This disc is damn cool. Every track is great. It's proper hard edged sleazy glam. Love it.

This is not everyone's type of glam, but I like it. Heart of Stone is my favorite track. They're middle of the road as far as hardness. If you like "scratchy" vocals, then you'll probably like this.

If you are critical about production or expect every member of the band to be a virtuoso, then you won't like this. This is just basic fun glam.

Now this is COOL!!!!!!!!, The song 'It's you' is such a great party song! If this song doesn't get a party rockin' nothing will...

Lack of population control in the glam/sleeze/hair metal world meant MILLIONS of bands like these were signed. Nothing going for them, no standout tracks, no special tricks, just more of the lame, er, same.

You've got to accept that the song "It's You" is a CORKER!

These boys were from my home town of Youngstown, Ohio and even though glam was never my thing, I always kinda liked these guys. Heart of Stone, Eyes on the Prize and Dirty Love just flat out rock. There was never a shortage of hot chicks at a Noisy Mama show.

i'm a big fan of early 90's indie rockreleases but for some reasons this cd never did it for me..ofcourse there were a few good rockers on this album, but it never was among my faves ...

Picked this up on the cheap a few years ago & loved it from the get go! I kinda see them as a cross between Aerosmith & AC/DC with a glam finish!

First time i picked this up, it bored the hell out of me. Four years later i went to the same store I sold it to and picked it up again for the hell of it and it sounds much better this time around. They remind me of a sleazier Great White. I wouldn't really call these guys glam- just good old fashioned hard rock.

Very cool cd. I would call it a mix of Great White and Little Ceaser so yeah it definitely has that bluesy-sleazy feel. And the songs are catchy as hell--had "Dirty Dog" stuck in my head all day long at work.

Paul is a good buddy of mine, he still is hashing out songs and working hard in his painting business. This band should of made it, but they were screwed over by their management. The album is definitely worth the $$$!

One of the most average hard rock CDs I ever heard. I bought this at a time I held onto ANY hard rock CD I could find, but even back then I just had to get id of it as soon as someone would take it off my hands. Not one song stood out as a worthy track and IMO it is some of the most hookless and boring hard rock I ever heard. Thumbs down from me.

I knew this band back when the were White Noise. These boys Rocked! Wish they had more of their old stuff available. I have and old cassette tape of them live at Studio West in Warren,OH. They had a lot of awsome tunes. If anyone knows where to get any more of their stuff I'd love to know where. The original band was better with the original drummer and bass player, but Noisy Mama still rocked.

Always liked this cassette (didn't have a CD player at the time) -- saw them several times at local (Youngstown) bars and openning up for Enuff Z' Nuff. But I too liked them better as White Noise -- used to always play at a place in Youngstown (can't remember the name, but it was the old Agora). Rowdync, I'd die for a copy of that live cassette that you have (email me at nveau@neo.rr.com)!!!! I also think White Noise was on some Scream Records(YTOWN label) comps from the mid to late 80's.

I see a lot of positive comments here but I think this release is really weak. It was bands like this that brought about the demise of glam/sleaze/hard rock and the growth of grunge....

hmmm... don't think so. Nothing original maybe, but this cd still rocks by the numbers & would take this over grunge anyday.

From: metalmaniac777 |

Sure, these guys pump out some bluesy, swaggering, sleaze-tinged hard rock noise, but the songs just aren't interesting enough to merit repeat listens. If Aerosmith, Great White, and Little Caesar got together and had a gang-bang, the result might sound something like this. A couple of tracks have some OK-ish hooks and some of the riffs are catchy enough in a simplistic Hard Rock 101 kind of way, but this really was bottom-of-the-barrel stuff during hair-metal's dying gasp. Everybody who's had one of these CDs has probably ridded their collection of long ago...anybody who hasn't bothered to purchase this up until now still doesn't need to bother.

now that's a fine cd. it took me 3-4 listenings to see how great it is. and believe me it is. it sounds like something seriously touch up by bluesy feel between Dirty Looks, Johnny Crash, Kix and Great White. at 1991 I don't think they have copied these bands. top notch quality production at the highest level matching those greats Neighbourhood Threat and Get Used To It. their image was not so good IMO, way dated for 1990-1992 ... they sould stick to denim & leather like Steelheart, Four Horsemen, Rhino Bucket or Dirty Looks. coming back to the most important thing, the music, see the highlights IMO: Dirty Dog, Million Miles, Daddy ..., Dirty Love, It's You and Little Brown Jug. GREAT BLUESY BUT STILL RAW HARD ROCK CD !!!

Not Bad !! "Dirty love" & "Little brown bag" are the picks for me with their Aerosmith/Stones type swagger. The only track I didn't like was "Million Miles". Worth getting if fairly cheap.

It's not a bad disc at all. Scrappy, scraggly, raspy-voiced, party-hearty street-glam, kinda makes me think of early BulletBoys andj Cats In Boots. As many bands did circa '91, they try for a little credibility with a southern edge, but it's not overpowering. Not an original sound at all, and absolutely no surprise that the disc didn't make a ripple. But at the same time, a rowdy, fun listen.

I commented back in 2003 about loving this album, but with so many albums in my collection its rare that many get spun that often anymore, but decided to randomly spin this one again tonight and its reminded me just how much I love it. Bought this around 14 years ago from a mail order company who got a job lot of cheap CDs without jewel cases from somewhere, so he put them all in cases and sold them off cheap to his regular customers. I probably bought a bout 20 or so of them off him in one hit and took a risk on a bunch of bands I had never heard of. This was one of them. Yeah it was never gonna set the world on fire and was hardly original, but it sat somewhere in the same camp as the likes of Kix & Rhino Bucket etc sonically and came at a time when grunge was taking over, so it sank without trace. Songs are catchy as hell though, and cant think of a single one I dont like or would call filler. If you pick it up cheap and dont like it, whats to lose?

excellent hair metal release for NOISY MAMA with a fine sound& production !if you like bands like KIX or TORA TORA then you should pick it up and let a few spins before you get into the songs!in the start you wont find any big hooks but its a def grower and overall asolid performance!2 or 3 fillers unfortunately but very good in general
