| The grunge era was not more stupid than the LA Glam era. What is stupid is the fact that people need mood to decide what they have to listen to. There are good things and bad things in every existing styles. Nobody forces you to be a cow or to reject a style entirely. I like Grunge, I like Stoner, I like blues, I like Pop music, I like Glam and so many other things you can fit into a determined style... Wherever you classify Backyard Babies, they are ver very very good. Sweden rules the rock now

| I don't like the last two albums these guys have done, they've basically just gone total punk (not my thing at all), but here it's non-stop sleaze glam. Throw Faster Pussycat, The Throbs, Cats in Boots and Shotgun Messiah into a blender and you'd probably get something resembling this. Awesome album... they're very different now; they're no longer the long-haired, leather jackets and cowboy boots-wearing wannabe LA rockers seen here, so glam fans be careful, but definately check out Total 13.

| I don't agree with the "total punk" comment- they've always had a slight punk vibe going anyway. The new stuff is just an extension of what they used to do. Hell- they used to do Social Distortion and Misfit covers right from the beginning. One of the tunes on the new album is called "Friends" and is a total sleaze anthem with guest vocals from Tyla(Dogs Damour) and Michael Monroe(Hanoi Rocks) As far as the look-90% of the people who used to have long hair don't anymore. 9/10

| What happens with their other albums, they have edited more albums than this one. I haven't heard this album but I have their Total 13 and it's fuckin' awesome. It's very sleaze and glam influenced. They sound a bit punk rock too but so did GNR when they appeared (remember songs like Reckless life or You're Crazy). Also look for their album "Safety Pin and Leopard skin" in wich they do a cover of the song "Babylon" from Faster Pussycat. They also have a single co-written by Michael Monroe.

| The cover of Faster Pussycat's Babylon can also be found, mixed (quite well, actually) with Beastie Boys' Fight for your Right to Party, as a hidden bonus cut at the end of Total 13.

| Must be just on an american release then Lycan as i have the UK version and there is no bonus tracks at the end of Robber Of Life on Total 13 mate. Loved Backyard Babies!!!

| I don't get the Guns-N-Roses comparisons. There's nothing about these guys that make them as good as G-N-R. they don't have the attitude or the talent that G-N-R had. Pretty uneventful music here folks.

| When I said "total punk" I misphrased that, I meant they've changed their sound for a more modern pop-punk influence sound, like The Wildhearts have geared towards too. I love old punk stuff like The Vibrators, but a chunk of the material on Stockholm Syndrome (tho Enemies had its moments) just felt like modern commercial pop-punk. As for the comment on their looks; was just trying to be more descriptive in my comment on how they did a near 180 degree change after this record to inform new fans.
