Cuando en Argentina,nadie tenìa idea de la existencia de la NWOBHM, Pappo,recièn llegado de Inglaterra se descolgò con una banda plenamente influenciada por aquella corriente.Con un estilo muy cercano a lo que era Saxon aquellos dìas,Riff entrega una dosis de un heavy metal no demasiado original aunque contundente,tal cual serìan los discos subsiguientes,los que harìan de Riff una banda de culto.A pesar de la pobre producciòn el resultado es muy digno. 7.50/10 carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

El primer álbum ("Ruedas de metal", 1981) contó con una amplia difusión, no solamente en radios, sino también a través de TV. su primer show en Obras tuvo lugar en diciembre de 1981, en la presentación de "Macadam...", el segundo disco. Ya para entonces el pelo largo, las ropas de cuero y las tachas eran distintivos de la banda, así como la agresividad hacia el resto de los músicos. Allí comenzó la violencia que caracterizó a este grupo. krisglam@hotmail.com
