If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Ransom CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Ransom are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

An awesome band and a great example of what heavy metal is all about. Lisa Faxon's vocals remind me of Lita Ford, but with a lot more power and conviction.

Whats to say, this is the best thing that came out of the day.

Sounds EXACTELY like SARAYA!!! The closest female fronted band to SARAYA, of all the other female fronted rock bands. Excellent 11 track cd from start to finish!!!

Maybe one of my fave christian melodick rock productions but the music is not at the same level,IMO.I like Lisa Faxon voice and musicians too, they have the potentiality but they show good things in few tracks. Some decent tunes and riff but nothin'more. For their production, vocals and potentiality I give them 7.5/10.

I was looking for a Bands Web site and came across this site. I am finding it to be pretty cool. It was in '89 that I was working for a Co. and got to meet Michael Ciado (I think, my memory not as good as it used to be) but he told me about this band he played in called Ransom and he even gave me a tape of 3 songs that the recorded and are not on any of the CD's listed above. I am willing to send them to anyone that wants them, for CDr's of the CD's Listed. Let me know

Not sure where JS-Superhero is getting the Saraya resemblance. From what I have heard so far this is lees than average. Saraya is fantastic!! To bad they did not try to be more melodic instead of a metal sound. 4/10 from me.

This is not bad at all !! It did not however make much a wave in the christian rock circles as there were many bands coming out at the same time as them. Guitar and vocals are solid but unless you are collecting just christian rock this album may not be for you. 70/100

This CCM band strongly reminded me of Harlow( another act led by a female too)..."Lasting Love" is a great rocking starter,"Rumors" is AOR inspired,"Fool That I Am" excellent,"Tonight" beautiful ballad,"Etched In Stone" & "I'll Never Leave You" another beautiful ballad... a recommended effort surely...92/100

From: rockhardrock Date: February 21, 2011 at 12:10
musically this band sounds like saraya or femme fatale. which means a very good glamy hard rock with big hooks. why I wrote musically...well their lyrics are different, better than of two bands I mentioned on the top of this comment here, these are christian lyrics. my faves: lasting love, tonight, your broken heart and when I die.

From: hair metal again Date: October 12, 2018 at 10:17
excellent debut for RANSOM bakc in 91 for a band that is very similar to SARAYA mostly because of the female vocals but also for its commercial approach and the sensational guitar work ,but of course not so good !best songs are "tonight","i ll never leave you"," memories of you"!highly recommended
