This album kicks 100% butt! Guitars, drumwork and vocals work together perfectly to provide an onslaught of pure head banging, fist shaking, chorus sing along fun! Choruses are super catchy and you wont be able to get the crunching axe riffs out of your head for hours!

From: Shoemaker Date: March 7, 2001 at 4:10
One of the best melodicmetal albums ever.

From: Paul Date: June 8, 2001 at 5:55
Fifth Angel is my favourite band as soon as I listened to the first album! Time Will Tell is a cracker too - even better!! Hard hitting numbers like Seven Hours and Cathederal, power ballads like Broken Dreams + the speedy Midnight Love take you on a Powerful & Spiritual journey - immense!!

From: Chris Date: September 8, 2001 at 9:16
"Time Will Tell" is one of the most overlooked melodic metal albums ever. From the spellbinding "Cathedrals" to the power ballad "Broken Dreams" this CD has it all Highly recommended to all who love 80s metal.

From: Dragonfly Date: December 13, 2001 at 7:23
As with their first release, this is an outstanding example of 80's rock. Can't help but love this one. P.S. This might be 80's rock but it still stands up to time.

From: Jenni Date: January 19, 2002 at 18:05
The first time I heard Fifth Angel was on the old Howard Stern show when it used to be on WWOR tv up in NY. Midnight Love was his theme song. I still have the tape, but would love to have the CD. I would play it probably daily.

From: Clayton Date: February 3, 2002 at 15:26
Great Album !!! Finally got the CD version. This group really rocks - it's too bad the didn't do more albums.

From: Drag-in-Bones Date: April 2, 2002 at 10:30
From strictly Metal into more of a Hard-Rock vein. The group not loosing much in the way of heaviness or aggression, "Fifth Angel" slides into a new deminsion. Check out "Bechtal's" wild fret-work and six-string screams on "Fifth Angels" version of "UFO'S-Lights Out" and the intimate "So Long" and "Broken Dreams".This album, Very frickin' COOL!!

From: koogles Date: July 5, 2002 at 17:49
This CD will rock the daylights out of you!! If you love Dokken or could dig a de-glammed Heaven's Edge, don't even read the rest of these comments... just get on eBay and start bidding! Pretty damn amazing alright.

From: WidoMakr Date: July 6, 2002 at 19:38
Koogles..while I like this album ALOT...Seven Hours is a GREAT GREAT tune...the first album IMO is MUCH better...have both on CD when they cost 10-15 bucks in the stores...credit New Jersey radio station WSOU for turning me on to them..thats not saying the 2nd album isnt better than 90% of the stuff out there today but Fifth Angel and Wings of Destiny are 2 KILLER tracks...shame they arent pyutting more music out...Quote the WidoMakr....never more

From: JOURNEY Date: August 5, 2002 at 9:22
THIS GROUP IS INCREDIBLE!!!! THEY ARE REAL WONDERFUL!!!!I DON'T KNOW THE WORDS TO SAY HOW MUCH ARE BEAUTIFUL THIS TWO ALBUMS!!!!!

From: T.Black Date: December 5, 2002 at 14:24
Fifth angel was a wonderful band. Were are they now?

From: Teo_3 Date: January 6, 2003 at 17:29
What an awesome disk. With hits like "Midnight Love","Broken Dreams" & the video clip "Time Will Tell" you can't do wrong.A bit more hard rockish and less power metal than the first i give it a 9.7/10 and a 9/10 for the first one.

From: Bilboker Date: February 19, 2003 at 16:23
ACOJONANTE!!! Gran album y gran banda. 10/10!!

From: Rycheage Date: March 8, 2003 at 0:50
"Time Will Tell" is more polished than the S/T CD. "Seven Hours" and "Wait For Me" shred. "Time Will Tell" is good too. "Broken Dreams" is a good ballad. I recommend this disc if you can find it.

