From: Rocker76 Date: November 19, 2003 at 13:19
If you like Tesla then you'll like Roxy Blue. Good melodic hard rock album with consistently good songs (ballads & rockers). Too bad they came in way late in the game.

From: Louis Date: November 26, 2003 at 18:12
There is actually a bootleg CD of RoxyBlue occasionally going around on ebay. I've seen it but don't have it. It's a live cd.....entitled Live at the Roxy from Hollywood California. I'd be nice to see that cd factory printed. Want Some? by Roxy Blue is a wonderful album

From: lance1 Date: December 14, 2003 at 1:05
find this cd-it will be worth it.roxy blue is so awesome and yet so underrated.you can hear the van halen influence on this disc.luv on me and nobody knows are so good.one of my top 10 metal cds of all time,up there with shout at the devil and the lizard.awesome cover art.they need to get back together and put groups like linkin park and korn to rest.ROXY BLUE rules.

From: Evo Date: January 21, 2004 at 19:51
picked up the Roxy Blue CD with the original cover off ebay coupla weeks ago for about ' 4.00 - what a bargain ! Nothing original just a great party rock 'n' roll album, very VH influenced - nothing wrong with that! Get it if you can.

From: AOR freaky Date: January 29, 2004 at 8:06
Listened to this once again yesterday and the verdict : very, very standard, average party hardrock. No memorable songs at all ! Guys, when will you learn to separate class from average ? ! This is very average !!!

From: Lou Date: February 3, 2004 at 11:44
Well......Roxy Blue is no Trixter or Britny Fox....but they're still up there.

From: Dean Date: February 4, 2004 at 16:22
Yeah Lou- you're right-they aren't Trixter or Britny Fox-THANK GOD- much much much better. Sid F. is fricken UNBLVBLE. They guys were pretty much early VH clones but were still pretty killer.

From: Lou Date: February 4, 2004 at 18:13
I have to say...I disagree with everyone whom says that Roxy Blue is an early Van Halen clone...the only point on the cd that sounds like VH is the guitar solo right before the song 'Rob the Cradle.' THAT'S IT! Trixter and BF are better...but not dominating. I think Sid Fletcher is a tiny bit better than Eddie VH. Or atleast equal. To all planning to buy this album....don't buy it just becasue you think it might sound like VH. It's got it's on individual flair...buy it because it's Roxy Blue

From: AXL RAVEN Date: February 13, 2004 at 13:36
I saw these guys in their prime and I thought it was the 2nd coming of Van Halen. I have a live show of theirs from Hollywood where Nikki and Tommy were in attendance and apparently wanted them to tour with them. They were the kings of Memphis music in 90-92. I saw them at the Daisy, Rascal's, and Stage Stop. Great music and great showmanship, but grunge stopped them before they could take over the world. If interested in a copy of the live disc, email me RAVENSUNKING13@CS.COM

From: drummerfish Date: February 22, 2004 at 7:13
weak 'who' cover, but the rest is great.too bad they couldn't release a 2nd cd.got a message from the drummer last year and he has a new band and is playing guitar in it.anyone know why the artwork was banned?

From: Lou Date: March 22, 2004 at 17:53
These guys need to release a demo cd. I mean ...they've got to have more than this!

From: BubsTA Date: April 29, 2004 at 19:39
I won this on Z-ROCK years ago and still listen to it. Produced by Mike Clink who produced GnR. Yea, it's "party rock" but it's above avg. Sid is a really good player. This record rocks, not a waste of time or $, it's well worth the standard used cd price of 8-9 bucks.

From: Date: June 7, 2004 at 6:37
Is Sid Fletcher really a dentist in Florida now? Where is Todd Poole? He's a drummer? His "Railband" site is a no go. Scotty T is a guitar player now? Wow! Who's got the confirmed goods on what these guys are doing now?

From: Big Papa K Date: June 14, 2004 at 18:01
This album reminds me a lot of Warrant's "Cherry Pie" album. That is no surprise as Jani Lane is involved with this album. The Who cover is poor, but the rest of the album is fairly consistent. Not a band with an original thought, but an album worth a listen. 7/10

From: Randy M. Date: June 14, 2004 at 20:21
great live band....saw them play at a outdoor venue in Memphis with Wildside and i think Great White...anyone in the Memphis area have the demo of Scotty's pre-Roxy Blue band M-SLIDER???....been looking for eons.

Let's not forget this little gem.... Sid Fletcher went to school for 8 years after Roxy Blue! Props to him for that!..................http://www.dentfirst.com/doctors/fletcher.html

Sid Fletcher' went to school for 8 years after "Roxy Blue" ????----Wow !-----Like anyone gives a freaking sh*t !---School Sucks !-& so do these jokers .

