Wow, didnt expect to find this band here. Hey, maybe i'll find another Aussie 80's band, Uncanny X-men here too!! 80's pop in H.H. Mmmmm. Anyway, Geisha's s/t 1'st album was the better choice, or go for the best of cd (after only 2 albums?????). Still some good tunes on this one. Tracks 1,4,5,7 & 10 would be the pick of the crop. |

Geisha was a popular 80īs Aussie band and scored 8 Australian Top 10 singles between 1985 and 1987, reaching number 1 on the charts with the song "Kabuki". "Midnight To Dawn" is their 2nd album, itīs a Pop stuff with a bit of AOR flavour and a quality production. "Part Time Love Affair" and "Calling Your Name" are good ones. If you like pop bands like Duran Duran/Icehouse/Big Country (just to name a few) youīll like this. 7.5/10 |

Jejeje...C'omon Andi is not that bad ...but you are quite right in mentioning Cutting Crew and add to that Icehouse(mostly like Icehouse) as similar bands...tracks "Beauty In Montion","Part Time Love Affair","Girl Like You"(Bonus) & "Slow Boat To Nowhere"(Bonus,AORish) are my faves...tracks "Normal People","Calling Your Name"( ) & "Shining Star" are the catchy dancing ones...neither hot nor cold album...you gonna like it or hate it according to the state of your mood(Icehouse is ten thousand times better than this anyway)...78/100 |
