This album was such a letdown. Poor production, poor song writing, and poor delivery makes this one band to avoid. THey have the makings for a good band, but they need some serious help. Maybe they oughta give Beau Hill a call to help them out. But, until they do, they are not worth spending your cash on. Lame sleaze metal here. |

If foolish consistency is considered as your favorite heavy-metal hobgoblin, then this album is right up your alley. The such contents of this album manifested activation of my funnybone. I opened a line of communication with some friends who listened to the album and they said it was complete balderdash. This album is horrible. |

This album fails to conjur up any interest to my ears. The songwriting is weak but their sound is ok, they just need better guidance. A dissapointing effort, to say the least. They should go back and regroup if they haven't disbanded already. |

I don't know why everyone's ripping on this CD. I loved it. They also have another full-length CD and a demo CD. They all kick ass. |

Just listened to their second album?, "Tasteless Serenade" on mp3.com and it blows away "Up Yours!" Didn't even know this existed. These guys are like a heavier version of Faster Pussycat with sleazy vocals, heavy riffs and X-Rated lyrics.I would recommend anyone that likes this music to check it out.Where can i get this??? |

I really did'nt think it was that bad....not the greatest..but, i've heard a lot worse. |

This one is all right. They kind of remind me of Tattooed Love Boys. So if you don't like TLB you probably won't like this. Toward the early 90's there were tons of bands that had this kind of sound. Sleaze glam with a punkish attitude but the songwriting was only so so. |

Don't remember hearing of slingshot kitty till just recently,Bad timing for this type of band. |
From: Geoff | Date: September 14, 2004 at 3:13 |
The name suggested I'd like them, and I actually heard the contrary to reports here when I was after it. I was told it was a glam gem. Unfortunately the accounts here are far more accurate. Not the best CD I ever heard, but a glam CD that can't even get one song etched in your head ain't worth my while. It's not a complete waste of time, but it's not a good album by any means. Poor glam hard rock. Disappointing... |

Hey all, former bassist from Slingshot here. Just googled my old band for fun and found this site. Thanks for all the comments, good and bad. Production on this album was piss poor due to lack of funding from our record company, (I paid for 90% on my credit card!) I still believe the songs were good and if you had a chance to see us live back then, you may think the same. Disbanded now. I'm lovin life in Las Vegas and working on new glam projects. Email to find out more. stpayne91@msn.com |

Chalk full of attitude and lust, much like the sleazy side of early Poison crossed with the attitude and sound of McQueen Street and just the attitude of early Motley Crue. Production is on the low side, the songwriting isn't great and the singing might be an acquired taste, but I didn't stay bored too long with Keith's libido on vox. Overall nothing outstanding here, but I think 'All Of The Night' is a killer sleaze track with a 'Twist of Cain' type Danzig riff with some super lyrics. 5/10 |
