yeah, this is a pretty good release if you ask me..the guitarwork reminds me of ratt and ronnie sure can sing..Check out 'cannibalistic love (my favorite song on this cd' and 'sex emotion' that combines the best of firehouse and ratt. This is one of those talented bands that surfaced with their album years after the big bang of melodic highlights like we experienced in the late 80's, early 90's..get this |

Good news Tomcat, Metal Mayhem are in the process of releasing a new album from these guys!! Lets hope it's not like their second album! |

Wow, surprised with the low score for this one. Obviously not the greatest album of all time, this is still pretty good and very solid hard rock. As noted, 'Cannabalistic love' is a killer song, and elsewhere there's enough big riffs and cool 80's styled hard rock tunes to keep the listener entertained surely enough for at least a passing result... 6 or 7, maybe 6.5 / 10. |

This band released a second album in 2001 called The Santa Clara Syndicate. STEER CLEAR! Talk about a band going from 80's style rock right into grunge! Yuck! I can't believe that a band that showed this much promise would jump on that bandwagon. Actually only the lead singer is on the second album. What a bunch of crap. Metal Mayhem should hold their head low for releasing such a horrible album. My cd is now a coaster. I don't even think it is worthy as a coaster..... |

Kick ass CD...awesome melodic hard rock. Kinda like Lillian Axe meets Motley Crue. Really good stuff. They were known as Trixie and then changed the name to Amsterdam. Not much about them online either, just at www.metalmayhemmusic.com |

I got the original at this Santa Cruz, CA pawn shop....anyone know anything about it? I had the reissue first, so this was extra killer when I found it. RIP IT UP!!!! |

Actually Ronnie is still fronting Trixie and put out a new album recently under that moniker. Good album called Lift You Up. Alot more in the Motley-Lep vein than this release. I quite enjoy this one although it is not that memorable. Just good 80's style rock. Expect nothing more or nothing less. |

El grupo está mas cercano a lo que hacía Motley Crue, por la voz y la música tambien. Núnca fuí muy fan de los motley. Está bueno pero nada que me haya gustado sobremanera. Para Fans de los Motley y esa línea. 7/10 |

excellent hair metal release by AMSTERDAM and i m tellin ya that this is a serious grower!first impression is just ok but if you give it some spins you ll realize this is a fine piece of commercial hard rock ,with great riffs, excellent vocals and big second vocs!it reminds me of Skid Row or Sven Gali i dsay but nthe only problem is that i can t find any big songs !"cannibalistic love","sex emotion" and "infatuation" are the highlights of this great release! |
