| The breakup between Ozzy and Sabbath worked out the best possible way for both parts. Sabbath released the excellent Heaven & Hell and Ozzy released the equally classic Blizzard Of Ozz. With songs like Crazy Train, Suicide Solution and Mr. Crowley this is a milestone in heavy metal. Slower songs like Goodbye To Romance and Revelation showed what a great lyricist Ozzy is, and are among his best ballads ever. And add to this that Randy Rhoads rips on guitar and you have an all time metal classic!!

| I totally agree with Fredrik. The best worked out for both bands. Classic rock ballads from both that have alot of memories.

| Avoid the re-recorded versions, which have Trujillo & Bordin replacing Daisley & Kerslake... Can you say, 'Rip-off'? Don't fuck with a classic out of petty grudges...

| Great album. Randy sounded much better live though. Damn, that guy could play. I constantly pull out the cd tribute to him as well as the video tribute- I can't get enough.

| outstanding ebut by ozzy all the critics were writing that his career was over that there would be no more ozzy after sabbath and how wrong could they be this his debut solo album is a classic every song on here kicks ass and with the legendary randy roades on guitar how could you go wrong

| Se ha hablado mucho de la calidad de Randy Rhoads,y la verdad escuchas este disco,y JODER que pasada de guitarrista,es de aquellos guitarristas de los que te hacen subir un tema normalito,muchisimos enteros.En lo que a Ozzy respecta,hombre su voz es bastante limitadita,pero compone buenos temas(nada que ver con su época sabbatica),producción muy limpia,temas heavies bastante accesibles y ojo al solo que se mete Randy justo antes del ultimo tema.BUFF ,QUE BARBARO.BUEN DISCO.

| Without doubt the best Ozzy album along with 'madman' Randy Rhoads, what a phenomenal guitarist he was. I like all Ozzy's material, especially the Jake.e.Lee era, but the first two albums are among the top 5 hard rock albums of all time...OZZY ROCKS!!!

| After following up on Axelinger's comment Ozzy re-mixed this album in 2002 and removed everything done by Daisley and Kerslake and re-recorded it with different musicians due to a royalty tiff. Despite the fact that both co-wrote some songs they are not being paid any royalties and the lawyers have gotten involved. Unfortunately, the re-mastered cd I BOUGHT today makes no mention of this and in fact still mentions Daisley and Kerslake on the back cover! I'm returning this tomorrow. B.S.!

| What can I say...This is probably my most treasured album ever. I've listened to it countless times...Although its an old album it still rocks and maintains its grandios status in the year 2003. Randy is my all-time fave axewielder...'Crazy Train' should be on the top 5 of all-time metal classix. A real trail-blazin' album too....If you don't already have this album it's a big, big mistake...Go get it immediately....

| This is indeed a bloody great and heavy record, with a super Randy on guitar ! Ozzy isn't the best singer, but he has something, others will never have ! This is a classic hardrock album, believe me !

| Aside from the some of the Ozzy era Black Sabbath this is absolutely the best album that Ozzy has created. Randy Rhoads was incredible. I also love Diary Of A Madman (the following album).

| Ozzy's best solo album, mainly due to his top notch band, especially Randy Rhoads, whom I was lucky enough to have seen on this tour back in '81. Great riffs throughout and well constructed songs and solos. Even Ozzy's vocals sound OK, before he completely lost any ability to sing. Every song is top notch!

| Great c.d, and top of the line musicianship! Randy Rhoads was 'in my opinion' on his way to being the greatest ever! Simply great guitar work, and killer songs, this is a true classic in every sense of the word. Ozzy is the man, and this disc is the cream of the crop!

| Although I agree that the songs and solos on this album are top notch, I've always wished that the production could match the musicianship. There is virtually no bass register in the mix and the guitars are way too thin for my liking. Randy Rhoads played Gibson guitars, but you sure can't tell by listening to this CD. Again, I LOVE the songs and playing, but for the real Randy Rhoads sound, get Tribute.

| Truly this was the opening that world had waited for. The appearence of the sensational Ozzy and the new comer Randy. How ever even though Randy may physically be dead we can all still enjoy his presence by listening to their music. Randy you truly are missed.

| Every artist (usually) has an album that's a perfect ten. This is Ozzy's! Crazy Train, Suicide Solution, Mr. Crowley...classic. You can't go wrong with this one.

