This "tribute" stinks up any room. the only songs worth having are the Garth Brooks and the Anthrax cuts. Tributes can be good but this is not even a tribute, jsut a bunch of folks that wish they had some kind of talent. |

Leave it to the egomaniacs in Kiss to put together a tribute album to themselves. Most of it absolutely sucks. Garth surprisingly did a respectable job on his track, and of course Anthrax can do no wrong. The rest is a big steaming pile of dook. |

I am a big KISS fan but this tribute album is just totaly shit. Dont buy it if not you will die ha ha ha. I nearly got killed buying this album. Only for people that dont know nothing about hard rock or heavy metal. |

Above reviews are right on. Truly horrible!! A vinyl testimony to Kiss desperately trying to be hip and failing miserably. Did they actually think a Dinosaur Jr. fan was going to check this out??? Purely a marketing ploy by Mr. Simmons to try to gain relevance with the grunge/alternative crowd at the expense of these great songs. Anthrax and Gin Blossom's versions are listenable but that's it. An embarassment you'll listen to once and never touch again!!! And I love Kiss man but this sux! |

..............But then again, It would be sad if the bands played just like KISS. ....RIGHT. They each paid tribute to one of the most influential bands in the world. In their own way. Its NOT a bad album. Its NOT great either. Its just a bunch og bands expressing themselves. Using KISS as a guideline. |

I thought this was pretty enoyable. We've all heard the original KISS songs about a thousand times, so it was interesting to hear the changes these bands did. Toad The Wet Sprocket's slowed-down version of "Rock n Roll All Nite" was pretty damn creative! Due to label politics some of the bands that were supposed to be on this weren't. I remember Madonna, Stone Temple Pilots, and Megadeth specifically but there were a few others as well. |

The only tunes I liked on this was the classical/new age version of "Black Diamond" by Yoshiki and Anthrax's version of "She". The rest sucked ass. Got it for a buck and still felt ripped off. Garth Brooks? Blechhhhhhh. |

I dig the Anthrax version of 'She' and the Extreme take on Strutter. The rest of the record I can take it or leave it. 5.5/10. JK |