From: alejandro Date: April 9, 2003 at 12:37
Gran cover de LIGHTS OUT. TIME WILL TELL, BROKEN...SO LONG..WAIT FOR ME..CATHEDRAL Y MIDNIGHT LOVE, suenan sensacionales. 9/10,para Fifth Angel. carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

Just got this today. I would have to agree with a lot of the other comments about this being even better than the debut...although only slightly, they both ROCK!

From: Metal T Date: September 27, 2003 at 22:17
Another great band that got overlooked due to crap like Motley Crue, Skid Row and Def Leopard. Time will tell'is superb.Kendall Bechtel can shred and Ted Pilot's vocals are excellent.

From: Great Dane Date: September 28, 2003 at 18:55
Good review Metal T.I have Time Will Tell too. It doesnt even come close to any of the releases from the bands you mention. Its not bad though. But its completely without any hit material.

From: PauloFernades Date: September 28, 2003 at 19:00
"Crap like Motley, Skid row and Def" ? - omg - Tim's gonna have a breakdown

From: TIM Date: September 30, 2003 at 1:55
Nah. This is highly overrated shit IMO. Gladly sold it years ago.

From: Scandinavia Date: October 1, 2003 at 12:24
What about "Midnight Love"???? Amazing track ala Whitesnake Vandenberg-era........

From: Rocker65 Date: November 26, 2003 at 18:52
Man, I wanted this cd for freakin years. And now I have it. And It's been worth waiting. It ROCKS!!!

From: ROBERT Date: December 11, 2003 at 13:17

From: tyrantula Date: February 4, 2004 at 13:25
this disc pales in comparison to the s/t disc. the only song that even comes close on here is Cathedral. Otherwise it's just not up to par for me. And without James Byrd it just doesn't have the same feel in the soloing.

From: Date: February 28, 2004 at 14:13
There's some really stupid posts and opinions by the Twisted Sister/Dee Snider reject and the tarantula (you know who you are)reject. This band went down the drain out of greed because of the tag teaming and bitching of a couple of members vs. James Byrd. Unbeknownst to probably everyone here, Kendall Bechtell unfortunately went on to play in a grunge fuck/fag band. They opened for Queensryche on the Empire tour in Seattle and were absolutely abominable!Sorry Kenny, stay true to metal next time

From: wicked man Date: May 21, 2004 at 10:26
In my opinion this album is not so great.. not bad though, but very average 80's metal like I've listen 1000 times. And 'Seven Hours' is a rip-off of 'Love Machine' from WASP!!!Good musicians though, especially Ken Mary, my all fave drummer!

From: Fabrício Date: June 6, 2004 at 22:16
Time will tell is a great melodidy metal album, since i was a teenager I listen this group, it's amazing power guitar, strong drums, heavy vocal and lound bass a real heavy group. Take a chance and lisen, greetings from Brazil.

This is my favorite band. No band rocks like FIFTH ANGEL! It's rock-hard beat underlying razor-sharp rhythm fused with electrifying solos will leave nothing less than spellbound. I want this band to come back. I've got the lyrics for their first album - Fifth Angel, but not for their second - Time Will Tell. Can anyone help? My e-mail is .

Reminds me of a heavier Dokken. While they have all the ingredients to be very good, the album falls short of classic due to all the songs following the same formula. 7/10

From: John Macko Date: June 17, 2004 at 18:03
I understand the mixed feelings on this album, but let be known that the record company at that time was really pushing us for a "hit", which is one of the reason why this album turned out trying to sound more commercial. yes...we should have stuck to our guns and did what we did best. I'm curious as to who the seattle guy is above? I'm sure I know you!

