Temporary Message Board Closure
The company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that
would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling
to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different
platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content
(posts, user profiles, etc.).
However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere
from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated.
While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some
long-term savings.
The current message board will be closed down at some point this
Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are
reading this), will NOT be affected.

The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies
as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live
compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official
CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Compilations are also welcome to be added, as
long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

| I really dig both of Perris's "Hollywood Hairspray" compilations. It's a great listen for anyone who still digs hearing that old 80's Sunset Strip type of sound. They also do a pretty good job of mixing up established bands with up & comers. What a riff on "Heroes For Sale" by the Nasty Idols. Made me check out the full disc by them. Good Pretty Boy Floyd song too and by the title and band names you know EXACTLY what you're getting with this so if that's your thing this is way worth it!

| People like to bust on Perris Records for being low-budget and "amateurish," but I have to give them credit for putting out CD's like this, signing bands like these, and not making any bones about it. "This is what we do, like it or don't."
