This is a pretty damned good recor & pretty much what was expected to be honest, especially tracks 1-6 which are all good, 'Rainin' On A Summers Day' & the brilliant 'Eye Of My Heart' which are my 'top tips'. It does fall off a little towards the end with 'Saturday Night' which is a bit of a Bryan Adams 'Kids Wanna Rock' wannabe (which was by far the worst track on the brilliant 'Reckless' album) & the new country'ish 'Where The Blacktop Ends' which is ok, but not a great track. So for me, I make it 8 out of 10 good songs & a great little album (only 40 odd minutes), killer sound/production too I must add. I would rank this sort of in the middle of the Stage Dolls catologue, ie not as good as the S/T or 'Get A Life', but better than 'Dig', 'Stripped' with the best moments on par with some of 'Soldiers Gun' & 'Commandos.

'Always' is definitely a nice opener and there are a few nice gentle Bryan Adams-esque AOR tunes here. But overall I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I love Stage Dolls, but there are quite a few fillers like the couple Jez mentions and just not enough really good songs for my liking. I could only say this is better than 'Dig' from the Stage Dolls discography but not as good as the rest.

Very modern and i was waiting more from this great band, rating 80/100.

Killer album. Sometimes you start wondering here if people can still really enjoy a great release. Always looking for a reason to complain. This is just fantastic stuff. Like Hope but then even a few notch up. And what a fantastic rocker Saturday Night ! Will comment all songs soon 95/100 a 2010 highlight fore me

Tracks 1,2,4,5,6 are really good and "My Strangest Friend" a quiet acoustic song, the rest is fillers IMO. A bit disappoiting album. "Get a Life" is better by far.. 7.9/10

Decent effort with a couple of standouts, being "Rainin' on a sunny day" & "Eye of my heart". "Always & "Saturday night" are ok rockers but the album ends on a low note with the two country flavoured tracks "Where the blacktop ends" & "My strangest friend"

six years after the sensational"get a life",stage dolls come back with a super record on the a o r heaven label.georg siegl have taken a wonderful fish in his trickle.ok this new realise in not really at the same level than his masterpiece s predecessor.there is some fillers this time ,tracks 9 and 10.but the others songs have the wonderful and typical stage dolls s trademark.fans ,like me ,can t be disapointed,it s impossible.tracks 1.3.4.6 and 7 are some hits, tracks 2 and 5 are two beautiful ballads and track 8 a super rock song.the japan issue is essential cause we have two extraordinary live version s of the hits;"love don t bother me" and "wings of steel".

Obviously this doesn't reach the heights of their previous album Get a life, but it's an ok album. I like Better off pretty and Taillights te most.
