One of my fave Canadian releases!Musically, Midpoint is straight ahead, 80s style hard rock. The lead singer brings to mind Steve Plunkett of Autograph. It's a true shame there are only 6 tunes here, as I really enjoy this release.Tracks 1 & 2 are the big stand-outs for me,& I plan on featuring 'Tangled Web' as a 'Download of the Month' on my website very soon!A guy by the name of Harry Hess engineered & helped with the mixing on this one.You can usually pick this one up cheap,so give it a try!

I'm a big Harem Scarem fan and I had this....it sucks! Lazy production, lifeless songs and not a thing like any project Harry Hess had a hand in should sound like. Avoid!

I have this with a much better cover - an awesome wave and an upraised hand - surf's up dude! Anyway, while I think there are quite a few fillers for an EP, the first two tracks are outstanding and worth it alone. The rest is okay, but check out the first two tracks - awesome Harem Scarem influenced stuff.

Got the cooler cover with the hand/wave added tonight! The first two tracks are indeed worth the price of admission for this CD, and IMO, the 2 ballads, 'Heartbeat Away' & 'Missing You Again' aren't bad either. This was one of those CDs that I picked up for a few bucks on a whim, and was VERY pleasantly surprised!

Average EP NOT BAD some good moments 76/100 but some strange stuff like the out of key guitar solo in'tangled web'or the cheap keyboard saxophon sound in'heartbeat away' Great backing vocals ,the singer is very GOOD and the sound is OK i'am really splitted on this one !Try it if you like CANADIAN melodic hard rock (HAREM SCAREM/ANXIETY/HONEYMOON SUITE) and if you get it cheap

Very good hard rock release, unfortunately I can't understand the yellow ridiculous 1994 press,I must looking for the first self-released press because the artwork is very good, really a shame!!!9/10 to the music,0/10 to the yellow artwork.

An excellent melodic rock CD that was engineered by Harry Hess of HAREM SCAREM fame. This CD encompasses a cool mix of high class AOR in the vein of HELIX and the rest of the slick boys, to the traditional melodic hard rock sound like early HAREM SCAREM and EMERALD RAIN.

excellent ep release for MIDPOINT from Canada through the fine Magada records and with the valuable help of Harry Hess !their sound is very close to DOKKEN and will satisfy all 80s hard rockers ,even though it could be slightly better .as the band seems to had potential!"tangled web" is a great song!recommended
