'One night is not enough' is a great melodic hard rock ballad and there are some cool hard rockers here. Once again, I'd not rave to the wolves about it, but it's a pretty good hard rock CD. Great musicianship and a very solid sound.

From: M. Allen Date: November 29, 2004 at 13:31
Yummy! This is some tasty melodic hard rock, served up by the superb guitars of Joshua Perahia. There is some Christianese sprinkled in the lyrics, but the band doesn't pile on the religion heavy-handedly, opting to just deliver a cool melodic hard rock CD. The hooks are sharp enough to draw blood and the choruses, while not over-the-top bombastic, are still catchy enough to sink into your ears and make you remember them. Not quite a masterpiece, but an album well worth owning.

I hate to bash...but this is just plain bad.

From: ROB GARCIA Date: December 10, 2004 at 13:02
sorry guys!! but i have to agree with jadeR on this one.i mean i love the joshua records very much as they are full of bombastic rock songs that very few could match but this....c'mon guys this is a joke! the worst thing the man has ever released, totally unispired melodic rock that is going nowhere as far as im concerned.avoid at all costs...thats my opinion!.

From: metalguf Date: April 17, 2006 at 12:39
Geoff! I am completely agree with you. A wonderful band, and "One Night Is Not Enough" is one of the best ballads ever!. In the same vein of Farrcry "I'll be the one". Michael O'Mara sings awesome, wonderful voice, and without any doubt..... This is a MUST HAVE!!!! WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!!!!

I listened to it once and nothing really stood out

Average release. Not utterly bad, but nothing to write home about.

From: illimey Date: November 20, 2007 at 1:58
Wow... don't understand how a fan of any melodic rock fails to absolutely adore this album. It's all great, but Steady Weapon, Tears of Joy and Devil's River are up there with the best songs of the genre. A definite 10/10 [or 96/100, depending on the scale!]

From: rallen399 Date: March 4, 2012 at 20:44
One of the best and most powerful voices in all of rock n roll. This is one of the most complete albums I own a definite must.Mark O'Mara has been in a couple of other bands Talon and VFX,both bands are good but don't have anything close to the near perfection of this album.98/100.

From: rallen399 Date: March 4, 2012 at 20:46
Correction the singers name is Michael not Mark (Mark Omara is a friend of mine) brain fart.oops

From: hair metal again Date: November 3, 2017 at 12:59
excellent hard rock release and i totally agree with Geoff and M Allen plus i want to state the sensational lead vocals!"one night is not enough","bad man ",'tears of joy' and "devil s river " are great songs indeed!great stuff here!

From: Auslander Date: March 3, 2021 at 20:38
This album is basically another vehicle for the shredder Joshua Perahia. Why he changed his band name from Joshua to M Pire is not known to me. If you liked his previous albums "The Hand is Quicker than the Eye" or "Surrender" you would probably like this one too. Although I think both those albums are better than this one. Some decent tracks as mentioned above by other reviews but nothing really essential. 73/100.
