This disc is full of Harmonies Galore. In fact, they almost seem very Def Leppard-ish on a few tracks. I had only ever heard 1 Stage Dolls song up until I stumbled across this cd. I went back and got the rest after hearing this. Favorite tunes are tracks: 1,3,4and 5 which os a reworked version of You're The One off The Essentials cd. This version has a little sharper sound to it. Easy 9 out of 10 here.

Woooow!!! What a return! After the smash hit of the compilation "The Essential" (I own it: the remastered versions of the classics are simply stunning!), the band come back with an incredible album, clearly the best release of the band's history. Buy this record, you must own it!

WOW...Stage Dolls springing back to life with a killer album. Torstein Flakne has a knack for writing hooks that goes straight into you head and sticks to your brain like glue. Songs like "Get a Life", "Everybody wanna R&R" and "Running back to you" are some highlights, but there's really no fillers here. This is the definitive Melodic Rock album for the summer of 2004. Turn up the volume of your CD player and head for the beach. XXXLNT!

This is one of the catchiest cd's I've heard in quite some time. Every song on this is great. Highly recommended!

I do really like this, and it's second best only to the S/T CD, but I'm not quite as excited as everyone else. Opener "24/7" is pretty average, and "Summertime Ladies" is just boring, but it sounds amazing and there is some really classy songs on here. "Running Back to You" could be their best ever track, and "You're the One" is equally great. Definitely a highlight of 2004, and an 8.5/10 from me.

Without question their best album to date. What do you expect with Mark Spiro involved in the songwriting and singing backing vocals.

Skip the weak opener "24/7" and enjoy the rest. No more to say. This is the AOR album of the year.

A great melodic rock release. For me, 'Running back to you' is worth the price alone, and on top of this there are plenty more gems to come. Great CD and best Stage Dolls CD since the s/t. 8 or 8.5/10

This is more like it - Bands Can still release AOR albums like this when they put there mind to it,stunning in all departments. Reminds me in places of Bryan Adams (Reckless era), Def Leppard (in the harmonies) all rounded off with that Stage Dolls sheen. Definately there best release since the S/T and definately THE AOR release of this year so far.

Indeed Jez, great release, but not the best AOR release at all. The best till now is Stan Bush with Shine. And then we have releases like Over The Edge, Spin Gallery, Final Frontier, Dakota, Renegade, Shadowman, even Ten etc. which are all much stronger pure AOR releases ! And look out for the new Pulse and the new Asia, both killer albums ! Great AOR release, but beaten by many other AOR releases !

Freaky - Spin Gallery pushes it close, as does Stan Bush, & don't forget the Brilliant Crossfade - White On Blue (i know you don't rate this one before you start), but the Over The Edge is very average IMHO, a dissapointment. The others all strong releases. The Asia i'm still waiting on - soundbites are amazing, but as they are one of my fave bands i may be biased, so i reckon this may change next week.

I'm completely with Jez on this. Over the Edge is pretty mediocre, Renegade is from about 1985 anyway, the Ten album is a million miles from their first album, and for me the Spin Gallery is not consistent enough. When they nail-it it's awesome, but there's some rubbish on there (like that leftover Mr.Mister song). Stan Bush, Final Frontier, Crossfade, Deacon Street, Shadowman and Stage Dolls are battling it out so far. Have yet to be completely blown away by anything in 2004 though...

Wotty, Jez, TIM(2) : I can agree with you guys. I couldn't name 'em all. You still have also the now long lost released second Workforce, not bad too ! The only one I really don't like is Crossfade !, Jez ! Too laidback, I suppose and too westcoast. Don't know, but I dislike that one. The rest, O.K. ! And I'm also curious to hear the whole new Asia and also the new Pulse (samples of both sound amazing !). And I agree, we have so many AOR CD's that it is difficult to be blown away by a new one !

Great. It's really a great album, good mellodies and rock. Maybe reminds Def Leppard and B. Adams (Waling up the neigbourgs). Maybe one of the best ten albums this year

Even though Dig was a great album, these guys always deliver!, I thought Dig did not have the stand-out killer songs that we are used to (Love cries, Heart to heart, Soldier's gun, Love don't bother me, etc). But when playing Get a life in my cd-player for the first time, I was once more blown away from the quality songwriting of Torstein. This album is just as good as Commandos and S/T, definitely among my top 5 of 2004, awesome and very melodic!!

Gran disco, Sonido de primera e impecable, Temas con mucho gancho y con la voz de Torstein Flakne no te puede ir mal para nada. "Running Back To You" muy buena àla Bryan Adams, la baladita "Someone Like You" me encanta. "You're The One" con sonido actual y bien POP a lo Bryan Adams(de nuevo? Sí y en varios temas) igual es un gran tema. "Too Late For Love" vaya temazo, mi favorita! "Naked In The Rain" Wow!Mi 2ºFav. y así. Mi 2º disco favorito de Stage Dolls(Commandos mi fav.) Buy or Die! 9.5/10

Far behind were the days of "Commandos" & "Stage Dolls" (who does not remember the great song "Love Cries")anyway 2 get 2 the point, this album is simply a Rock released (not Aor or Hard Rock)with perhaps some kind of Bryan Adams and John Cougar Mellecamp feel 2 it (listen to "Don't Fight It"..is John Cougar by the 4 sides!).The songs are more or less in the same line so as i said..a Rock released..good for some for others quite normal...as for me goes...a good one!!!.85/100

classy release by the great STAGE DOLLS with the band showing that they can easily write down great songs with plenty of hooks and a nice rocking vibe!the production and the musicianship are excellent ,though i d prefer bigger guitar solos !"too late for love" is a classic STAGE DOLLS hit and "runnin back to you","someone like you","naked in the rain " are remarkable too!i ve been with them since the late 80 s and never been disappointed

stage dolls is certainly one of the more underated hard rock band of the world.this record is exceptional.tracks 3.6 and 8 are three atomics bombs.three hits which deserve to play on radio several times by day.i m sure if peoples who don t know our music listen this cd ,they will be a o r freaks.no fillers only killer songs.top class hard f m.i m agree with hair metal whith this norvegian band we are never disapointed cause all their records are excellent (exept "dig" in 1997).but in this darkness time many melodic rock bands made a shit record(def leppard,y&t,vixen, danger danger ,ect ect).unfortunately "get a life " this marvellous cd never see the light of day in japan.

Yes, with this one they (finally) hit bull's eye, it's by far their best record, full of great melodies and hooks and almost no filler. Too late for love is the winner here, but closely followed by Running back to you, Get a life, Someone like you, Naked in the rain, Everybody wanna rock&roll and Summertime ladies. Very good, cristal clear production too!
