If you like Stryper you must have this cd. Michael Sweet produced this album and has a huge influence on the sound. A strong 8.5

From: Sal Date: July 8, 2001 at 15:51
These guys were a talented group of rockers that played from their hearts. nevertheless, they did sound like a Stryper cover band, who cares? 9.0

From: daf Date: December 20, 2001 at 8:39
I was blown away when I heard this CD. It is AWESOME. If you like Stryper than get this one. Essential.

From: ziggy Date: December 25, 2001 at 14:13
being a big fan of stryper,i heard that sweet was prodcing this album so i had to check it out.needless to say i was impressed and sounding like stryper was a plus i just wish they could of made more albums.

From: ricky Date: January 26, 2002 at 10:29
they sound like stryper, but i think louie's voice not strong enough

From: Cephas Date: March 4, 2002 at 4:45
This is NOT a Christian band. Louis D'Augusta (!) in an interview explained the background of each song which in most cases was not religious. (Loving his girlfriend; being on the road a lot; etc.) The interview was on-line at Tripod (ultmetal.tripod.com/mass.htm) - but, now it's gone. How'd they get pegged as Christian? Don't know -- but, THEY'RE NOT. Just a "feel good" band playing second-rate '80's metal. Why bother?

NO ESCUCHE LOS ANTERIORES,PERO ESTE DISCO ME PARECE UNA AUTENTICA JOYA,ES APOTEOSICO

From: koogles Date: July 20, 2002 at 14:25
Cheesy lyrics, but good Stryper-like presentation. The first two tracks are particular highlights. "Voices in the Night" reminds me of Shy. How cool is that?

From: vicfirth Date: January 6, 2003 at 2:11
This is better than the last one. this´s album of love, not christian music. This guys they are not christians.

what impresses me the most about this album is that with very few arrangements they managed to make a good album.

From: Scott Date: February 19, 2003 at 4:46
Cephas is correct, Mass were not a Christian band. Check out the interview he mentioned here: http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/mass.htm However, this is a great CD-very Stryper like heavy metal. I still listen to this one often.

From: kryndar Date: May 25, 2003 at 10:27
The reason that Mass got dubbed a Christian band was because Michael Sweet (lead singer for Stryper) produced it. My favorite off this release is "Call Out Your Name".

From: BlueBoi Date: May 29, 2003 at 12:35
I think there is too much controversy on what is Christian or not. Anything can be considered that. For example, most people don't like Madonna's sexual innuendo, however, have you read "Song Of Solomon?" I rest my case. Just because you don't say God or Christ in every song doesn't mean you're not Christian! Judge not unless you want to be judged. The Bible says, "God is Love!" There's no more to say. This was a great CD. Michael's work was fantastic. Christian song, check out "Staying Alive."

From: VICROCK Date: August 11, 2003 at 19:04
eS UN ALBUM ESTUPENDO PERO ME SACA DE ONDA QUE SUENE TAN STRYPER, YA QUE MASS ES UNA BANDA TAN O MÁS BUENA QUE ELLOS. LOS OTROS DISCOS NO TIENEN ÉSE SONIDO Y SON EXCELENTES.

Michael Sweet...

From: Kique Date: May 8, 2004 at 17:07
Great album. If they're not Christian, please, somebody explain me lyrics like "Follow me"

From: jayglam Date: June 7, 2004 at 10:42
I love this cd, production is crystal clear perfect thanks to Michael sweet, all killer no filler on this release. Singers voice in strong and powerful, excellent leads and well crafted songs, this band should have been bigger than they were.

From: Marcus Date: September 29, 2004 at 4:24
Yep. Mass kicked ass big time!!!

From: Sergio Date: October 9, 2004 at 18:28
Las joyas: VOICES IN THE NIGHT, REACH FOR THE SKY, FOLLOW ME, STAYING ALIVE y las baladas. Es relativamente pesado, melódico, ganchero, etc. 9.5/10

From: Curtis Scheck Date: December 20, 2004 at 16:21
WHO CARES WHAT KIND OF MUSIC IT IS??? It is GREAT music!! That is what you should know about this band! My Fave song is Miles Away. Any MASS fan of band members PLEASE write me. saltydog419@webtv.net

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: September 7, 2006 at 23:16
Very good Hard Rock album, muy buen album producido por el gran Michael Sweet se parecen en algo a Stryper especificamente el In God We Trust el cual quieren aca comparar tanto esta banda como Stryper son bien melodicos y ambos buenos, al final de cuentas casi por no decir todas las bandas de Hard Rock incluso las de Metal en esos 80's tenian cortes donde exploraban el AOR y el Rock Melodico de alli tantas variantes como Hard/AOR Metal Melodico Hard Melodico alguien dijo Metal/AOR jeje 8.5/10

From: Nix Date: July 21, 2007 at 12:20
OK, so they are not a Christian band, but they sure could have fooled me with songs like 'Follow Me' and 'Staying Alive', both sounding very much like Stryper. My favorites on this album are 'Turn It All Around', which somewhat reminds me of Stryper's Caught In The Middle, and 'Follow Me'. It doesn't get any cheesier than lyrics like "Got what it takes to make the girls scream and shout! I've got to show 'em I can sing" I always prefer cheezy over sleazy, so I like it!

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 9, 2011 at 12:07
These guys got unfairly lumped into the mass of Christian metal coming out at the tail end of the '80s due to the production presence of Michael Sweet (Stryper) and a handful of lyrics that definitely seemed to stray in a religious direction. Musically, they were pretty much in the Stryper vein (no surprise, given the producer), but the songs simply were not as good as what the yellow and black attack were cranking out at the time. Still, fans of late 80s commercial metal could do worse than spend their nights listening to his CD...but they could also do much better.

From: 123charpenay Date: November 11, 2016 at 17:25
This band is a clone of styper.fan s of stryper will love it.not me, stryper is not my cup of tea.this record is nice ,easy to listen, but i feel no emotion when i listen it.

From: hair metal again Date: December 20, 2022 at 17:38
excellent release for MASS back in 89 reminding me of the STRYPER IGWT s sound especially in production !fine commercial hard rock music with many melodic lines and guitar work that will satisfy all fans and some good songs are offered like "voices in the night","nine tonight","follow me"!great stuff
