Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Helix CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Helix are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

There's both good and bad on this album. The 1st half is pretty good then it's downhill from there. |

This "best of" CD showcases exactly why HELIX is considered one of the greatest hard rock bands to come out of Canada. With guitars as big as their hair, crunchy power-hooks, catchy choruses, and plenty of gang-vocal punch, HELIX is a prime example of what made the 80s metal scene so great. |

I CAN THINK OF AT LEAST 10 SONGS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THIS ALBUM |

I agree with wadelink that they should have included SOMETHING besides the obvious singles. Still, this is a great introduction to a band that deserved way more credit and recognition than they got. |

HEAVY METAL LOVE, DON'T GET MAD (GET EVEN), ROCK YOU, DEEP CUTS THE KNIFE, and DREAM ON are (for me anyways) the best songs in the history of HELIX. Good band, I don't know why they are kinda underrated. |