From: meradona Date: July 6, 2004 at 13:26

From: Rick Thunder Date: July 14, 2004 at 6:16
FIFTH ANGEL IS A PERFECT BAND OF THE 80'S MELODIC HEAVY METAL, THEY'RE AMAZING, THEY HAVE PERFECT GUITAR SOUND, THEY HAVE GREAT CHORUS, THEY HAVE EXCELLENT LYRICS, WONDERFUL DRUM SOUND AND A POWERFUL LEAD VOCAL, SONGS LIKE CATHEDRAL, TIME WILL TELL, FEEL THE HEAT, SEVEN HOURS, AND LORD OF THE WASTELAND ARE JUST TOO MUCH TO BELIEVE THAT THEY EXIST, I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE FIRST ALBUM IS EXCELLENT TOO, THEY ARE TREASURES IN MY CD COLLECTION, RUN AND FIND OUT TO BUY THEM, TRUST ME HARD

From: Jon Marchewka Date: August 11, 2004 at 0:32
Fifth Angel was one of the best melodic metal bands of the 80's. Fronted by power vocalist and voice instructor Ted Pilot, Fifth Angel made Motley Crue sound like a garage band. Mind boggling, precission guitar riffs from James Byrd, Ed Archer and Kendall Bechtel take the listener to an all time high. Although they only released 2 albums, they made their mark on true metal fans with songs like Angel of Mercy, Midnight Love and Fifth Angel. Get these cd's at any cost.

From: Coop Date: September 10, 2004 at 21:44
I just recently got this cd and I think it's pretty good. The last song sounds different than the rest. Midnight love sounds like "Bad Boys" from Whitesnake's cd. Overall I like it. "Time will tell" is damn good.

From: harder Date: October 27, 2004 at 2:48
discazo absolutamente recomendable.10/10

From: keeper Date: November 3, 2004 at 8:23
This one got me hooked for a long time. Excelent piece of melodic metal. 10/10

From: Pirri Date: November 23, 2004 at 18:03
100% recomendables y no os perdais el clip del time will tell.

From: Geoff Date: February 20, 2005 at 6:36
If you like big riffs, big choruses and awesome hard rock songs, I dare say you'll love this disc. The album can be summarised in song one; 'Cathedral' hits you with a massive riff and a huge chorus, and that's how 'Midnight Love' goes, but better, then there's the stunning 'Seven Hours' - killer hard rock, and the beautiful ballad 'Broken Dreams'... and the rest are all killer hard rockers, 'Angel of mercy' being a stand-out amongst gems, and 'So long' the second nice ballad. Killer disc!!!

From: z4roxx Date: February 20, 2005 at 18:33
Indeed it's one of the best cd I have.Any other comments are waste of time now.10/10,marvellous!!!!

From: Emi Date: April 2, 2005 at 14:39

From: (CZ)mark-t Date: July 30, 2005 at 1:07
Hi.I love Heavy AOR and this CD very very harmony.Super sound.Excellent voc.Ted Pilot great chorus.Very Very Good CD.10/10

OH MY GOD!!!! this is perfect melodid metal.10/10.everything is perfectly cool.you must have this one.i've missed out on this gem.for 16yrs.just treat yourself to this god of metal.i'm blown away by this one.

From: PAUL Date: September 22, 2005 at 12:02
I totally agree with you dear stryper.Indeed a perfect MELODIC METAL/HARD ROCK release with good production, great mucianship and large assortment of songs.Ted Pilot's voice is outstanding and the guitarist duet offer some of the best melodic riffs/solos you've ever heard!"broken dreams" is an excellent ballad and the U.F.O.'s cover very good but not better than the original version. If you can imagine a heavier version of DOKKEN with some elements from WHITESNAKE just buy it.8.9 out of 10 for me.

From: Igor from Belgrade Date: October 6, 2005 at 10:57
Oh my God.Why haven't these guys become more popular? One of the mysteries of Hard&Heavy world, if you ask me.EVERY song is a 10/10, even the MSG cover.I was lucky to get this on a cd years back and still i'm waiting for some release to top it.AWESOME.