From: Wag L. Date: June 28, 2004 at 18:35
Wow Metal T...that's not a nice thing to say at all. The only reason you say school sucks is probably because you dropped out...only because you thought drugs was a better alternative...but whatever..atleast Sid Fletcher has truly made something of himself...if the music biz would not allow Roxy Blue to go on...atleast Sid decided NOT to become some washed up has-been. He left his mark on the music world and that mark is this album. Anyone who thinks Roxy Blue seems interesting...buy the cd !!!

From: Metal T Date: June 28, 2004 at 19:53
Wag L.-----------Im sorry, please don't hurt me ...

From: Wag L. Date: June 29, 2004 at 12:10
Thank you for apoligizing Metal T-------however.....I'm not going to try and hurt you....you'd be the one hurting me...you're probably 30 yrs. old......I'm still an 18 year old kid, you're bigger and stronger than I. Roxy Blue has got to be one of the coolest bands I know. I also know, all fans agree!

From: BubsTA Date: June 30, 2004 at 20:37
I think Sid going to school after the failure of Roxy Blue, and becoming a kid's dentist, is pretty cool. 8 friggin years? That's alot of school. The guy has got to get his props for realizing it was never going to happen, and immediately getting into college. Cripes, the guy went college starting at like 28 or 29. That's crazy! Good for you Sid!!

From: Lou Date: July 30, 2004 at 11:07
Roxy Blue is better than Van Halen.....so you Van halen fans...pick up this disc and get blown away. Those fans would know that this must be pretty good if that is so!

From: Marla (MJ) Date: September 5, 2004 at 16:11
Van Halen??? Warrant??? Don't hear that at all from here. "Nobody Knows" could be being sung by Jeff Keith's little brother..lol...to me, it has a serious Tesla feel. "Times Are Changing" is what sold me on this one...love that song. "Rob The Cradle"...ok, maybe early VH....but ehhhh...just an OK song...."Squeeze Box" is the only song on here that I skip over....didn't like it when The Who did it....didn't like it when Poison did it...and still don't like it..lol...

From: Geoff Date: September 5, 2004 at 20:37
I've always had a soft spot for these guys. The three ballads 'Times are changin', 'Nobody knows' and 'Luv on me' are all great tracks. The rest is good, hard rock. I'd have loved a few more melodic styled gems, but they're a good band, well played rock n'roll. I really do quite like this CD. The pre-chorus is the very suspicious 'Rob the cradle' is awesome too.

From: Lou Date: September 16, 2004 at 10:02
Roxy blue is certainly top notch..I agree.....Squeeze box wasn't really anygood.. Luv on me is a dear song to my heart!

From: Border Rat Date: October 23, 2004 at 15:19
This is an excellent cd.The song squeeze box is really funny with it's tongue in cheek lyrics.Talk of the town, too hot to handle & sister sister are fine songs. The vocalist is good and the guitar playing is also very impressive. It is a shame that these guys never had the career they so much deserved.

From: Dean C. Date: November 20, 2004 at 20:35
Saw Roxy Blue in a tiny "club" in Pittsburgh back in the day...awesome show. Funny thing was, it was in a strip mall next to a pharmacy!!! Anyway, Squeeze Box is great, and I HATE The Who! I agree that it is a shame that they were a day late and a dollar short. Grunge ruined the whole thing! 80s rock. If I only had a time machine! Oh yeah, the VH comparison is totally unfair. Roxy Blue's "WANT SOME?" stands alone on its own merit.

From: Trick Taylor Date: November 22, 2004 at 10:42
I agree with Dean than no band was hit as hard by grunge as Roxy Blue. They were poised to break and had it all wiped away with one tattered green sweater and head of unwashed hair. I disagree with his assertion that VH comparisons are unfair. In fact no band borrowed as much from VH since BulletBoys. Right down to the Eruption-like solo. Don't get me wrong, I think Roxy Blue played energetic pop-glam better than most. I thought the production was poor, but great songs!!

From: Cherokee1975 Date: December 21, 2004 at 3:50
Bueno, rectifico, el cantante Todd Poole también participa en un grupo llamado "hollywood underground", no los he oído, así que no puede decir más, saludos!

Hated it when it was released. There are times on this disc that are down right plageristic it's a wonder VH didn't sue.But I gotta say it is a Fun ride and they are a Great Band. I love it now even though I can count the Eddie licks and I have (15 are out right thefts). But hey It is So fun that it doesn't matter anymore.8/10

Stunning album. The guitar playing is awesome, the singing etc. Well its just the the whole band, the pure energy you feel coming thru this disk. If ever a band deserved cliches as "what if the grunge" and "wrong place wrong time"then its this band. They totally deserved to be very big. But life aint always fair. But man what a talented band. And i do agree that they shouldnot be compared to anyone. They do stand alone in their own merit. 9/10 . Essential !

