This is my least favorite D.L. album. Very heavy, angry and dark. 'Hole' is probably my fav off this. You can tell they were trying to follow the 'in crowd' metal bands of the time. This is unfortunate because it would be their last release before calling it quits. Henrik would later go on to play guitar but not sing in a band called 'Burning Orange' which released 1 album 'TAAR' which was nothing like D.L. Much heavier. |

I don't know who it was that mixed this album, but who ever it was, it must have been their first time ever! It sounds soooooo muddy, it's hard to even lissen too. Blue T. 'hole' is a really good song, but I think the best one on the album has to be 'Last Crack'. Lissen to that one again and tell me what you think! |

I had this album playing while I wrote the review. It gives me a headache to tell you the truth. Quality of it sounds like your hearing it while underwater. 'Last Crack'...fitting song title for the last song of the last D.L. album to be made. I had heard an indie label was going to release a live album in '98 but unfortunatly that fell through. |

From: MButt | Date: March 16, 2003 at 15:57 |
hey Tim, a few weeks ago it hit $100 on ebay, don't ask me why. |

I think I saw that one now that I think about it. I was trying to find a pic for this one but the one on there isn't suitable. |

Is the album IN YOUR FACE a new or semi new release, possibly an idie, anyone know??? |
From: Blue Tequila | Date: May 15, 2003 at 14:15 |
In Your Face was released in 1987 before Cool From the Wire and contains 10 tracks, 5 of which also appeared on Cool From the Wire. I've never seen or heard this album so I don't know If it's a bunch of demos or if the songs are different versions of the ones on Cool. Jason (FA - Q) might have more info on it. Very rare--I know it was released on vinyl but I'm |

In Your Face was an indie release that was only ever officially released on tape. The cover was black with a pink Dirty Looks logo. It was this tape and their growing popularity in the East Coast that got the attention of Atlantic Records. The songs on Cool from the Wire that also appear on In Your Face are different. The originals are raunchier, heavier, and actually quite good for an indie. Excellent tape if you can find a copy. |

Agree that 'Hole' is a decent track, will listen to 'Last Crack' again...like others said, it's so heavy and dark that it's hard to listen to it all at once. Can't believe it sells for that much on ebay now! May have to unload my DL stash on there before long. |

This one is for diehard collectors only, it won't gain any 'new' fans. As diehards we can find 1 to maybe 3 tracks to listen to on this release. As such, it's worth it to own for guys like me. But it Would be nice to see them come roaring back with somethign close to '5 Easy Pieces'. |

From 95 - 97, Mike Smith (yes, from Limp Bizkit!) was Henrik Ostergaards lead guitarist (Rumble dog - drowing pool in '95, Slave to the machine and Burning orange - taar in '96, and Burning orange - new white naked ep in '97 |

One of only 2 Dirty Looks discs I don't own, but by the sounds of it I probably won't bother tracking it down. They were certainly a very good band though. |
