Wish they had some more of the early stuff on this album. It is almost like Bite Down Hard

From: WidoMakr Date: January 20, 2002 at 6:06
Agree with u James...mostly a rehash of third album....the first 2

Agree with u James...mostly a rehash of third album....the first 2 WERE BY FAR better than the third....NO ONE compares to Dizzy Dean Davidson on vocals....quote the WidoMakr....never more

From: TIM Date: May 2, 2002 at 16:52
Hey WidoMakr, is the Goodbye to Dean any good? I've been thinking about getting it.

From: WidoMakr Date: May 2, 2002 at 18:25
Tim...in a word no....its not bad but if what u crave is the ass kickin sound of BF then u will be dissapointed...imo...and in regards to songs...Rock Revolution and Angel in my Heart are 2 of the most have to turn to volume 11 songs ever sang...Dizzy Dean a Steve Perry he aint.. but this guys throws 1100f himself into the first 2 albums..his later stuff to me has lost some of the edge...and dont let me talk about the third BF album...Quote the WidoMakr....never more

From: WidoMakr Date: May 2, 2002 at 18:32
Tim...here are a few bands that I think you would like: Icon Fifth Angel Wildside...only the first cd! Hurricane Lion Autograph...any of them are great Extreme..only the 1st 2 cds's Kix...Midnight Dynamite & Blow your Fuse are the best ones XYZ Rhett Forrester ...even the score is a very good CD..Assume the Position is a clasic tune.. damn i can go on and on...Sorry to possibly insult your intelligence if u know/heard about these guys already...Quote the Widomakr....never more

From: TIM Date: May 2, 2002 at 21:16
Don't worry, I'm not insulted. I like your taste in music though because I own or have owned all of these. I've never heard the 2nd Wildside, and don't plan to based on the reports.

From: TIM Date: May 2, 2002 at 21:21
By the way, I love Dizzy's voice even though he doesn't sound like Steve. As a matter of fact, I don't think Steve Augeri does either. On the other hand, I don't think Steve Perry could lay down the sleaze like Dizzy does. I do love his delivery even though it may not have sounded like that earlier. BF and Cinderella are 2 of my fav's.

From: dokken6008 Date: May 9, 2002 at 4:41
Man WidoMakr, I disagree. I love, I mean LOVE 'Hot Wire' which I consider to this day Kix's best album of all-time. The production is fantastic, all of the songs are excellent and it is in my top-ten music hall-of-fame. The title-track ('Hot Wire') is one of my favorite rockers of all-time, 'Rock & Roll Overdose', 'Girl Money', 'Hee Bee Jee Bee Crush', etc., etc.--they all kick total ass. Anybody that does not currently own Kix's 1991 cd, 'Hot Wire', go out & buy it a.s.a.p.

Im not a huge fan of live albums, but this one really stands out. Great production and instrument utilization, and vocals. I also agree with some of the previous comments about this album where people say its the second coming of Bite Down Hard, pretty much all the songs are on the live album. But if you like live albums then definatly give this one a try.

From: Gar Date: August 25, 2002 at 21:05
I too wish there was more of the earlier material on this cd, but its still a great album. It retains the live sound without being overproduced or sounding like a bootleg. They did a great job with this.

From: jarett r. Date: October 18, 2002 at 4:11
michael kelly smith were both in both cinderella and britney fox.

Johnny Dee turned 39 years old on Sunday April 6th 2003. Can you believe he is that old? WOW!

From: Jason Date: April 20, 2003 at 11:32
Micheal Kelly Smith and Tony Destra (BF original drummer before Johnny Dee were both in Cinderella and Britny Fox together.

i think that it is a greit one and i'll have you any day. lot's of love Glenn

From: Trick Taylor Date: October 6, 2004 at 9:16
Found this one fer cheap. I'm not sure how much of this slickster is actually "live". All the background vocals have been overdubbed (no way this band sounds like this live on "Closer to Your Love"). Nonetheless it is enjoyable. Tommy Paris has some impressive pipes and the songs still hold up. Some of the lyrics are moronic, but so were the crushed velvet pants back in the day. "Black & White" and "Over and Out" are standouts. Worth a buck or two.

From: cook_jaime Date: February 7, 2005 at 14:28
I agree with Trick Taylor. If the lead and background vocals weren't seriously overdubbed on this album then I will shoot myself for not seeing these guys yet!!! The album does sound great though.

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 15, 2005 at 19:41
Pretty solid live album here! Like everyone else has posted here though, too many songs from Bite Down Hard.I know it was Tommy's album, but hey 1 song from Boys In Heat? That album was killer! This was kind of a reunion of sorts, so a bit more from the whole catalogue would have been nice. But the sound and vibe of the show are cool, and it did get me listening to Britny Fox again. 7.5/10....

A new cool Live CD with raw power.

From: rene Date: May 29, 2005 at 15:39
I agree with Sven, a realy good live album. Love it.

From: headbanger4life Date: December 27, 2005 at 2:51
One of the better live albums I've heard. Tommy really does a good job the earlier material that was originally sung by Dean. A nice mix of all three albums are on this one.

From: caritosmatanza Date: January 26, 2006 at 22:12

From: edwithmj Date: August 19, 2008 at 18:09
This is one of the best live albums out there. I'm glad most of the songs are from their third album as that was their best! They picked the best three early songs too. The guitars, the vocals are all very loud and I'm glad i got this album. Girlschool and Long Way To Love are done to an excellent standard. 9/10
