My favorite Love/Hate cd. This is one of those albums where every song is so good, it's hard to pick a favorite. Definitely recommended.

I still like the first better, but this does have some awesome tunes on it. As far as tunes, I think I like "Times Up" the best, but there are some real close seconds...definitely a solid release, too bad they got completely inconsistent after this.

This album is killer!!! Not as good as their debut but awesome just the same. "Happy Hour" is one of their best songs.

Wasted...is great,the best album of Love/Hate.Yucca Man is the song. That's my opinion.

a classic album..the only song i didn't like was their song 'don't fuck with me'..;the message was good but the song for me was a filler among killers..i used to program this cd so i wouldn't hear that tune..anyway, SOME OF THE BEST rock n roll songs ever are on this cd.. check out 'miss america', 'happy hour','wasted in america' and 'social sidewinder'..love/hate is the sort of band that should have been huge but they weren't...but for me they are one of the best american rock n roll bands ever

Not as strong as the first, but still an essential album for fans of sleazy rock. The titles track and "Happy Hour" are the best tunes here. 9/10

The first seven songs on this one are probably the artistic pinnacle of sleaze metal, period. There's not one band in this genre that I can think of that even ATTEMPTS the kind of mind-scrambling stuff going on here. Wild, uncontainable creative mindfuck of the highest order. Criminally underrated to boot. Too bad Jizzy jumped ship to the lesser Ratt. We could use this kind of stuff NOW!

As most people here agree, this was not quite as good as the debut but is in no way a disappointment. Another great CD and very close to the excellence of the debut. Good band back in the day.

For years I virtually ignored this release, not having gotten much out of it the first time around. Strange that I wouldn't give it more of a chance given that "Blackout" continues to be a Top 10 for me. I recently dusted off this tape and HOLY CRAP, what an amazing effort. Now I concur with most in that Wasted fails to match Blackout in pure energy and punch. But the maturity of wasted's songs is top notch, a true bridge between glam and grunge. "Don't Fuck With Me" sucks however.

Being more objective about my comment way back in 2007 this album at first listening blew my mind,yes it did,but after a couple of spins more i realize that this album could be fantastic to some (like it did to me in 2007) but honestly it has its low moments... tracks rather than great ones is what we really have in here ("Wasted In America","Miss America","Time's Up" & "Evil Twin")... if we are talking favorites then the ones that i really enjoyed were "Spit" which is awesome,"Cream" & "Tramquilizer"....not actually 100/100 but rather a 88/100

their debut was much better.this one is still sleazy in some placesbut the bad thing is that some songs are too close to alternative sounding rock. my faves: wasted in america, don't f... with me, evil twhin and social sidewinder.

Looking back, it seems like if they hadn't been so closely associated with the Sunset Strip scene, Love/Hate might--MIGHT--have been one of those eccentric metal bands that end up being embraced as much, if not more, by non-metal fans. Kinda the way Faith No More, Queens of the Stone Age and Mastodon all wound up as critics' darlings by not doing the predictable, expected thing for a metal band at the time. Love/Hate don't really sound like any of the big names of the day, although they would seem to have many of the same ingredients, after experimenting with different styles in their earliest days (starting as an electronic dance band and toying with goth). Wasted In America is wildly inventive, despite Jizzy Pearl's claim that they were getting rich and lazy after the relative success of the first album. Seems like mor eof this album is set in a major key than the first, which might seem to be at odds with the hardcore sleaze of some of the lyrics.

And sleazy they are, singing about smoking dope, getting drunk, fucking a chick in a garbage-filled alley, and hanging from somebody's tenth-floor balcony. Even the acoustic-strummed plea for mutual tolerance is put in street-level terms: "DOn't fuck with me, and I won't fuck with you." And then, you get the unabashed, pure sweetness of "Miss America," the band revisiting the theme of the troubled-but-precious young girl from "(She's An) Angel." Really the only song I don't care for is "Don't Be Afraid," but my favorites are the glorious title track, the aforementioned "Miss America," the sleazoid delights of "Spit," "Cream" "Tranquilizer," and "Time's Up."

a clear masterpiece once again for LOVE HATE that manage to combine their sleaze attitude with the success and everything else that a commercial success means!the production &the sound is excellent and as professional as it gets and the musicianship isd truly outstanding!there are no fillers and i really cant think some other band sounds similar to these guys back in the day!LOVE HATE are one of my alltime fav bands and neers of the hard rock genre that put their mark on the 90 s scene

"don't ask me why things are the way they are they just are"... seemingly disparate musical elements form together to create this bastard son of a band and album and it works. These words ring true for both this album and Blackout. Lightning did strike twice for Love/Hate (3 times IMHO). Mmmmaybe with a bit more linear(?) in terms of songwriting and performances this time around. More cohesive? Yes, but no. More mature? Yes, but no. More smarter? Yes, but no. More Crazy? Yes, but no. Better than Blackout? Yes, but no. You can hit random on this sucker and land on a tour de force.

Another solid album! The 1st album is definitely a classic and this one doesn't quite reach it's level but it comes damn close.
