If you're into keyboard dominated melodic rock, then this is one bunch you'll need to track down. The Zinatra like keyboard attack can be heard on the superb 'Keep On Rollin'. Love this one! Mind you, the next track 'One Way To Rock' is cool too, big keyboard layers and cutting guitars! And where would we be without a ballad on an album like this? Well thankfully Mystery deliver us 'Forever', full of ambient pianos and stirring lyrics. Fantastic stuff!! AOR Freaky and Freddy would love this. |

Yes, I love this, and it's even from my own country, Belgium, not exactly known as a great rock country ! But these guys did it right. Look also out for a new great Belgian project called 'Frozen Rain' from Kurt Vereecke ! Fantastic keyboard dominated stuff ! I some label would sign him now (even Tommy Denander is involved on guitar !). Check it out on the Frozen Rain website ! |

A lot of hype surrounds this CD and you will see it spoken of highly when it comes up for sale. I don't think it's amazing, but can understand that fans of keyboard orientated rock would enjoy. 'Please don't leave me now' is a cool melodic rocker and elsewhere it's a good CD, but more in a direction of AOR I'm not too keen about. Decent, but again not a fave of mine. |

The land of mystery and Keep on rollin' are superb songs. This is a very good album. Also check out the second one, it's not as good as this one but still great. Rating: 8,5 |

Very recommentable album . My favourite song on it "The land of mystery" reminds on BAD HABIT while the superp "Forever" and "Please don't leave.." could be written by R. VALENTINE. The last track "Fata morgana" makes me think of a fusion between RAINBOW and Y. MALMSTEEN. I agree that the rockiest track "Keep on rollin'" plus the "One way to rock" are very good too. Overall the album reminds me on SKAGARACKs "Hungry for a game" Cd as well (keys) or STORMWINGs "s/t" (song structure). 8,95/10 |

Weren't they from Belgim and formed by the aches from the great Metal band,Ostrogoth? No?! |

This album is amazing IMO,the rightest comparison I think it's with 1st Avenue band. The second one is another very good cd but far from the debut in style, more energic pure hard rock with any kind of keys who dominate here.... |

''Please Don't Leave Me Now'' God what a song!!!!!! A very overlooked Melodic Hard Rock/AOR GEM that is essential for every respective fan. Go Get it as soon as it is available! 95/100 |
From: Japangea | Date: July 20, 2008 at 4:26 |
Ex-Ostrogoth - Crossfire singer,Peter De Wint, does a very good job on this melodic gem. It's definitely like Giuffria in sound with a touch of Scandinavians like Treat and Skagarack. |

This is an album of those I don't know if to keep them or to give them away.. "The land of mystery" is a very good song near SKAGARACK's best songs (on their first 2 albums) but the next one "Please don't leave me now" reminds me on a nursery rhyme. The refrain and als the keyboard is so tutling, it's anoying as if a little boy makes his first ever keyboard experiences. "Eclipse" is a nice instrumental in the vain of SKAGARACK's "Dreaming" or McAuley SG's "There has to be another way" or Y.MALMSTEEN's "Brothers" just to mention the first 3 tracks. --So it's a very cheesy ("Forever")and a "wanna be a cool guy" ("Keep on rollin'") album at the most times. |

skagarack is one of the best hard fm band of the history.how can you see anything in common with mystery.when you listen 2 minutes of this cd s you know immediatly that mystery is a very little band a second zone band without any interest.forget this poor cd s. |
From: newscandi | Date: May 29, 2009 at 17:36 |
The MYSTERY-s/t album is DEFINITIVELY one of them which you need to have in your collection if you wanna have all the best european melodickrock stuff together ! No second meaning. It might, of course, not be everyone's favourite taste - but that's another question. But saying this is not SKAGARACK like -at least at lots of times- is incorrect. |
