Michael Bormann of Jaded Heart brings this band to life after a debut that didn't hit the expected heights. Imagine Jaded Heart's darker twin. Some great songs and Bormann's usual excellent vocals. Very good indeed. |

A very strong follow up to the debut, featuring Michael Bormann (Jaded Heart, Rain etc) on vocals and ex Vandenberg drummer Jos Zoomer. A heavy, hard rocking cd that still retains melody and quite catchy choruses. The guitas shred and the mix is very loud. AOR fans will find little here but if you like heavier Bonfire, Victory,et al you wont be disapointed. |

WOW!!! How much I LOVE this one!!! Cruise hit it right on the nose.....Jaded Heart's darker twin!!! Bormann's vocals soar on this....with SUCH an edge!!! LOVE the song (C-Y-A!!) I was just blown away with this release!! |

There is a distinct difference in the songwriting from the first album to 'Joker In the Deck'. The new album is much more melodic which fits in well with Bormann's vocals. I'm not sure if the music was written with him in mind but the final result is very cool. Hopefully for Doc he can keep this line up together for a while so that BISS can do some live gigs. I'm confident they would be a top notch live act. |

Rycheage-apparently Borrman had a hand in the writing as did the others. This sounds much more a band effort than the debut. Fernando left Biss high and dry on the eve of a tour and Borrman stepped in. |

Any band that manages to snare two of my favourite vocalists ever for their two albums, plus being produced and contributed to by the mighty Michael Voss - F*ck me! How can you go worng? Answer is you can't, and Biss don't. Great CD! Not as good as Jaded Heart or Victory, but still good stuff. |

A LOS AMANTES DE JADED HEART LES SORPRENDERA UN POCO YA QUE TIENE UN SONIDO MAS OSCURO Y HEAVY Y EN ALGUNAS CANCIONES UN ESTILO MAS MODERNO.BUENA PRODUCCION Y GUITARRA.No ENTRA A LA PRIMERA EN VARIAS CANCIONES PERO AL FINAL ES BUENO PERO CUIDADO CON LOS AMANTES DEL HARD AOR PURO. |

I love to hear Michael Bormann sing period, but I really like it when he sings the heavier stuff. So this was food for my hungry little ears and it was just yummy!!! This is by far the heaviest project Bormann has been involved with. Songs like the monster opener "Dogfighter" and "The Flood" rock like a motherf*cker!!! The rest is solid as can be and melodic as hell. Some songs are better than others, but this thing is kick ass and very recomended!!! |

The previous commenters have really nailed this one right on the money.....Featuring the throat of Michael Bormann with ex VENGENCE and VANDENBURG members, this is a metalheads delite........Did I mention the bold production by Michael Voss (Bonfire)???? The guitar solos are MALMSTEEN like....right between the eyes. The bass and drums will groove your testicles to the wall. The songs are catchy with fabulous choruses and although modern influences are present, most is in the vein of RATT, WASP and QUIET RIOT. Great stuff here!!! |
