TWO RECORDS WITHIN A TWO YEAR PERIOD! WHILE I WAS VERY EXCITED THAT RACER X RELEASED ANOTHER RECORD, IT WAS A MIXED BAG THIS TIME AROUND. THE U.S. PRESSING OMITTED ONE HOT BITCH,FOR SOME REASON, SOMETHING HAVING TO DO WITH MIKE VARNEY. THIS DOES OFFER A GREAT VERSION OF "GODZILLA." I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ONE ONLY TO THE RACER X HARDCORE FANS. MOST OF THE MATERIAL IS FLAT. EVEN GREAT GUITAR PLAYING CAN'T SAVE THIS ONE. 8.5 FOR THIS ONE.

this band is one great place for paul to make his own show. incredible guitar playing.he will always be my no.1....this band can play, this kinda music in the 2000's. god bless you guys.i love you all.

A varied record, featuring some standard Paul Gilbert shredding. Pretty good stuff, all in all. And did anyone else note that "Mad At The World" features essentially the same main (or at least at the beginning) riff as "My Kinda Woman" from Mr. Big's LEAN INTO IT album...Paul musta wanted to use that riff again. No wonder, it's a good one!

This is much better than "Technical Difficulties". It's an awesome album.

From: Jade Date: January 19, 2004 at 15:44
Nope this one sucks because the songs dont go anywhere and they are not memorable or ok this is ok because it has awesome shredding? Damn the Technical difficulties cd was really inspiring and had songs! catchy songs at the least but here we dont have much of that then the next one Getting Heavier really dropped dead

From: Dean Date: January 20, 2004 at 13:23
Thought this was great but "Getting Heavier" didn't. Bet ya this is huge in Japan. Actually I think everything is huge in Japan.

This is another classic melodic metal album with all the guys in fine form, sounding better than they ever did really. Another great piece of shredding hard and heavy rock n roll and another great Paul Gilbert produced album. Recommended.

It's pretty amazing that this CD really doesn't sound much different to the albums released back in 1986. The production is better and not as rough, but musically and song-wise, the band have barely changed. Once again, I never take any more than 4 songs away from albums like this and this time the standouts are 'Let the spirit fly', 'Mad at the world', 'OHB' and the decent ballad 'Time before the sun'. Again, you must marvel and Gilbert's ability as a guitarist...

From: aTomiK Date: January 13, 2008 at 6:54
What a great heavy metal album! Martin is still one of the best and Gilbert a true guitar wizard.
