I was just looking at the track listing of this album, and was wondering? The cover song on this album called "Afterglow," is that the same cover that Great White did on their 'Hooked' album? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

It's the same tune jason. I have copies of this and QRI. They do a pretty cool version of it I must say.

The 2nd album featuring The late great Randy Rhoads. I get shivers when I listen to him play, especially when he started this band at age 16! Randy was doing things on guitar that even Eddie Van Halen hadn't thought of yet. The original version of Slick Black Cadillac is alone worth finding this Gem. Watch ebay for this and QRI to pop up. They were only released on vinyl, but there's some very good copies on CD circulating around.

Slick Black Cadillac is a great song. It has a different start than in Metal Health album. Superb Small Faces cover Afterglow (of Your Love) and Killer Girls are my another favorites, but all songs are at least good. Randy's guitar playing is awesome, and the whole band fits like a hand in the glove. I have read that Sarzo replaced Garni, so the line-up here is DuBrow, Rhoads, Sarzo, Forsyth. Yes, Great White played also Small Faces cover Afterglow on their Hooked album.

A very different QR from the 'Metal Health' era. Here, we get Randy's formative years and a glimpse into his developing lead style that he went on to forge with Ozzy a few years later. This album, and its predecessor, are pretty lyrically childish, but there is some really good music on it. (Sarzo replaced Garni, but he did not play on this album, yet his picture is on it - a trend he would continue onto his career with Ozzy... he never recorded with Ozzy, yet he's pictured on 'Blizzard Of Ozz'.

Great sophomore set here, Maybe not as established yet but you can definitely hear traces of things to come.

Is this CD a bootleg? Was this CD ever released?

From: Japangea Date: June 1, 2008 at 8:46
Both Quiet Riot earlier albums on CD with Randy Rhoads are 100% bootlegs as they have not been re-issued yet unfortunately. But there were very well-done bootlegs released in late 80's in Japan.