From: Chad Date: January 15, 2005 at 22:09
Essential is the key word. I was not too impressed with this when it was first released as the vocals threw me a bit. I initially was intrigued with the guitar playing on this one but the vocals really seemed to hold it back. But twelve or so years later, this one does indeed stand up. Pick it up. If you call yourself a rocker, this one must be in your collection. Try to get the Uncle Sam cover too as its way cooler than the other lame cover. Nonetheless, its the music that matters.....

12 years! you have to be joking.... is it really that old. it still sounds great. Excellent songs one of the best hairband releases. Wow how times just evaporates... Great album 8/10 on my very strict charts.

From: Lou Date: January 18, 2005 at 9:59
Roxy Blue gets a 10/10 in my charts. Wow what a band....I disagree....the other cover (not uncle sam) is cool too! I have a poster of them in my room. I think I'm the youngest Roxy Blue fan around....19...found out about them at 17. My favorite song by Roxy is "Luv on me" and it is one my favorite songs of any. Best thing for all music lovers to do is...go out and buy this one, it's inexpensive and you'll be glad you did when your ears absorb the music. A breath of fresh air...it really is!

Too bad they didn't last long - this is a great DISC. All the songs are great - highlight for me - 'Luv On Me'.

GREAT CD FOR HAIR METAL'S FINAL DAYS. UNFORTUNATELY, BANDS LIKE THIS WOULD SUCCUMB TO BANDS LIKE KURT NO BRAIN AND NIRVANA, EDDIE DON'T GET NO BETTER VEDDER FROM PEARL SLAM, ALICE IN CHAINS AND SOUNDGARDEN TO NAME A FEW. IF YOU CAN FIND THIS CD, PICK IT UP, IT'S A DEFINITE MUST FOR HAIR METAL FANS. I REMEMBER HEARING "ROB THE CRADLE" ON THE RADIO BACK IN THE SUMMER OF 1992. IF THERE'S A RADIO STATION OUT THERE THAT STILL PLAYS THIS SONG OR ANY OTHER RARE SONGS LIKE THIS, GOD BLESS YOU!

I can't believe there are as many comments as there are about this one. I didn't think it was that big of a release when it came out. It's comparable to Warrant, Syre, Firehouse or any of the other bands from that genre. It's pretty good party rock. I have the Japanese version with alternate cover artwork.

This is a well produced above average hard rocker that can be had for a very reasonable price....so go for it...

Mis temas preferidos "Rob the cradle" / "squeeze box" / "luv on me" y por supuesto el pedazo de balada "times are changin' " IMPRESCINDIBLE.

This is another disc that just blew me away at first listen. Another great disc throughout. A top 25 All-time for me. 92/100

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: May 30, 2008 at 0:28
The second half of this thing is some pretty good, if formulaic, L.A. Guns/Van Halen-style party metal, with some crazy guitar playing. The first half is pretty much the same, only more boring. "Rob The Cradle" is the only standout for me on the first half.

From: Zoner Date: October 21, 2008 at 5:41
The guitar part in the beginning of Rob the cradle sounds much like the intro from cumin' atcha live by Tesla and the beginning of Main Attraction sounds like Rocket Queen by Guns n Roses. And all these bands are Geffen's boys so it's no surprising there. And to BIG-TIME, I don't really get you. Tesla is not good for you and Roxy Blue is not good for you either. But how can you like Modern Day Cowboy by Tesla and dislike the rest you are strange sir.

From: Doug Date: October 22, 2008 at 10:47
This is a great, and unfortunately, overlooked release. Their timing was just bad like many other bands. Give it a listen!

From: BIG-TIME Date: June 8, 2009 at 20:05
To Zonar I like a good tune not just because it has guitars in it! Modern Day Cowboy is a good track but thats it... Roxy Blue for me just don't cut it not one song! they just don't click. Say Stay by Giant great tune but say a band like Queen some albums I like some I don't you can't like them all because it's Queen... like said I like a good tune it's just taste varies...

From: RatScare Date: December 17, 2009 at 22:21
Purchased this CD 6 months ago on an impulse, glad i did. Now one of my favorite albums, too bad about the timing for these guys.

RatScare, good job. This record flat out kicks butt!

I was listening to this one over teh weekend. Didn't realize these guys were from Memphis, as you'd never guess it to listen to their music. They sound totally L.A., where Tora Tora (also from Memphis) wallowed in southern-ness and blues. The singer constantly apes Sebastian Bach with the screams, but sounds more like an American Phil Lewis.

