Slightly more slick and produced than their rough and raw debut EP, this is still classic British boozey rock 'n' roll, a perfect band for anyone into the Dogs D'amour or Quireboys styles. One of the best British bands of the era 8/10 |

When I did my prior review, I hadn't heard it in ages and just dug it out for a quick spin for reflective purposes. I've been listening to it repatedly for the last 12 days since then. Incredible. Yes, it's a bit less raw than the debut, but that's no bad thing. Ripley's vocals are fantastic (he came along way in 2 years - halfway between Ron Young and Spike on this one) and EVERY song is killer, my pick being Baby's So Fine. An outstanding release, shame they never did anything else. 9.5/10 |