From: lalorock Date: June 12, 2006 at 20:02

Well this was a $16 mistake! The only two really good songs are Cathedral and midnight love, and I already had them! I was really expecting this band to be better. They had the guitar chops, one listen to Cathedral will tell you that, but the song writing here sucks. Doesn't hold a candle to bands like Tesla, dokken, or whitesnake!

From: sanxdowntherainbow Date: December 12, 2006 at 14:10
davedropd yo should give it another try!, this one ranks on top with bands like dokken & whitesnake and queensryche! Every song here kick ass! a must have...BUY IT!!!

From: juan carlos Date: January 25, 2007 at 16:30
Super-recomendado. 9/10

From: iridion666 Date: November 4, 2007 at 17:02

From: davedropd Date: March 4, 2008 at 0:47
Well have to admit sanxdowntherainbow was right! A few more listens were required. And I got the magic of this record now. Very melocic guitars and vocals, and you really can't ask for more than that. This is so much better than bands like warrant, and slaughter. It will be a miracle if I ever get a cd copy of lion dangerous attraction or the badmoon rising cd with the chick in the jail cell!

From: Wolven Date: March 9, 2009 at 17:23
Killer disc. I wonder why Ted Pilot didn't make it big?

From: True Believer Date: May 31, 2009 at 8:18
Very consistent and melodic CD. It seems these songs are similar to those of Dokken but even better. My personal faves are "Cathedral", "Midnight Love", "Seven Hours" and beautiful ballad "Broken Dreams". The UFO cover is also great. 9/10

From: BDrums1971 Date: June 5, 2010 at 0:32
I don't see how you can compare the lead guitarist from the first release to Kendall. This guy smokes!!! I love his tone, too (probably Les Paul/Marshall?). Anyway, very melodic songs and solos, with a fantastic production. Great!

From: the rocker Date: September 11, 2010 at 0:25
This Cd Is awesome. Every song is great. If like Leatherwolf you will like this no doubt.

From: Socratic Methodist Date: January 1, 2011 at 16:12
Fifth Angel is back together in 2011!! Although without Ted Pilot on vocals....stay tuned!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 14, 2011 at 20:34
Yeah guys this is a pretty good release...good songs and good guitar hooks...Ken Mary(House Of Lords)played drums in here ...my personal fave is "Time Will Tell" but other tracks such as "Cathedral","Midnight Love","Lights Out"(a good cover of UFO's famous track),"Angel Of Mercy"(AORish) & "Feel The Heat"(catchy) will put a in your face...decent vocals of Ted Pilot(could have been edgier for the songs IMHO)a great guitar player(Kendall Bechtel)and the rest of the guys did a good job for the cause...90/100

From: andi Date: June 21, 2012 at 10:33

there is several years ago i ved buying this cd.i ved follow the advice of my friend alain "toon s bartin" (guitarist of chain reaction france).he says to me" buy this record it s a killer cd, the two guitarist are very very strong".i was not disapointed this record is a big moment for lovers of hard rock with big guitars.no fillers only killer.irresistible album all songs are a masterpiece.any serious fan of hard rock have this jewel in their collection.sorry for andy but this record have nothing in common with skagarack a legend of scandi a o r

From: edwithmj Date: February 6, 2018 at 8:39
Another heavy metal album that has solidified its place into my all-time favourite albums list. The vocals are a perfect match the lyrics and the style of the music. I would say my least favourite song is Cathedral but after that the album picks up quickly with my favourite, Midnight Love, and the other highlights like Broken Dreams, Time Will Tell, the surpirsingly decent cover of the UFO cover Lights Out, which the band almost makes its own and Angel of Mercy. This is proper heavy metal with no thrash or garbage death elements in it.

From: guitarrizer Date: February 14, 2018 at 2:58
One of my favourite releases of all time. Everything is top notch here. Excellent guitarcraft, I never have enough of these guitar solos!

From: hair metal again Date: January 13, 2020 at 9:33