Got this album in Cassette when it first release, and become one of my favourite. Too bad they only had one album then disbanded. Really hope they could get back together and create another great album for the fans. I give it 9.8/10. Grab one if you can.

Excellent 80s style hard rock. The best way to describe it is to imagine a mixture of Trixter and Van Halen. Great melodies, riffs, solos and vocals are abundant on this album so I recommend it.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 14, 2011 at 14:18
I wrote a little comment way back in 2005 asking...where are they now???...the answer is...disbanded!!!..obviously...and what a shame honestly...this act lived under the shadow of some other great bands(far better in composition i suppose) but they also deserved to be with the BIG names of Hard Rock...the year also didn't help at all (1992),you know what happened next ..."Too Hot To Handle" & "Main Attraction"(first and last song) are my fave ones but also there are great numbers such as "Times Are Changin'" which is a nice ballad,"It's So Easy","Squeeze Box","Talk Of The Town",this one played live is a monster of a song! & "Love's Got a Hold On Me"...only one record ...well s**t happens...94/100

From: metalmaniac777 Date: May 5, 2011 at 13:08
The guitar player smokes his axe as if his life depended on it, and while the overall sound is sort of Van Halen-meets-Tesla, it's all filtered through the trappings of early 90s hair-metal, because while the band may have hailed from Memphis, their style was pure L.A. The band suffers from a want of a few more killer tracks--this release is peppered with too much filler--but that's why God invented the "Skip" button. When it comes to Roxy Blue, the answer to "Want Some?" is an unequivocal "Yes."

WOW!!! I've been compiling hundreds, probably over a 1000 metal albums from back in the glory days of Hair Metal that I never got to experience during the time period, due to poor exposure/advertising on their part and limited resources on my part...lol...that said this metal masterpiece....that's right METAL MASTERPIECE!!!! now belongs right up there with my faves of the genre...If you love Winger/Warrant/Bon Jovi/Slaughter/Poison/et al. then you will most likely love this one too...It definitely would make my top 50 Hair Metal albums of all time...and maybe top 20...WOW!!!

FNA Records is planning to release three new albums bfrom Roxy Blue later in the yea, one of them a live disc. Raiding the vaults, which is what FNA does. I had to laugh, reading the press release, . All about hwo Roxy Blue were "the Next Big Thing, but nobody could have imagined the grunge phenomenon ..." Sheeee-IT! Look, I love hair-metal, and I like this disc, but let's not kid ourselves. These guys brought NOTHING original or groundbreaking, and weren't going to be the next big anything.

From: Palash Date: December 3, 2016 at 23:45
Good album. I didn't know about Roxy Blue. When I heard their first song 'times are changing' which was in a rock ballad collections CD, I thought Jon Bon Jovi was the main singer of this band. Maximum similarity have between Roxy Blue and Bon Jovi.

Let's go back to the spring of 1992. On the radio are "Everything About You" by Ugly Kid Joe, "Let's Get Rocked" by Def Leppard, "The Wild Life" by Slaughter, and this new band Roxy Blue with "Rob The Cradle," a song that sets Winger’s creepy jailbait aspirations to a "Hot For Teacher" boogie. I thought it jammed! Here comes another summer, party-rock style. And we thought it would always be this way. I'd like to find the date for this, but Roxy Blue's gig at the Troubadour in L.A. was recorded for broadcast on the "In Concert" series, and has been available as a bootleg. cht the beginning, the announcer says something about how this week, we've got two great bands from the Pacific Northwest—oops, Roxy Blue are from Memphis, Tennessee. At the end of the set, he's back to remark, with professional detachment so you know he's just reading a script, "Those guys sure know how to rock!" Then he urges you to stick close to the radio, because after these messages, a live set from another grea

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: May 11, 2021 at 14:16
... great up-and-coming band from the Northwest—Nirvana! Hey, I turned twelve that summer; if it had loud guitars, I was in! It never occurred to me to listen and compare what Roxy Blue and Nirvana were "saying" with their music, because in my experience (which was about 90 percent hair-metal at that time), nobody said anything with their music as far as I knew, except White Lion—and that was A-okay with me! I'm not sure when it really dawned on me that times really were a-changin'. I do remember one Sunday evening about a year later, hearing Winger's "Seventeen" back-to-back with Firehouse's "Reach For The Sky" on the radio, and thinking, "Wow, I haven't heard either of those in a while!"

Quite late to the party. Just read an interview in which Todd Poole says he auditioned for Warrant after Jani left and the tracks ended up on a Japanese release. Anybody have info on this?