| Randy Rhoads is a legendary axeman indeed and this album is one of the Ozzy's finest moment. With tracks like 'Crazy Train', 'Suicide Solution', and 'Mr.Crowley', Ozzy put a great mixture of gloomy Sabbath style with 80s sound. 'Goodbye To Romance''s music is quite cheesy to my ear, but the lyrics are great. Couple of weak tracks I guess, but overall this is a must-have album.

| One of the biggest classics in the history of hard rock. The combination of Ozzy's very characteristic voice and Rhoads guitar is just immense. This is the absolute best release featuring Ozzy in my opinion. Too bad his genious of a wife has decided to cut Kerslake and Daisley out and re-record this fantastic album WITHOUT their contributions. If you are about to buy this CD, see to it that it's the ORIGINAL recordings you're buying, as those are the best.

| Ozzy came back with a vengeance on this one while Sabbath kind of floundered in comparison. Randy was indeed a guitar God in his own right. Too bad he was taken WELL before his time. This is a classic and look for the version with Daisley and Kerslake, not the new 'versions' without them. Petty.

| ozzy steps out of the shadow of black sabbath and releases one of the finest metal albums you will ever hear i think sabbath was better with dio (even though i love ozzy era sabbath)and ozzy was better on his own top notch i love i don't know,crazy train,goodbye to romance,siucide solution,mr.cwowley and mother earth this was ozzy's finest moment i can't say how many times i've listened to this i also have the remastered version and will be getting the original fancy re-recording it with those other two clowns the original's a classic

| The best move for both, Ozzy and Sabbath, was calling it quits and moving forward on separate tracks. Instead of loosing a great band we came out the other end with two winners in a row! While Sabbath released new great material with Dio, Ozzy was doing superb on it's own, well, on it's own with Randy. This release is an icon in metal history. 100/100

| Obviously, Blizzard Of Ozz is permanently enshrined in metal history, for several reasons. There's Randy Rhoads, of course, whose tone and technical skill play a huge part in how this album sounds. Then there's Ozzy himself, a trainwreck most had written off after getting canned from Sabbath, whose last two albums were not so good. And then, there's the music itself, pointing the way forward at the dawn of the '80's, not as heavy as the NWOBHM stuff, but definitely with a harder edge than the typical late-'70's hard rock. But it's not a perfect disc. The production is a little weird-sounding, at least in light of what was to come just a year later, with thin drums and farty-sounding bass. "Crazy Train" has been played to death on classic rock radio, to the point where I automatically change the station as soon as I hear "AlLL BOAAAAAARD, ha ha ha ha ha ..." Besides, I always liked "I Don't Know" better anyway. The album loses steam late, with "No Bone Movies" being absolutely terrible.

| a classic of the early 80s and of course the start of a great solo carrer for the legendary OZZY with great bandmates indeed and a nice raw production that captured the spirit of the early metal scene!"crazy train","i dont know","goodbye to romance","mr crowley" and "no bone movies" are great songs and Blizzard a clear milestone

| Well,i'm so much agree with all the comments here BUT,,,with all the respect that i got 4 Randy ( one of the best ever ),,,Sorry for that,,,,but Ozzy's best album started with Bark At The Moon,,WHY,!!!! Simple,,Jake Lee ,,Tommy on drums,,,but all is because of Jake E Lee,,,Damn peoples,are you blind or this guy with all this crazy damn guitar riff on the album and LIVE,,,put Randy,,Zakk in his little pocket,,,,the best Ozz guitar player everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This is where all began for the famous "Madman" or "Prince Of Darkness" how he is called  ..."I Don't Know" is my fave in here over classic cuts such as "Crazy Train","Suicide Solution" or "Mr Crowley","Goodbye To Romance" and the nice little acoustic one "Dee" are also high standard ones...enjoyable stuff for sure...80/100

| I've never understood the appeal of Osbourne and not just because of that horrid reality show, his talentless children or his ghastly stretch-faced wife. The Sabbath songs I like I do so in spite of his vocals not because of them and that band drastically improved once Dio was brought in if you ask me. Osbourne's vocals are very whiny and to me, his voice is tremendously subpar on anything he sings. With regards to this album, I feel the same way. The songs from this one that I like I do so in spite of the vocals. I've actually listened to this a fair few times over the course of more than 15 years in an attempt to 'get it' and I still find myself drawn to only three songs: Goodbye to Romance, Mr. Crowley and Crazy Train (the latter of which I can take or leave but the first two I like quite a bit). What's also interesting is that I've given his other 'classic' albums a listen and I find them not as memorable as this one which says a lot. Not really for me I'm afraid.
