Amazing!!

Better than the first album. More AOR than Hard rock. Some great ballads and stand out tunes. "Don't You run" is a great rocker. "Missonary" is a great mid-tempo tune. Overall cool album!

This album is just as good as the first album, maybe better!!! There sound is unique and real. The instruments are absolutely the BEST, and the vocals clean, clear and unrestrained. They have my top marks.

I keep on getting outbid on ebay for this CD! I need to grin and bear parting with the extra few bucks needed to get hold of a copy. I'm sure it will be worth it - their first album is superb!

Thanks Tim! Ummm... after my first listen it seems to me that Novella took their simple, direct and highly enjoyable sound from their first album and tried to do a bit too much with it. Overall, it didn't quite work... but then again, as I said that was my first listen. I wouldn't be surprised if it grows rapidly on me! Regardless, I am very happy to have this in my collection and despite my apparently guarded comments here I would still highly recommend it to all fans of melodic music.

The first album was a little more rock orientated while the second disc moved into a more polished AOR sounding album. Songs like Right In The Middle and Missionary give me the chills...beautifully recorded vocals.Production on both is excellent.

It's Adam from Novella. It's quite refreshing (and surprising) to know there's a person or two who still enjoy our music. I can't wait to tell Jonathan about your comments. All's well in Camp Novella, although our lives are considerably changed since the early nineties. Should anyone want to contact me please use dufus@adamgibson.com. Thanks! --Adam Gibson

Another great, classy melodic rock album. Some stellar harmonies, big choruses and top-notch musicianship. Highly recommended - both their CDs.

Its Jon from Novella. Thank you for the kind words and IM quite happy that our music touched so many people. As Adam said all is well with camp Novella. IM back in NJ and the other guys are scattered across the country. I guess Im just a northeast kinda guy. Thanks to the fans old and new. jspin0100@aol.com Jon Spinola

I am a big fan of Melodic-Rockmusic,I have collected a lot of cds in my life, but I must admit that this is a fantastic Band.Whot a lovly Voice it sounds as if it came from Heaven.I only own One big Sky from Novella,I can asure everybody just get lost in these wonderfull an hearttuching Vocals.Good bless this band.

From: BIG-TIME Date: February 19, 2008 at 17:05
Singer sounds like Michael Bormann (Jaded Heart)and to many sudden drum fills during the songs if you wanna call them that. Not really into it has the potential to be really good but misses the mark on every song...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

Huge Musicians, great stuff here...A fantastic album for every melodic fan! A highly overlooked GEM! pay attention on these two albums guys...95/100 from the bottom of my heart

Having found a sound & style that suited them well, Novella released more of the same on this sophomore CD, pretty much picking up right where the critically-acclaimed debut left off. Jonathan Pagano continues to be the highlight of this band, his rich vocals weaving a golden tapestry of heartfelt emotions that flow effortlessly over the deeper-than-average lyrics. While this may not be the greatest album to ever grace the earth, it is a solid addition to any Christian hard rock collection.

From: rockhardrock Date: February 21, 2011 at 9:12
quite impressive album by this christian band. like the sound, hooks, harmonies. very good produced melodic hard rock. and the lyrics...very good minded.showing you that you are not alone in this sometimes cold hearted world. some lyrics I couldn't understant, posiblly because english is my foreign language. my faves on this record: don't you run and heaven's on my mind (not only lyrically but also musically this one must touch your heart).

From: 123charpenay Date: January 21, 2012 at 13:16
their first effort was better.here it is very average.2 or 3 good american hard rock songs but the rest is weak.sorry for comments above i am not agree with them.

From: skonci Date: June 24, 2012 at 12:17
after first listening to this record it sounds quite different then after several ones.each time this album is better.singer has a great voice but unfurtunately he sometimes sings as a progressive rock/metal singers do and this is in some cases something I'm not very close with.well the drummer also drums as progressive rock/metal drummers do but unlike singing here this fits very well in this kind of music.the production is very good.the only 2 or 3 gems here would be:heaven's on my mind (my favourite here) and missionary and mybe don't you run (a bit too long if you ask me, but it does have a heavenly good chorus). other tracks that I like to listen to:1,2,4 and 6. special place here belongs to the lyrics which are not always as christian as whitecross' lyrics but if you imagine that words I, He and You represents our Lord than you should really love them. God bless you all!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 15, 2012 at 19:15
Miles better than the band's previous album...in agreement with Rafo Phoenix's comment and is exactly what i wrote about them on their first album and the type of music they do,is kinda of introspective and is at the same time quite hard to define its style..."Story","Bad Place","Don't You Run"(AOR feel),"Let's Talk About Love","Right In The Middle"(nice) & "Color Of Love" are my faves...recommended...90/100

From: hair metal again Date: May 18, 2016 at 8:47
excellent release for NOVELLA ,delivering some great music!their approach is commercial without being cheesy and their musicianship is of the highest level!"let s talk about love","heaven on my mind","fire in the house" are fantastic songs and overall a great indie of the golden era of the hard rock genre
