A good compilation for those who want to have a good idea of helix without buying all of their CDs. Pretty much their best songs to date at this point. |

I agree. This one has their best songs as well as a few unreleased tracks. If you only want to buy one HELIX album, get this one. |

These guys were always perpetually stuck in that "second tier" of popular 80's band a la Y&T, Black N Blue, and Wasp. Could never quite get over that hump. Should've though based on the music alone. Very much went to the AC/DC school of rock-n-roll but also deliverd some killer ballads. I agree with the above reviewers in that this is a great place to start to check these guys out. A year later though these guys would release their best ballad "Good To The Last Drop". |

Had to order this CD last week and it was sweet music to my ears to hear this band again. Canada's answer to AC/DC. Disc has 3 unreleased songs. Listen to the song 'Give It To You'. The song and background vocals sound like AC/DC. Recommendation: Get it! Two thumbs up! |

A great collection. The only way you can do better is to buy the whole cd 'No Rest for the Wicked' and 'Walkin' the Razor's Edge'. Since that is near impossible..buy this! One of my prized cd's right here. Helix was a very underrated rock n roll band. |

It is a bit ironic that while the picture on the cover of this album is taken from the Wild in the Streets tour, there is not one song representing that great album. They would have added to this collection with the title cut, Dream On and High Voltage Kicks. There is some great rock off that album. This is a worthy effort though. It gets played quite often at my house. |

This is good, because I don't love these guys and won't seek out their albums, but I quite like this collection here. 'Give it to You' is cool 80's hard rock, 'Deep Cuts the Knife' is a brilliant commercial balladic track, 'Never Wanna Lose You' is nice, 'Without You' had me singing along the first time I heard it and is awesome, 'Make Me Do Anything You Want' is another wonderful ballad, and overall it's good consistent hard rock and really all I need from these guys. |

What we've got here is a hellacious helping of hotblooded hard rock. While most of Helix's albums contain more than their fair share of filler, you don't run into that problem on this collection, which pretty much consists of all their best songs, the ones worth playing over and over again. And clocking in at 72+ minutes, this thing lasts longer than most celebrity marriages. |

This time I think metalmaniac777 was quite right and even a little funny This is one of the very best kickass have some fun beer drinking albums ever imo! If you like Kix, ACDC, classic Aerosmith & Kiss and such style rock n roll, you can't go wrong with Helix. This is a very good collection with killer songs from start to finish, incl all hits from 83-85. Whenever I have a party, or want to be in a good mood, some of these songs are in my playlist. Underrated band even though they had a few gold records during this time. Rockin' You For 30 Years (from 2004) has a fresher remastering, also a stellar best of disc, but I really love Over 60 Minutes With Helix since it includes no less than 21 good 80s Helix songs. Get them both Also Vagabond Bones is brilliant, what a nice surprise! |

Okay, NOW I'm posting on the right CD. You can file this one along with Black 'n Blue's "Ultimate Collection" or Coney Hatch's "Best Of Three." All were bands that were moderately successful circa 1984, but had only a short time of popularity, some cool tunes, but lots of filler. As with the other compilations I named, "Over 60 Minutes" is all the Helix the average bear needs. |
