fucking classic!!.without a shadow of a doubt the best aor record ever to come out of australia;jack jones has one of the most amazing voices in the business proving that he can give that special touch to every single track in here, but dont take my word for it!just check out songs : 1;5;6;8&10 theyre all to die for...what else can i say guys ...they dont make them like this any more.aussie aor never sounded sooooo good!!.

Agreed Rob, this is an absolute killer, and if this was made a few years earlier and the band were not Australian this one could've been huge. This guy sings the pants of pretty much anyone out there, and Buckle's songwriting skills shine through on this release. Its no good pointing out any particular songs as they are all so damned good there is no point. This album is so overlooked its very sad indeed. Jack Jones the last time i heard was doing Hendrix covers, what a waste of such a voice.

great-like "No Reins" period Little River Band.Better still get the Canadian release titled "Truth" - this combines the best 4 tracks off the debut with the best 7 tracks off the follow-up.Superb !!

An absolute monster pure AOR release. Utterly essential for everyone who's into the genre. The S/T debut contained the bigger hits but was a less consistent album, and on "Zone" it all went a bit alternative. "You Were There" is up there with Survivor's "Ever Since the World Began" and "Man Against the World" in the classic ballad stakes. Smooth vocals, crisp production, BIG songs. Classic.

Great album. Salute that the drummer Virgill Donati can hold his demon in this band. As a matter of fact, he is a monstrous drum virtuoso now playing with many high-skilled prog/speed metal guys like Planet X, a real contradiction to the Sons music.

This really was a great surprise. Man are there some good songs on this one! What a surprise! 'Lead me to water', 'Can't wait any longer' and the breath taking 'I still love you so' are three of my favourite songs to ever spring forth of these lovely Australian shores. Killer songs and overall a pretty damn good melodic rock album!

BUEN AOR.

A Belter of an album. As TIM (2) mentions, the debut had the hits, but this is the better one overall. One of THE best Aussie discs to get hold of. Consistently great in the song department and an absolutely killer bunch of musos, with Jack Jones's sublime vocals to top it all off. If you ain't got it, then track it down pronto. You will not be disappointed. AOR heaven indeed!!!

Truly an AOR gem. "I cant wait ainy longer" to me is AOR perfection. More important. No fillers. Just very classy stuff indeed. 8,9/10

A total masterpiece of brilliant, smooth AOR that commands great respect in my CD player. They were formerly known as THE STATE and lead vocalist, Jack Jones, has one of the finest AOR voices I've heard. It is truly amazing......had this band come from anywhere other than Australia, they would have been huge. Their sound comes off in the vein of RICHARD MARX, RUSS IRWIN and RICK PRICE in my opinion.
