It`s a very good US Indie release. I agree with metalhead, they sound like a lighter version of bonfire or simular to last cry. They also brought out the one track single Merry Christmas to the World plus acousic version fom 1993. I think, that`s their best song ever. If you have the chance to get them, then grab them!

This band came from right here in my hometown of Utica, NY. Bob Aquaviva is a legend on the local music scene here. Owns His own studio and produced many albums and singles for many local bands. He was the main songwriter on this release. If you ever see any CDs, cassettes or albums by a band named Mere Mortals, get 'em! That was Bob's band before this and in my humble opinion, they were a better band. Look for an album with a song called 'Laura Said'. That is a great song.

jfox66 , sorry - you have it all wrong. tony touris wrote every word and note of music on the big plans album and all other touris songs. but your rite, mere mortals is also a great band fron cny...

Sorry about the misinformation about the songwriting but, I don't have it all wrong. Bob Aquaviva is a legend here. Before Mere Mortals, He was in Luftwaffe and they ruled the local hard rock scene here in the early '80s, which was the heyday of music in the Utica area. It's a very sad scene now. Back then, there were at least 30 bands performing in this area, now... ? Rock has been replaced by Rap and Easy Listening in this area.

BUT! That is about to change! Bob Aquaviva is coming back with a new band along with Ian from Sweet Cheetah (remember them, Kelly). The name of this new beast is 33 HURTZ and they'll be hitting the local scene toward the end of April. Just spoke to Bob this morning and the band will be performing tunes from both the Luftwaffe and Mere Mortals era. Watch for this 'cuz ROCK N' ROLL's Coming back to the Utica area in a big way! I personally can't wait and plan to be at the first show.

I found Touris to be an average AOR/Rock band. The songs are a little on the light side for my taste with some wonderful guitar playing. My fave songs are Tonight, Sweet home, All For One, Dreams, and Couldn't Love You More. I bought mine for $10.00 but can't see someone or anyone paying more than $30.00 for this one. If you like Journey, Survivor, Storm, Two Fires then this is up your alley. I rate this cd 6/10.

must say.can't see any journey survivor or the storm here.as all these bands are gods in this music.and although i like this cd.they're no way near as good.early bon jovi is what you get here.plain and simple.

Let's not forget that Touris also tore up Watertown, NY in the 90's! Watertown hasn't seen a band like this since! Hope they're all are doing well! The memories and the MUSIC are priceless.

This cd Rocks! Joe Fanelli still does sound for most of the major gigs around here, he's a great guy. I used to hang out with this group, back in 1991-92. And I agree, they were a lot like Journey. Good ballads. Too bad they don't play anymore.

Predictable album, nothing really outstanding and that's obviously because the singer is kinda weak,it doesn't inject the edge needed 4 the songs but wait!...is not completely a waste, the album has some moments..."Touch 'N Love" is a nice ballad and the AORish "I'm Sorry" are good ones..then another possible goodies or may i say acceptable songs are "Tonight","Sweet Home","Big Plans"Our Hearts" & "Don't Grow Up Too Fast"....83/100

I remember this album as a big piece of....nothing(I don't want to be vulgar). One of the worst production ever heard, the singer was a big zero.I respect rick kerch vzla comment, maybe I should hear it again...??
